I like that whomever designed the arsenal accounted for the fact that powder-propelled kinetic ammunition wasn't commonplace in the Sentinel world. If you remember the Codex entries, they said that the Slayer arrived on Sentinel Prime carrying "munitions of arcane origin." Because of the miraculous energy provided by the Elemental Wraiths, their culture developed from Medieval times straight into energy based technology, which is why Doomguy's shotgun shells seemed so foreign to them; they never invented gunpowder. Instead, the Dark Ages arsenal includes energy weapons and other weapons that look like Medieval torture devices.

Honestly, I don't care too much for the game, since I don't generally play FPS games, but anything with Mick's name on it is going straight to my playlist.
Unfortunately it's not Mick but all signs point to David Levy and Andrew Hulshult, who did the DLC for Eternal, as long as the music sounds good (judging from this trailer it does) I'm cool with it

As far as fps games go, the newer Doom games are about as polished and smooth as you can get. Not to mention, they look so good and still load up so fast, I'm convinced the developers are using actual black magic in the process. Or they're living testement of just how unoptimized and lazy 90% of triple-A actually is.
