      @ I have its younger brother, the GTS. The Langdon 92 in my opinion is the real world version of the Samurai Edge from the Resident Evil series. In RE the Kendo brothers made the 92 into high performance. Same thing in the real world with what Langdon did. Know what I mean?

    Absolutely I've been using NP3 and NP3 Plus since 2011. I use it exclusively on my Beretta open class race gun I built.

      Lucky for you, it's on the market. It's called "DLC", and is offered on some LTT builds and many of their parts. Third parties also provide coating services if you want to go crazy and coat everything. We could argue about how it's not NP3 due to the lack of teflon etc but I'd say in my experience it doesn't really make a difference especially if the contact surfaces are polished and you want a dark coating. I personally like NP3 for the two tone, but there are a lot of PVD coatings out there that functionally have the same results (different properties on paper). There's also NP3 plus, NT7 and NT7 plus. NT7 apparently replaced NP3, but again I really don't think there is a practical difference. There is on paper though, so there's a chance I'm wrong, but I haven't seen anyone actually prove it.

    I have 4 LTT pistols. 3 PX4s and 1 92. Only one is NP3 and it has been the least reliable firearm I have ever bought. It is the most finicky with a wide range of ammo. It had to be sent back for repair from my first time I opened the box and I still have issue after I received it. Might just be an out of tolerance lemon, but it also doesn’t fit the holsters my other px4s fit. I think the trigger guard is somehow thicker. These problems probably have nothing to do with being np3 but I haven’t noticed anything about the np3 that will ever have me paying for it again.

      @@Rubeless not sure why you’re skeptical of my comment. Sounds like your reading comprehension is low since my comment says I sent it back to them. They fixed the extractor pin that was causing the slide to lock up. They test fired it and sent it back. So if I tell them it doesn’t run the ammo I normally use or fit in the holsters that my other px4s fit in they are just going to say that’s my problem with holsters and ammo. Admittedly I am shooting cheap ammo. But it’s new brass and works in all my other guns without issue so I don’t know what to tell you. You can spend your money however you want, but I will probably buy more LTTs in the future and I can tell you none of them are going to be NP3. Just sharing my experience.

    NP3 is only superior to the manufacturer of the parts. It's a cheaper way to "finish" a product. I wouldn't get too comfortable with NP3, it’s likely going to be banned soon.

    Everyone should watch the movie Dark Waters. Teflon is a great lubricant, but the downsides are deadly and all derivatives of it should be removed from the market, it is a shame that LTT is using PTFE on their products. Before anyone comments that it is PTFE is still technically legal in USA to use on products, so was PFAS. Dupont and other companies knew it was harmful and use it's vast resources to fight the research and efforts to ban it for decades. The research is still catching up to PTFE and it's only a matter of time now before it follows PFAS.

    • @lllllllllllillllllll
      @lllllllllllillllllll 10 дней назад +1

      I genuinely don't think LTT intend to do harm by selling NP3 lol. Trying to shame a company for providing a coating and being transparent of its makeup is silly. The PTFE is embedded in the coating, and you're not handling the parts often. Arguably firing guns is far worse for you, who knows how bad the powder burning is for you plus the oils in your gun.
      It's good to be aware and make people aware of PFAS and microplastics but you should work on your messaging.

    • @terminator7619
      @terminator7619 10 дней назад

      @@lllllllllllillllllll They may not be "intending to do harm" but the only reason Teflon and it's derivatives are being used are because companies keep buying it to use on their products. Give Dark Waters a watch, that side of the chemical industry is criminal and in this day and age, companies should know better than to continue using it in their products, to the demise of their users. The deadly health effects of Teflon are well documented, and putting it on products is completely unnecessary, there are plenty of lubricants which don't contain deadly forever chemicals.
