How do you guys not have 100k subs, this is the best flyfishing channel on RUclips! Side note, little known fact San Diego bay has a year round native population of bonefish
@@permitfisher 100%sure, Cortez bonefish...it's not even a secret, it's just not really talked about... when you have the offshore fisheries like we do here in San Diego, not to many people want to catch bonefish in the bay. I'm all about the elusive "shiny and chrome" haha
@@Mobileweldingsolutions760 yup those bonefish rippppp too! So fricken fun and there sure are a lot of them. They get kicked to the side compared to all the other things people would rather target which trips me out.
a little different experience as it’s not true Flats style Bonefishing but I’ve heard the same thing. Surf perch and Corbina are fun too here in SD.....but if you get the chance Go to Abaco or other islands in The Bahamas for an amazing bonefish experience. I went to Abaco for the first time about 18 years ago and I’ve been obsessed since.
How y’all aren’t at 1 million subs already is baffling. Hands down the best fly fishing content out there. The production quality/filmmaking is top tier!
I just discovered y'all last week and have been really enjoying your content! I just gotta say that when Adam hooks that Bone Fish at 29:55 and starts running I laughed so hard because without context it would look so silly. Good on y'all for chasing these fish and all the other trips you do. It's definitely inspiring me to get back out fishing!
GREAT. What an adventure. We'll worth the effort. This series will make you guys. Beautifully shot, brilliant editing and cutting, sweet music overlay. Really good. Keep it cooking.
Scotty, you have fulfilled your goal, this is the best fishing content on the net. Excellent stuff boys. It would be an honor to fish with you fellas!!!
Thanks for bringing us another great trip. Your “Short Bus Diaries “ make me want to travel the western US and Canadian Rockies for a summer, unfortunately fuel prices have made it impossible for me. This trip is epic. I can’t imagine a two week excursion with a drunken captain, chasing a species that nearly every fly fisher has on their bucket list. Keep them coming so SE Tennesseans, like myself, can experience what we missed when we were younger.
Can not believe you guys don't yet have 100k. Love to watch these adventures and the time and effort you guys put into the production shows in every amazing shot. Like and comment for the algorithm!!!
Please take my husband on a trip with you when you get too 100K subscribers!! We have been watching your channel for quite a while now. I get him wild fly merchandise for Christmas and his birthday. He loves the freshwater fly fishing but we’ve also really been enjoying the salt water videos !!
Nice videos! As a fisherman who just overcame squamous cell carcinoma, I wish you guys would be more OCD about sunblock, but hey, we all learn in our own ways
This channel got me into fly fishing. Didn’t know it was even possible in Bama and now it’s all I do. Drove down to Florida for the week to get my saltwater fix in. Thanks guys and extremely grateful for what y’all do!
As new into flyfishing, i would love to see every episode what line, rod, reel ect you guys are using to compare what is needed to fish these places and pull out those fish :)
Hey Scottie! Long time viewer/ podcast listener. First time commenter. I just want to say I love the direction wild fly has gone, and the quality of y’all’s content in general lately. I also love when you include segments of interviews that explain what’s happening. Cant wait for more content, you’re killing it!!
Couple of good mates sharing the same passion and love traveling the world and filming it, most down to earth, pure humor, simple people, living the dream I'd say, welldone guys!
Absolutely love the content you put out with these fellas. I can’t believe you aren’t well over 100k already. I’m keen for what’s to come. Happy fishing from Australia!
Y’all keep up all the good content. I’ll give credit where it’s due watching y’all got me out fly fishing again and introducing my four year old to the sport. Thanks
Awesome. I like how you use the music to foreshadow catches. It builds and builds and I don’t know whether to trust it. Is it gonna hit? You balance the “silent” times with the hits well. I don’t want to watch a highlight reel…I know what it’s like to catch a fish. But I don’t want to watch 10mins of silence, I know what it’s like to not catch a fish.
This is by far my favorite you tube channel. I also was surprised when I realized you all did not have a 100k subscribers just yet. I have no doubt you all will soon be one of the most well known fishing channels. I wish fly fishing in the south was bigger than it is. Especially in north Alabama, Aldridge creek is an amazing fly fishing spot especially where the creek widens as it enters the Tennessee river. Though this area will always be known for the bass in Lake Guntersville those anglers who do not venture into the fly a bit are missing out.
Not many channels out there up to standard with y’all when it comes to production quality. I know it’s early but congrats on 100k much deserved boys. Glad to have contributed to this journey 💯🤙🏼
100k coming soon! Thanks for everything you guys do, I watch you everyday and my beginning journey in fly fishing couldn’t be more inspired by all You❤
Stoked for you guys! Oceanside flats can be really tricky! There's a lot more learning and timing involved than inside flats or lagoons. Don't always overlook spending time on a higher tide on oceanside flats. Especially later in an incoming tide can be great for permit and snook (if they are around) when its no longer ankle deep but more like crotch deep .
You guys are so good man don't stop doing videos. I watch them to be able to disappear from this house. I imagine myself at your place lol can't wait to go fly fishing again. Kind of hard with five kids now lol don't have twins. It's the worst.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fantastic! I always try to imagine the hard graft, time an effort that goes into bringing us this content and it boggles the mind! We all need to spread the word and help you get your much deserved 100K subscribers.
What’s up guys, thoughts on 8wt NRX+ paired w a Ross Evo LTX for salmon/steelhead and the occasional bonefish trip? Love the channel boys always look forward to your posts
I always in awe of the editing quality on these. I know how much work goes into these vids. Thanks for that. It gives great flow watching. I’m happy to see the evolution from the short bus to this. Thank you for promoting fly fishing in a way that is inviting to all!
Wow…I am so new, I hope I win and I can pass that trip to someone that it means the WORLD to…it would mean that to me but I’m too rookie…You guys are the BOMB…Roll Tide!!!…
That's rad that you are going to bring on a subscriber on a trip (BTW, I've been subscribed for a little bit now - hint hint LOL). My buddy and I recently picked up fly fishing the last few years, we just did a recent 2 week Montana trip. Because we didn't have any reception due to our location, I could not share your channel. So about 2 weeks ago I introduced him to your Short Bus Diaries and watched several of your videos. Both of us hooked on fly fishing and gathered even more inspiration from your videos, we recently ordered some shirts from Wild Fly and a bunch of flys from Blue Line Fly Co. I even told him it would be rad to fish with you guys.....
My experience (a fair bit) is that remote flats/ fish (e.g. Joulter Cays off Andros) that haven’t been fished very much become ghost towns after a day or two of fishing. Fish the flat a day then move on. Flats/ fish that see regular pressure ( Key Biscayne or Green Turtle) will be there every day, but are VERY difficult. Great channel!
Just subscribed. I have been watching your videos for awhile, but I am not super tech savvy didn’t know subscribing made a difference. I haven’t had a ton of time to fish recently do to work and kids. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to enjoy this passion through your videos. Always a pleasure, keep up the good work.
Im glad Airflo is helping out your channel, but they are the shittiest fly line on the market if you asked me. Bought a $100 line from them that I fished for an hour and held way too much memory be usable. Tried stretching the line to alleviate the problem and it snapped in half, and i used less force than a fish would have. Customer service rep was an asshole who would not stand by their product, blamed it squarely on me.

Well done fellas!! This channel has no doubt kept my passion of fly fishing alive. Trips like this make me want to get out on the water right now!!
Badass trip! Fished andros a few times… nothing like hunting flats fish! Keep up the good work!
How do you guys only have 145k. Amazing video guys

That “blue runner” was actually a green jack. Looks really similar but the green jacks are actually much rarer and much better tasting!
Love to see Kenny Powers taking on a new sport
You guys will hit 1 million before you know it, best fly fishing channel on RUclips
Good job fellas! Great episode!
Been here for it since 11k, yinz gotta let me know when you want that tying base for the bus!

Here you go!
Congratulations you have won a Shimano Antares A - CHAOS Fishing Reel

When i have a moment in time I watch your videos especially when I am not able to fish but come Monday I head North to those fishing waters I enjoy.
Does anyone know what area / country they were in for this trip?
Love the content! Its always playing in the background while I work. Why else have two screens right? Ha.

I freaking love this channels videos and especially series like this! Can’t get enough. This channel has convinced me to start fly fishing
What kind of camera do you use? Video quality is amazing in all of these. Really captures the moment
The stuff dreams are made of right there. I have yet to fly fish salt water. I would be the goof throwing a Rooster Tail.
Does anyone know the name of the tortoise costa sunglasses that Bryant is wearing on the boat? I’d really appreciate it!

Can you tell me how those Simms flats sneakers held up? And should I size up or stay with my street shoe size? Sorry for the shop question
They actually did great! They still look brand new. And they wore pretty true to size since we were only wearing a thin flats sock.
How/why don’t you guys fish with stripping baskets???
