Awkward if only because it's a reminder that he did, indeed have children, and a wife: I mean to say that - although he did live like a magus out of a fantasy novel; though in some ways I am sure he *was* a magus, a trickster - Perry was only (after all)(in some ways) just an ordinary man, and the children are a reminder of that.
