It's amazing how the grand jury almost never indites a cop almost like the district attorney throws cases against cops to make sure there is never any accountability.
This is definitive proof the Grand jury is biased when it comes to law enforcement. Too bad they're so secretive, but you can't hide how many law enforcement officers have actually been indicted by a grand jury ... what ... none 😉 do an audit because that's impossible without corruption.
The worst part of this crime spree is the "criminal cases " that were dismissed due to "lack of evidence". Add "due to lack of the missing evidence" that no one had the integrity to talk about.

I feel like the police chief should be responsible for this in some way. How do you not have any checks and balances implemented to deter this before an audit? or a more regular audit? Someone should be responsible considering this is highly unusual for a police dept to have this much evidence theft.
I wonder if the thief was the one who insisted on NOT having video surveillance cameras within the property room? Or knew where the few cameras were located and how to work around those. Can't just rely on audits a year or more later to find thefts like that.
The worst part is that he was on *paid administrative leave for 11 months where he made $51,776.92* just hanging out. Only worked 1 month for a whole year but made more money than people working full time jobs along with second side gigs.

Given the serious nature of going to prison based on evidence I would think the Chief and the District Attorney's Office should be doing random audits on evidence rooms frequently, very frequently. That should be an outside auditor as well so no buddy system can exist.

As long as there is money in the world they will always always!!! Be corruption money runs so long that someone is held blackmailed amongst other things money has so many ways to corrupt a fellow human being . If we didn’t need $$ we wouldn’t be having this
When it comes to the police there needs to be an out of network prosecutor to put it bluntly not another funky telling them hey this guy just made a mistake somebody from another County
Yes, it would be a nice cushy job running the evidence room if you were honest, but I think most people start horsing around with stuff in there because they’re bored❤
I used to work for the City of Dallas for the building maintenance department. One of my buildings was the police headquarters downtown and several smaller police stations. ZZZ.
That’s how it’s done. Tgey don’t want a smear in their records. Da needs to be arrested too.
The Grand Jury should be made up of citizens not more law enforcement or maybe we need to form our own Jury. People's Superior Jury... 💪🏿🪖❤️💪🏿
Judges and DA's; just honorary members of the Blue Cartel.

Another fine example of American "law enforcement"
Criminals hiding in plain sight in the police force...
STOP 🛑 the CORRUPTION!!! WOWWWW
Grand jury chose not to indict why? Gotta wonder who the cops freinds picked for that jury?
how much hard evidence against him was there. we need to stop allowing law enforcmnent officials to resign until after the case is concluded.
Probably afraid their names will get out there and local law enforcement will make their lives miserable.

The fact that they audited gives my hope. how many departments have no audits?
The evidence cop and others need to be investigated thoughtfully and thoroughly!
Problem is that with all that thoughtfulness they figured out how the corrupt DA could convince a grand jury to not convict. Same old bs every time.
