My gods, a Frenchman with an English sense of humour. It's amazing, please drag him back regularly. He's absolutely brilliant and so dry. He cuts the boys down with a phrase. Damn he's fantastic.
Gordon's first forays into television were like that, but reality TV pushed him to become a freak to increase ratings and he's now at the point of no return.
@@ismailniyaz5167 He tried to make a come back a few years ago in the UK, where he was more chill. Since chillness goes down better with British audiences then aggressiveness. Some of the stuff he did on American TV he wouldn't get away with in the UK. I don't think the UK series did all that well, cus it ain't going anymore.
I can’t believe their first solution to not having the nozzle at the bottom of thr bag was just to shove a whole hecking hand down into the custard - brilliant 😂
They could have snipped the tip squeezed out all of it back into the bowl, then put the tip in and spooned it all back into the bag. ....but this was funnier. The look on Chef's face... like "wtf?" Priceless.
"You've caught us at a bad time" Holy shit, lol. I've just been binging old sorted videos for the past 2 hours and while they are all amusing to some degree, this moment had me CRACKING up. Love this video, chef lanlard is hilarious too. "...no."
Mike the kind of student to take down notes for the test but still gets owned by his classmate (Jamie) who just kind of guesses on the multiple choice part of the test
Can I just.... this is the funniest friggin episode. I swear I nearly asphyxiated myself laughing when they had to put the piping tip in after they'd filled the bag. Seriously. Tears running down my face. This episode simultaneously fixed my blood pressure, cleaned my house, and watered my crops. A++ Thank you for this gem.
In France (apparently in the UK as well) you are not allowed to use wooden spoons or cutting boards etc to cook in public restaurants, cafeterias etc, because wood is porous so bacterias could penetrate and stay there. But I think it's quite controversial. anyway at home, use wooden ustensils, the food tastes better!
I think it's not just part of uk or french, i think it's worldwide. So that's why people use silicon apparatus now. It's the people who are over-concern about the wooden spoon might get broken, the pieces might get in the food, and of course about the bacteria.
I prefer the silicone spatula because you can easily scrape all of the mixture out of the bowl. Chefs don't usually have to do their own cleaning and washing up so they don't mind how much is left behind in the bowl. Wooden spoon = waste and messy washing up + risk of food poisoning.
Loved loved LOVED this. I have not laughed like that in a while, and I really needed a laugh this morning. Please do more of these! You're onto something with this format. :D
This is amazing! Love the format, the banter, the recipe (holy crap, I'm drooling) and just everything! Super funny and informative. Pretty sure you two need your own Food Network show.
this one and the vid where ben + james are figuring out a swedish recipe are the vids i keep coming back to. they always cheer me up on a bad day. thank you guys for being awesome =)
This has been absolutely brilliant. Can we get another episode with chef Lanlard? It's been a while now and I absolutely love this guys sense of humour.
Mike, Jamie, you didn't completely balls it up, well done. Chef, I applaud your patience. I've never had an eclair that looked like them, I'll have to keep looking.
I'm still at the 5th minute of the video and I had to stop it to write this comment because I am just dying of laughter! Mike and Jamie are the best archetypes of an ingenious student who takes notes seriously, and of an awkwardly funny but pretentious student who gets everything wrong!! I adore how Jamie makes a fool of himself, this is the smartest way of living! And Eric is so hilarious, it puts him on a new level of sexy! :))
Jamie was totally enamored with Eric Lanlard. And Eric Lanlard was totally enamored with Mike. A total ménage à l'éclair. I don't think I've ever heard anyone with both a British AND a French accent. It was super rad.
Oh, my god. RUclips keeps putting it on my recommendations, so I watch it now in third or fourth time. And I laugh every time! It is one of your best ones) Thanks!
I love Eric Lanlard's work! I do hope my future husband has the same expression of joy & excitement when I walk down the aisle, as Mike when Eric said his going to teach them how to make eclairs. :-D
Jamie: "My name is Jamie"
Chef Lanlard: "No"
"is this how you..."
Chef Lanlard: "No"
Diana Díaz I laugh everytime I see this comment
Love how aggressively passive aggressive the chef is abt the wooden spoon
He is indeed French.
It's really important tho
He uses wooden spoons in the spun sugar video!
Soooo funny. His bitterness is palpable!
That chef fit in really well with the sorted crew.
"It's supposed to be eclairs, not baguettes!" 😂 More episodes with Chef Eric, please. His personality goes well with Mike's and Jamie's.
Just so long as Barry is not involved. Chef would scream his head off at him for leaving the stove on.

And that phrase? "No."
Jamie: breathes
Chef lanlard: no
MORE CHEF LANLARD!!!!! He was great!
Chef Lanlard... Kind of reminded me of Gorden Ramsey if he transforms all his active aggressiveness into passive aggressiveness.
Yan Tse with a French accent. XD
This comment needs more attention 😂😂😂😂

HrothgarXII They could have gotten a second bag, put the tip in, then cut the end of the full bag and put that inside the bag with the tip.
Meskarune there was definitely a better way to do that than shoving a whole hand in the bag
They could have snipped the tip squeezed out all of it back into the bowl, then put the tip in and spooned it all back into the bag.

Good for the clicks
Mike the kind of student to take down notes for the test but still gets owned by his classmate (Jamie) who just kind of guesses on the multiple choice part of the test
"great job guys, good eclairs" *proceeds to throw it in the bin after they leave* lmfao xD
well Mike stuck his hand into the filling
Chef Lanlard, what a legend 😂
Jamie: says something
Chef Lanlard: "no"
HOLY SHIT THIS WAS BLOODY FUNNY
alex ikr I was literally pissing myself
Chef Lanlard, was amazing, totally got what sorted was all about and playfully added to the group dynamic

I need supercut of Mike saying, 'YOU IDIOT!" to people. It's so satisfying. :D
my bf and I literally cried with laughter at "you've caught us at a bad time".
more vids with chef eric plz
I love Eric Lanlard. And I feel you Eric, wooden spoons are the best ! #frenchuniteforthefreedomofthewoodenspoon
Pardon my ignorance, but whats the health issue with wooden spoons?
In France (apparently in the UK as well) you are not allowed to use wooden spoons or cutting boards etc to cook in public restaurants, cafeterias etc, because wood is porous so bacterias could penetrate and stay there. But I think it's quite controversial. anyway at home, use wooden ustensils, the food tastes better!

For me it's just that wooden utensils are somehow easier to handle.
I prefer the silicone spatula because you can easily scrape all of the mixture out of the bowl. Chefs don't usually have to do their own cleaning and washing up so they don't mind how much is left behind in the bowl. Wooden spoon = waste and messy washing up + risk of food poisoning.
Loved Eric Lanlard's wicked humour.
Eric lanlard it's back. At least in sorted. 😉😉
BELITEGA I
Never heard someone say "silicone spatula" so beautifully 😂
Barry needs a stovetop that automatically turns off XD
Anonymous Person JUST what I was thinking!
Barry needs a kick in the ass every time he leaves the hob on. Much cheaper.
Induction style def.aslong as he doesnt put any metal on it -_-
I have watched this multiple times - still one of the best SORTEDfood videos.
Loved loved LOVED this. I have not laughed like that in a while, and I really needed a laugh this morning. Please do more of these! You're onto something with this format. :D
"Le confidence Mike..le confidence"
When talking to Jamie, just say "no"
I love the bitter tone every time he says “silicone spoon”
This is one of the funniest videos you guys have done.
This is the best! The French chef is amazing-so sassy!
This is my all time favorite Sorted video
Chef Lanlard did not have to be that sassy and hilarious but he did it didn't he and bless him for it
That was some seriously incredible content!

This is my favorite video. I come here all the time
I am simultaneously feeling secondhand excitement from Mike's giddiness and secondhand embarrassment from Jamie's fails...
Jamie: "Chef Landlard..."
Eric: "No'
I love that every time Jamie asks a question, the answer is “No”
I love Eric Lanlard's work! I do hope my future husband has the same expression of joy & excitement when I walk down the aisle, as Mike when Eric said his going to teach them how to make eclairs. :-D
Good effort lads! Considering all the love that went into making them, I'd pay a premium for those eclairs
Love his French/English accent
Okay, this is so entertaining and so adorable. Oh god.
Oh poor Jamie! He's trying so hard impress with his food "knowledge" and just gets shut down. 😂
