Bronco Air Filter Replacement

- Fords stock air box seems to be pretty good so far, and I have not seen any major improvements with any of the currently available intakes, so I just dropped in a direct replacement air filter from Whipple, to help the air hungry Bronco breath a little bit better.

Thanks for the reminder to change mine! Lol
Odd that they went to screw’s instead of quick release clips for the air box. 🤔 maybe for rattling around during off-road use.
Does that filter come with a sticker? Everyone knows the extra horsepower really comes from putting the sticker on. My F250 had a K&N filter already installed when I got it but the previous owner didn't install the sticker so I don't get the 100 horsepower gain.
No unfortunately no sticker, so no gains for this one 😂
The Control Valve determines how much air goes into the engine not the air filter!! the air filter, just cleans the air from debris .... Unless you are racing on a track where the air control vale is all the way open, there is no gain in changing to factory air filer to an aftermarket one.
As long as enough air can get to the control valve, too restrictive of air flow means it never gets enough air to start with. Nothing wrong with ensuring there is nothing slowing or restricting air.
Also why I said there wouldn't be any performance increase, but having a washable filter on a vehicle that relies quite a bit a fresh air flowing to it, will save money over time instead of changing the paper filter everytime it gets a little clogged, especially if you are running in dusty , offorad areas.
Oil cotton filters aren’t that good at filtering particulates as paper. Don’t think those type of filters will be good for off-roading.
Yeah depends on the terrain and weather. if you are going to be running in sand or dusty environment , would either put a filter bag over this type of filter or put. paper one in.
