Strike King's Mr Crappie catches everything. My preferred color is the Electric Chicken. I've caught bluegills, pikeminows, bass, stripers and trout with it. The irony is I still havent caught any crappie with it, lol. Nice video brother!!
Thats awesome, theyre a fun fish to catch. Ive passed several people on the river each time Ive gone and theyre reporting 2 or 3 fish caught. I think most people are fishing too fast or not sure what to look for. I do enjoy targeting them though. Thanks for watching!
I wonder how many thousands of white bass there are in that little stretch of river we can see from the bow of your kayak. They are amazingly prolific.
That was awesome! Caught white bass for the first time in numbers last year up at Wheeler. They sure do fight hard and will out compete any other fish when they are schooling in an area. Bet that was a blast on lighter line.
great vid. Do you launch at the labonte park boat ramp and then paddle down past that bridge? I live in the bluff and go salwater fishing all the time but want to try this out.
Thats awesome, theyre a blast. I use to do a ton of freshwater and bass tournaments. These days Im 70%/30% salt/fresh due to location but Ill always have the passion for freshwater. You fishing Lake CC for em?
@Jacemang_Outdoors I've heard of locals catching them year round in the river it's only a rumor but I know people catch lots of gaspergou in the nueces during the summer so I'd say it's worth a try
Good stuff, I dont enjoy trolling as much to catch em but it works when theyre deeper. Theyre still pretty shallow in South TX, so casting the banks has been productive. Also I like to feel that thump when they hit, haha.

They make great stuff for sure. Think the crappie are still in the lakes for the most part. May have to make a trip soon. Thank you.
I look for white bass about every spring the last 5 years they’ve been harder to find in my area of Texas sadly. This trip looks like it was amazing!

Awesome video! I’ve been hitting there since late January and only caught a few here and there. But I see them running now. Gonna hit it Monday.
Thanks. Theyre definitely in, just have to cover the river a bit to find em.
That was a cool video.. something different, nice job !!
Thank you. I enjoyed being out there. Might have to make another trip before the run ends.

Sometimes I wonder the same thing, especially when bite is on and theyre hitting every cast. Theyre thick for sure.

Nice! What day was this?
Nice Kayak.! Can you give some specs on it ? Interested jn getting one
Thanks, its a Hobie Outback 12'9", 85lbs
Is it too shallow for a boat? I normally troll for them down there
Right now its extremely shallow unless you dont mind getting out to pull your boat often. Once water levels come back up, you should have no issues.

Thanks man
Any suggestions how to cast white bass from the bank I was planning going this Saturday
I was finding them on the drops, 4 to 8 feet off the bank and focus on brush piles. Some hold in brush along the bank to get out of the current.
Great video, where did you launch the kayak from? Thx
I wonder if it was you that I seen about a month ago
Wasnt uo there last month so likely not.
When is thec run stars
Now
I live on the river and I can't catch bass like you do
Anyone can catch em, just gotta find where theyre holding
Any in tennesee
I believe so but its been a couple years since Ive been on that fishery. Dont have many specifics for that area.
Bro I literally fished for a year and have not caught a bass out here can you catch a bass in the first 5 seconds wtf
Moving current, drops, ledges, brush piles. They move but can usually find em.
