Thrill of the fight is brutal. I haven't seen a game where you realistically lose for being tired. You really want to hug the boxer to stop him from hitting you. I always thought they would come with a more developed sequel with multiplayer.
I Have Great News. The new game is Focused on Multiplayer. Not like Arcade type like the first one. AND ITS GONNA BE RELEASED LATER THIS YEAR. FYI collaboration with halfbrick.
TOTF is the closest I’ve come to feeling like I just sparred in the gym. That, and the punch force and speed readouts, so that throwing too many hard punches to try and Ko your opponent will completely wear you out. You actually have to pace yourself and not gas out. So much fun. I only do about 1-2 fights per day
I need to get back into it. I kept the difficulty around normal as the durability on certain boxers are incredibly tough. As for me, one day I actually did about probably five or six fights, sparring partner all the way up to spider who's reach made things incredibly difficult for me.
TOTFs stamina isn’t realistic because you’re shadow boxing instead of actually hitting someone, shadow boxing takes less energy than actually fighting someone which is why creed is more realistic

Great video! I will say TotF definitely does not require that much playspace. I've been playing the game for a few years now pretty regularly and the game is good at respecting your playspace and not requiring you to move much if you can't. I have played extensively on both PCVR and Quest 2 and in both scenarios I don't have a lot of room and the game works just fine. :)
@@shananarocks Maybe! Depending on how much sensitive stuff you have around you, it may. I used to play in a space that wasn't too much bigger than that with my TV directly off to my left, so I just had to be reeeeeeally careful not to swing too far out to the left. I think it depends on how long your arms are, also, so it may be different for you than it was for me. But importantly, you can definitely play without using a whole lot of footwork at all. Just be careful on your reach. :)
@@magusx1125 Just bought and tested. Space is ok since my centre poin is the edge of my bed. So that area is for my arm reach while the other 1 metre back is to step back or go back to ring corner. It works. Now I am sweating profusely after 15 minutes. Indeed the reviews of losing weight is true.
Excellent summary! I'm so grateful I found your video! I'm currently weighing my options. I want a more realistic game that incorporates footwork/body movement, punching the opponent in a variety of areas, and being able to block-dip-slip-circle away on defense.
I have a pretty small play area and didn't find it an issue for TTOTF. Not that I wouldn't like more space, but it didn't seem to affect gameplay much. Creed's ability to move around without actually walking around is awesome though.
@@noblesquashy Yeah I don't think I'll ever be able to master using creeds movement in an actual fight, except for those partial knockdown moments where it's actually usable to close the gap.
I've only played Creed, but it's awesome. Really love the workout you get. My only two gripes, and they're kind of big ones for me, is how short the single player game is especially at the price point. Waiting for it to go on sale, unless they add more fights/modes. But it's a really great game otherwise, imho
I played both of these games and I can say that if you want a very realistic boxing game, a real simulation which makes you sweat and tired, with punching and movement accuracy, go for Thrill of the Fight! Creed has only better graphics, career mode and multiplayer mode. But as you play, is not as realistic as Thrill of the Fight. Its still a decent game, is fun. But if you want simulation, go for TOTF!
ive been playing creed rise to glory for years and its helped me MASSIVELY to improve my boxing and to practice accurately as well as head movement and learning what to do against combos that people throw often. I train in MMA and did taekwondo before that (I didn't choose to lol) and i had to teach myself boxing and I wanted to improve badly, Ive played thrill of the fight a few times but due to my room size and the stuff I have in it I cant move around to hit the opponent if he steps back so I play creed as its much better for space and there's a sparring mode where you can make your own round times and choose how many breaks you have and how long. Creed is perfect as the slow motion when you dodge allows you to see the weaknesses in the guard so when you fight for real you know whats open when that combo is thrown, I went from getting my face bashed in often during sparring to me slipping, ducking and dodging feeling like prime canelo and landing all my shots flush with perfect timing thanks to this game and its improved my fitness and cardio beyond what I thought I was capable. All boxing games are fun to me but this one to me is the absolute best for small spaces and is good practice when your against the ropes as you then cant really move anyways however if you have the space, thrill of the fight is the best for realism.
Creed is pretty lit, I play only multi-player and the matches come quick. I also can get winded during one fight. Some people are really good and you learn techniques every fight
ive played both Creed and ToTF, and my personal opinion.. Totf feels more realistic in terms of boxing, though the audience are dull, voice actors are *mehh and punch effects needs more *umph! But your own endurance will play a big roll here though, and itll test your limits forsure. Creed is more of a campaign based game. Its fun, graphics are great, its lively, audience sound real, voice actors sound good, and its always great playing as certain characters from the movie. But in terms of boxing, it's not as realistic. You have a stamina meter that goes down way before you yourself will even get tired just for throwing harder punches. It's realistic in terms of technique (having to conserve stamina and looking for opening shots), but ToTF does that too. You're just not limited on game stamina. But i hate how playing Creed online, you could get rocked from someone just throwing a limp punch and itll have you dazed. Which makes no sense to me. In ToTF you better throw a good punch or youll come up short. ToTF also uses real reach with drift mode on. It makes it so that you have to be either close or far enough for a punch to be effective or hit. And i love the fact that you can move around like you would in a real ring. In Creed i can knockout/down AI opponents easily. But in ToTf youll have to try harder and place your shots right. I have both games, Creed for family fun times/multiplayer, and ToTF for real boxing simulation and working out. Disclaimer** playing these games wont make you a real fighter 😆 but i have no doubts itll get you into better shape.
This is a FANTASTIC additional breakdown. Creed is definitely not as realistic, and neither will make you a pro boxer. All are a good workout if you focus in on making it a workout.

@noblesquashy OK, having just tried the new creed update I would like to revoke my previous statement about creed, if they don't fix the game I will be switching to thrill.
@noblesquashy the punching feels like you're fighting a cpr training dummy in my opinion. I think the hit boxes on the fists may be broken. But that might just be on quest standalone. It seems like they've received a lot of backlash in the reviews as it doesn't run as well on quest anymore.
Since I already have TOTF I rather creed instead of knockouts league because more realistic now fire punches and stuff and I am quite fan of Rocky series
the closest you will get to “real” boxing technique is Thrill of the Fight, but also, it’s not going to make you a god of IRL boxing. So if it isn’t fiscally good for you to buy Thrill, play Creed since you already have it! It’s fun!
TOTF: Realistic Boxing for ideal Skill Training and Cardio Creed: Gamified Boxing for less effective Skill Training and Cardio than TOTF, with the benefit of more Fun Knockout League: Cartoonish Boxing purely for Fun, with maybe a bit of Cardio Personal Opinion: I play TOTF to get cardio and practice my boxing after lifting. But I’m also going to get Creed because it looks fun and has multiplayer. Knockout League just seems pointless for my goals, only get it if you’re just trying to have fun.
Some problems with creed that you might not notice and make you realize that gameplay is very different from thrill. Punch Damage 1. When you punch, it's either blue or red, blue meaning you did 10 damage and red meaning you did 20, but since it's almost impossible to land a blue punch while you are in a match every punch is basically 20 damage so it's only how many times you can punch in a second Blocking 2. Punching an enemies block literally does nothing. In thrill of the fight, depending on which punch you performed and how much force you put into the punch and the enemy blocked it, the hands will move and can push the enemy back a little bit. Health Points 3. Creed uses a health bar and considering that you can only do 20 damage per hit is kind of lame. In thrill of the fight there is no health bar, as each punch you use is a different effect and depending on how hard you hit them and where really affects your gameplay, this makes it so combos actually matter (like in actual boxing) The only real thing to worry about in Thrill is the way you fight. Before playing I would recommend learning the basics of boxing so that your form and punching power is accurate. In my opinion thrill of the fight is a much better work out and if it's too easy, or you want to practice things such as dodging, or reaction time, you can specially customize the opponents traits to however you want it to be, so the game doesn't get old and boring.
I’m sure you are absolutely correct here. I think the trade off is that this becomes an avenue for people to become interested in actual boxing. Although it may be regrettable they have poor muscle memory, having more people working out there bodies and a part of an actual boxing community is worthwhile for most to get one of these, if interested.
I would not have gotten so into TOTF if I hadn't played Creed first. But once I got through Creed, I'm sticking to TOTF. Thrill also has a very quick start up. Takes very little time to get going.
All these are great for losing weight, just depends on what motivates you. Each game motivates just a little differently. Knockout League is my personal motivator. Wacky opponents!
@@footditz7254 Honestly, outside of money considerations they are all worth their weight when it comes to comparing their prices. Enjoy beating people up!
I don't get why people like Thrill of the Fight. I've never knocked an opponent down, it feels like you're just punching a wall of pillows for 15 minutes and then the ref will declare you the winner. Theres no satisfactory impact or feeling of power, you just feel weak and tired while your opponent is always so close to you you might as well be making out.
ive played on my nephews, i felt the same, i litereally destroyed my opponent, threw 100s of punches, and he just wouldnt go down, i really went for it and was sweating! and yeah the fighter is like way infront of your face constantly that you back off yet hes still inches from your face lol im so tempted to try creed no i have my own quest but so unsure wether to or not
Creed is the worst game. No debate whatsoever. It’s all spamming, you cant walk backwards, it’s expensive asf, the only workout in it is getting up from being knocked down, and it is so incredibly unrealistic. Whoever made the game has never boxed in his life. The whole game revolves around turning your back to your opponent and then run, spam for 2 seconds, repeat and then very awkwardly move your head backward (because that’s the only way to slip a punch since they haven’t even programmed an actual slip into the game) and then spam again and win the fight in one round. Or you can also get knocked out because one weak shot from your opponent knocks you out instantly. TotF understands boxing and understands how combos work. In TotF you can use different styles of boxing. There is absolutely no debate in the slightest. The only thing creed does better is story. That’s it. Both other games do absolutely everything better. No debate.
I play creed rise to glory and thrill of the fight to be honest I think creed is over priced but worth it and thrill of the fight is just the right price and creed is more better beacause you don’t have to hit the weak points and you can just hit them once n the head and knock them out. So creed is more better.

the closest you will get to “real” boxing technique is Thrill of the Fight, but also, it’s not going to make you a god of IRL boxing. So if it isn’t fiscally good for you to buy Thrill, play Creed since you already have it! It’s fun!
Thanks. Btw This video explains how vr boxing can help if you make a few adjustments. ruclips.net/video/irVYXgEqR5s/видео.html
Watching this video and reading some comments I think I’m a get TOTF instead of Creed thanks!
Glad this could help!!
You didn’t even mention the mixed reality setting on TOTF? i wanted to know if the other two titles have this option?
I honestly don’t think it had it when I made this video. This is pre Quest 3, but it may have existed and I missed it
It did not exist. Great vid. Thrill of the night is by far the b3st boxing simulator there is.
@@sfking00 thank you, king 👑
Knockout league is 100% based off of punch out i love it
It's really a great Punch Out VR game with its own spin and creativity. So much fun!
Thrill of the fight has MR so it's a no brainer now.
Still need to check this out on my own. Really cool add from them.
I perfer creed being able to pivot irl and unlimited stamina is dependent on ur irl stamina
anyone here remember path of the warrior?
Thrill of the fight would be the best if it had multiplayer that's the only reason creed would be better
I completely agree with this!
Thrill of the fight by a mile
A respectable choice!
TOTF: Realistic Boxing for ideal Skill Training and Cardio
Creed: Gamified Boxing for less effective Skill Training and Cardio than TOTF, with the benefit of more Fun
Knockout League: Cartoonish Boxing purely for Fun, with maybe a bit of Cardio
Personal Opinion: I play TOTF to get cardio and practice my boxing after lifting. But I’m also going to get Creed because it looks fun and has multiplayer. Knockout League just seems pointless for my goals, only get it if you’re just trying to have fun.
This is an excellent breakdown! Have fun with TotF and Creed!
Personally I play creed and yeah, it’s super goddamn fun
@@siliswest498 💯💯💯
The new thrill of the fight will have multiplayer
@@ssd3303 really? A new update or a name game? Because I played creed and it’s fucking dog shit
Some problems with creed that you might not notice and make you realize that gameplay is very different from thrill.
Punch Damage
1. When you punch, it's either blue or red, blue meaning you did 10 damage and red meaning you did 20, but since it's almost impossible to land a blue punch while you are in a match every punch is basically 20 damage so it's only how many times you can punch in a second
Blocking
2. Punching an enemies block literally does nothing. In thrill of the fight, depending on which punch you performed and how much force you put into the punch and the enemy blocked it, the hands will move and can push the enemy back a little bit.
Health Points
3. Creed uses a health bar and considering that you can only do 20 damage per hit is kind of lame. In thrill of the fight there is no health bar, as each punch you use is a different effect and depending on how hard you hit them and where really affects your gameplay, this makes it so combos actually matter (like in actual boxing)
The only real thing to worry about in Thrill is the way you fight.
These are some really great additional items. I agree that TOTF is the better workout and sim. Thanks for typing this up!!
Knockout League ❤❤❤️😎😎😎
On mine it like 7.99
if you play these games you will build bad muscle memory when you actually start boxing or any other striking martial art
Finishing Creed is definitely a gateway drug to Thrill 😂
Dude creeds boxing is only 15GBP
Creed game lets you play as Michael B Jordan lol. Only because i want to play boxing games os because i want to lose some weight
All these are great for losing weight, just depends on what motivates you. Each game motivates just a little differently. Knockout League is my personal motivator. Wacky opponents!
I'm going to get both
I have creed rn but I'm going to get thrill of the fight in January
@@footditz7254 Honestly, outside of money considerations they are all worth their weight when it comes to comparing their prices. Enjoy beating people up!
I got thrill just cause it was cheapest haha
A very reasonable approach! It has A LOT for 10 bucks.
They just announced Thrill of the Fight 2 - ruclips.net/video/rAm9WKmSUsw/видео.html
I saw! I’m so excited!
In my opinion creed is my fav because it’s more fun but if you want a realistic one get thrill of the fight
A great take!
Thrill is ill!
creed is not the realistic option its ttotf
I don't get why people like Thrill of the Fight. I've never knocked an opponent down, it feels like you're just punching a wall of pillows for 15 minutes and then the ref will declare you the winner. Theres no satisfactory impact or feeling of power, you just feel weak and tired while your opponent is always so close to you you might as well be making out.
Have you tried the other boxing games and enjoyed them more?
@@noblesquashy yeah Creed wasn't bad but theres not a lot to keep you playing.
ive played on my nephews, i felt the same, i litereally destroyed my opponent, threw 100s of punches, and he just wouldnt go down, i really went for it and was sweating! and yeah the fighter is like way infront of your face constantly that you back off yet hes still inches from your face lol
im so tempted to try creed no i have my own quest but so unsure wether to or not
@TanCoyer I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Creed if you are comfortable affording it!
@@noblesquashy cheers mate , I'll add it to my list of eventually will buy games,
I'm umming and arring over beatsaber atm lol
Thrill of the fight is by far the best, the others are pure dogshit
thrill of the fight is the best and most realistic creed is honestly dogshit and not really realistic the other game is a clown show imo
I think Creed is massively overrated. It's so unrealistic I'll never allow myself to play it
