- Almost finished anyway... We poured this pool as part of a training program in April and since then it and all my other backyard projects have been on hold because of our overwhelming pool schedule this summer... But the past few weeks I've been able to devote some of my weekends to finally finishing it up! We EcoFINISHed the pool last night and today I got the coping installed and filled the pool! Still have to get the equipment hooked up tomorrow but we are in the home stretch. Training is the 20th of October and we only have 4 more spots open, we'll be pouring an 80,000 gallon monopour! Kit details next week!

The way he said "penetrate the concrete". Then paused, and emphasized "deeply". 🤣
Great looking pool. Thanks for the trainiing.
You’re welcome!
You could install the aquastar 250 cart filter for similar pricing to the sand filter. And can handle more than 3 times the flo rate
Awesome
Thanks
Curious on total cost for a pool of this type of size and design?
Great looking pool!
Do you need to do anything to the GFRC pavers to make them slip resistant?
Aaron, we love this ICF Monopour pool with Ecofinish. I live in Prince George's County Maryland. Can you provide me with local pool builders of these pools who service my area.
Email support@icfguru.com and I’ll give you the contacts of my closest associates, if they can’t I may have a traveling crew from the Midwest depending on the scope
Loving your ICF pool videos. One thing I don't understand is the step just before this video. Does the ecofinish go directly on the foam of the ICF walls or do you remove the inner layer of ICF foam? Or do you have another video that goes into that part of the process?

He gets 1 sided forms. Just found it this morning lol. Remembered your comment and that I liked it because I always wondered the same thing
Thsn how does he get the crisp edges, corners, and straight walls? The form can't have been one-sided when he poured it. Something has to have formed the inner wall.
@lindajohnson4204 he put concrete board on the foam and mudded the joints /screw holes
@@lindajohnson4204
He forms the side without the foam, I'd assume like regular concrete
How long is EcoFinish supposed to last?
Would a straight up polyurea coat do the same thing all in one?
How do I register for the upcoming training?
How you sign up for training?
I need to watch more of your content. im confused as to how this is an ICF pool, while still having an exposed concrete surface on the interior of the pool.
We’ll, 3 brands of icf have one sided icf, the importance of icf in pools is first, positive placement of rebar as opposed to free tied and gauged thickness like Gunite, second and more importantly thermally broken from ground, which is its magic. The inner icf is far less important and not having it gives us the option of using any traditional plaster/pebble tec with the benefit of being cheaper to ecofinish than any other substrate
Very cool. thank you@@cuttingedgehomes9251
is the filtration system able to remove all the unbonded micro plastics that are suspended in the water?
There isn’t much but yes, microplaster is a live resin product so it’s not like plaster you may have used in the past
What is the ballpark cost of a pool like this? I know that's a loaded question but looking to do a pool about this size and don't know if its $5,000 or $500,000. thanks
It depends on market, usually we keep monopour icf pools on par with Gunite, this one in my market probably retails at 80k…. I probably have 30k and a lot of sweat in it!
@@cuttingedgehomes9251 Thank you for being so upfront with costs. I have just recently come across ICF while researching options for a suspended garage floor.
How long does this pool retain heat?
Lol good question, the thermal mass from the concrete floor raised the temp of the water out of the hydrant to 78 overnight…. Not sure but I’d say it came out of the hydrant at 74-75…. I’m going to get a cheap solar cover to heat it up as much as possible and limit evaporative cooling as the nights get longer…. Next year I’ll have the hydronic system up and running and also a solar set up with the easy touch optimizing it so I should be able to do some pretty cool vids about just how efficient these pools are!
@@cuttingedgehomes9251 ok. My family is watching you with big interest. I own a pv solar company but they have owned Florida . Solar and fun in the sun . Com for 4 decades. How had the taos project gone? I’m close to pulling the trigger on a place in colorado perhaps we can talk about you building the
shell?
@@mattbrew11 Hey I'm in Avon Park about an hour south of you.
Not to often you run into another solar contractor.
Sorry, but your audio is still clipping "hitting red" if you look at it in your editing softwate. You have valuable information, but your audio is hurting my ears.
This pool looks dangerous. The transition to deeper sections should be a slope and not a steep step. There will be lots of accidents in this pool.
Thanks👍🏻
Don't do this to your pool it costs more to get this crap off than it does to put it on
Still going strong on mine!
