I'm still holding out hope for a Great White North set. We already have a Bob & only need Jeff to adopt the name Doug. Get a ratty coffee table, pile it high with beer bottles and glazed doughnuts, and don some cheesy stocking caps. Take off, hoser. Eh?
Regarding the Saudi Big Air: I get why someone young that just is trying to make a living from skiing might agree to do it with a grudge. What i really don't get is outspoken skiers and skiers that cater an image that goes 180 degrees to the opposite. Specifically thinking of Henrik Harlaut and Tanner Hall on this case, those guys probably don't need to work anymore if they've done a minimum of futureproofing. Leaves a very bitter taste in my book for those guys...
One news from Norway. Norvegian Slalom racer Lucas Braathen won the SL Cup 22/23 season. And retrired himself from the Norvegian team in the age of 23. Next season he is skiing for Brasil. So we will get som samba in the world cup circus next year ;)
Jeff, last week or so you mentioned going to Mn for a baseball game. Dont know how long your here but if you want to do some mountain biking try getting up to Crosby, Mn, the Cuyuna trails. Otherwise in town there is Elm creek, which is in my back yard basically. Prob not as scenic as Vermont but Cuyuna is really nice.
We've skied it earlier this year and basically found that it's a mix between the outgoing Vertis and the Mirus Cor. Still has that short radius and a more directional shape with less metal--very fun skis!
@@SkiEssentials at 6’0 and 225lbs, would the octo not having metal be a hindrance for lower speed tight radius carving? Also is there minimal camber like the Mirus Cor? I really want a ski that is fun at low speeds for when I ski with my wife, like how Jeff described his experience with Mirus and his family outing last year? Thank you for the quick reply!
@@NibbleSnarph We did not feel that this lack of metal was a hindrance for low speed tight radius carving. High speed long radius carves are a different story.
Hi, I watched a lot of videos about the skis and I'm hesitating between the salomon qst 106 and atomic bent 100 or 110. Thank you for your answer and your videos are really very explicit
Thanks! The heft is the main difference here, as the QST has some more weight to go along with the resulting stability and power. The Bents feel more playful and smeary and don't hold an edge quite as well as the QST. If you're looking for some on-trail performance, I think the Salomon makes good sense. The Bent 110 is more of a dedicated powder ski.
Jeff, the reason Bob got more more 'likes' was because his skis were visible after each review whereas you were stepping in front of the ski after the review...Not Fair!!!!
I love that I’m able to watch my favorite ski content and get some golf talk as well. As soon as you started talking about the event, LIV popped right into my head. Ps… toss the sign on the wall

Call Geddy Lee to write the new theme music.
Wow.. I thought I had another month before I had to pay for Epic Local..
Spain has a very high tax on 2nd homes that are not rented out. The aim is to increase housing inventory, therefore making it more affordable.
Saudi = Sporting Bribery, and there are many enthusiastic participants
Everyone has a price
love to hear you guys, it's kind of relax to me , play YT and listen talk about the skis , thanks

yes, saw that news too! Great to get him back in the WC circuit - bringing some colour and personality!
Here in warm New Hampshire the snow is unskiable sloppy mashed potatoes, what little is left. Rain/snow mix forecasted Saturday night.
I believe the Saudis are attempting a mockery of the world by buying sports that they really have no interest in.
Just one mans opinion.

Thanks for the tips! Might not have time to ride but always nice to get the info!
My IKON app says 34/25 goes on sale Mar 18.
Thanks for pointing out that I was staring at the logo 😂
The month of March is awesome at Mammoth Mountain
Hey could you guys review the moment chipotle bananas?
They look phat. If we ever find ourselves colliding with bottomless snow and a Chipotle Banana, I'm certainly going to give it a whirl!
@@SkiEssentials pretty sure they are 122 in the 186 and 193 size. But honestly cant find a single review about them but they seem like nice pow skis

You may call it unfair, but I call it strategy!

Thanks for the feedback. The sign is a very polarizing prop.
“You better watch what you say” lol😂
Haven't seen any donations flow in yet!
