For spiritbonding, theres a button in character > actions&traits > general, called materia extraction. Plop that on your hotbar. Click it. Select what category you wanna look at (inventory, weapons, head/armor, hands/legs/feet, trinkets i think), and it will show pieces with 100% spiritbond right there. No need for a macro to sort each inventory.
I swear I sounded like a freaking kettle when I saw this comment. As someone starting off being an omnicrafter/gatherer (before you call me nuts, look at my username on here), this is extremely helpful, to put it mildly.
The /isearch command can be used with quote marks for items that have more than 1 word, so you don't get a lot of random results. For example, when you searched for silver ingot, the chat said "18 matches found containing "silver"", meaning only the first word got searched; yet if you do /isearch "silver ingot" it'll show you exactly what you're looking for.
***EDIT** There is a Materia extraction window under skills, yes we are aware. I use the macro still because I am in armoury window a whole lot more and it reminds me to extract there. @sb well firstly, I play on controller so mouse over doesn't really apply to me and many other players, You can easily make it a mouse over macro with changing it though since you have a personal knowledge as it seems. The o/ is suppose to be a place holder for whatever the player wants to put there. again, not something I need to explain to mostly adults here.
My favourite chat command that not a lot of people know about is /clearlog To put it simply, it just clears all the logs in general, event, battle and system chat logs.. Pretty handy when you need to clear out a lot of spam or clutter, or in your case, to clear out multiple /isearch results
@@BunBossFFXIV Of course go for it! Also, a small correction on your /isearch macro.. the isearch function only searches for the first word in your search info. So for example, when you do /isearch silver ingot, it is only searching for the word "silver" .. so if you want to search a specific item with more than one word, use the quotation marks. So in this case, doing /isearch "silver ingot" will ONLY show results which has both of those words in that order. The same is true when using macro for skills that have more than one word.
Thank you for sharing this. I've been playing this game for years and had absolutely no idea this was a thing. I would normally just ignore my chat logs or log out to clear it.
with spells and multiple possible targets: you may use mouseover for that, for example like this: /merror off /ac "Kardia" /ac "Kardia" /micon "Kardia" whoever you tickle with your mouse prior to macro execution will receive kardion effect and without mouseover it goes to aka tank
Don't know if you've updated the sprint macro recently but if you change it to look like this /merror off /micon "Sprint" /gaction "Mount Roulette" /ac "Sprint" /ac "Peloton" It'll let you mount when standing still and use sprint/peloton when running instead of the one you have in the video which won't let you sprint/peloton in the open world. only problem is when in a dungeon/city it'll say 'can't mount here' and when in the open world it'll attempt to mount before sprinting which looks a little off. but it's super convenient.
On the /isearch command, if you do not put quotation marks around multiple words, it will only use the first word you type. Using /isearch "silver ingot" will return only items that specifically have that pair of words in it's name, like if you have silver ingots and hardsilver ingots.
A variation on the sprint macro I've been using: /micon "Sprint" action /merror off /levelsync /ridepillion /ridepillion /ridepillion /ridepillion /ridepillion /ridepillion /ridepillion /ac "Mount Roulette" /ac "Sprint" /ac "Peloton" This will auto-mount any multi-seat mount that a party member has already summoned, and it will use the first available seat that is unoccupied. Granted if it's a 2 seater and someone is already in the second seat then it won't hop on, but that's why it's followed immediately by mount roulette so you just call out your own mount instead. :) And if you're already mounted and flying to a FATE, this will toggle the level sync and dismount (due to the mount roulette action.) You can do "/levelsync on" to make sure it's on and stays on if you accidentally hit the macro again. But if you don't add "on" or "off" it will toggle between states, which can be handy if you're on a group hunt and someone goes down you can quickly unsync, change to a healer job if needed, raise/heal, take care of any non-FATE adds, change back to whatever job you were, then resync to continue fighting. I just make sure if I don't want to mount up (ie: I need to un/resync to a FATE) then I just need to be moving when I execute the macro so it cancels the mount roulette action.
One thing for the Sprint macro at 1:15 I checked out: If you prefer to use a specific mount over the Mount Roulette, you can replace the /ac "Mount Roulette" with /mount "Name of Mount" and you'll just do that mount instead.
One annoying thing about the combined mount/sprint macro is that there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the "mount unavailable in this location" text (and the accompanying error noise) that pops up on your screen. Not sure what /merror actually does but it doesn't turn that off. That only affects the mount action however! Combining Sprint and Peloton in that macro works flawlessly. Gonna test it a bit more but it looks like this will free up a precious slot on my phys. ranged crossbars since I no longer need to separately put Peloton on their crossbars.
I'm not sure exactly what the issue is but as a newer player, the sprint macro simply doesn't work for my mount. Maybe "Mount Roulette" is something you unlock later, but it does not summon my Company Chocobo. I resolved this by replacing /ac "Mount Roulette" with /mount "Company Chocobo". In case there are any other new players other there.
@@BunBossFFXIV I did favorite it and still had the same issue. Perhaps I need to have at least 2 set to favorite? I really don't know, I just know it doesn't work for me unfortunately
@@zachwithnok hmmm , it most definite is a user error, as I have been using this and testing it with others as well for a while. If you don't mind join my discord and I can help you figure it out there, just ping me when you get in and let me know its you from the comments and i'll happily take a look at it :D
For /isearch if the thing your searching for has a space in it like "iron ore" Then put it in quotation marks to search for the whole thing rather then just the first word like we see here at 0:40 where it only searched "pewter" and not "pewter ore", Example: /isearch "pewter ore" not /isearch pewter ore
For controller player you can assign "assist target" to L3 or R3 in the controller configuration. It's really helpful if you play healer since it switches between your current target and the target your target is looking; for example boss -> tank and tank -> boss. This way you can switch target quickly between the two.
So, "/assist" will change to the target of whichever player you were targeting when executing the command. If you instead use "/target " it will change your target to whoever your current target is looking at, whether your current target is another player - or a boss or normal monster. This works better for me when healing, as I can be hitting the boss and use this to auto-target the tank (or whichever unfortunate DPS is getting smacked by my target) for heals/shields.
So many of these Sorting macros and Search macros should be part of the game. It is insane that these aren't already part of the UI. Great macros though! Fixing what Square refuse to do themselves.

Probably should advise that using the Sprint macro should primarily only be used in the open world and not for instanced content. Sprint already has an inherent delay (unless you're using a certain addon), and macroing will make that worse since it won't be able to queue. Having sprint be as responsive as possible is a good idea for combat.
You actually do want sprint macro'd for high end content but you want the "/ac sprint" repeated on every line. Spint doesn't have a delay but it is a non-queueing action (just like pots). By using a macro the spams the /ac you can simulate queueing and make it easier to weave sprint when needed without losing your second weave slot or clipping your gcd
@@andrewrobillard7192 That's why I mentioned there being an addon that solves that issue with Sprint (as well as potions) so you don't have to deal with janky macros.
