That’s why he kept doing it lol. He was a special forces veteran with 41 confirmed kills during his service, he knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s clearing out every single last member of Francis’ forces before he even gets to Francis, that way he doesn’t have to deal with an entire army all at once. And while he’s wiping out all his henchmen, he’s taking every opportunity to blurt out francis’ name to all of his henchmen, because he knows that’s the one thing “Ajax” hates more than anything; people knowing his name. Budget cuts, after all lol. Fox cut $8 Million USD from the budget literally days before production began. Maybe a week at most, they decided to chop $8 Million out of the budget, lowering the whole movie cost to a measly $58 Million. Some perspective. The same year, 2016, Avengers: Civil War released. It was made during the same time frame as Deadpool and released around the same time. It was made for $250 Million. Nearly 5 times the budget of Deadpool. The same year as well, 2016, Fox (the same studio that made Deadpool) released X-Men Apocalypse. That was made for $178 Million. Over 3 times the budget of Deadpool. There was also fierce negotiations and discussions about which X-men would be allowed to be shown in the movie, with at least a dozen choices being denied before they asked, “Okay, well what about Negasonic Teenage Warhead?” To which the Fox Studio execs replied, “Negasonic what?” Hence the joke, “Negasonic Teenage - what the shit?!?!? That’s the coolest name ever!!” And why he says “Funny I only ever see the 2 of you around here. It’s almost like the studio couldn’t afford another X-Man…..” And also why he forgets his ammo bag twice. The first was a joke, the second at the end was because the final battle sequence had to be shortened and reduced in size. There was supposed to be a huge battle where Deadpool uses every single weapon in his bag, while multiple X-Men fight multiple mutant villains. But that was one of the things that was chopped out when Fox cut the $8 Million right before production began.

That said, he launched the sword at the end of an aerial spin, so it was going fast enough to pierce material designed to resist pressure across the entire surface.

Someone already partially responded to this, but you were 100% correct. He kept saying Francis and not Ajax to the minions. It wasn't until he said "TELL ME WHERE YOUR FUCKING BOSS IS!" to the zamboni guy that he found "Agent Smith", then he said again "Where's your boss?" He basically killed 47 (48 & 49 were zamboni & Smith) people for nothing, but also effectively dismantled the entire operation because of it, which is the most Deadpool thing ever because of his psychosis after the mutation and basically being an ADHD puppy on coke.
The first time I ever saw Ryan Reynolds was on the t.v. sitcom "Two Guys, A Girl, And a Pizza Place" which later was just "Two Guys and A Girl". I knew right away he was amazing, because he was so good in that show. So I do not go back as far as Fifteen, but further back than Van Wilder. ;)

Yes, the set at the end is supposed to resemble a SHIELD hover-carrier. Sony owns the rights to the X-Men (and Spiderman) and Disney owns the rights to The Avengers so they couldn't reference the MCU directly at this time (Sony asking WAAAAAY too much money for the rights). After Deadpool 1 the relationship between Sony and Disney softened so we finally got direct crossovers

That is probably hardened plastic or something. Glass would have shattered when he threw the katana, but it didn't. With the shape of the pod it has to be something other then glass as glass can't withstand pressure changes that much. If it were an orb then glass would be possible, but a cylinder is too weak if it was glass. Actually you can hear it's not glass when Vanessa pounds on it from the inside. The sound is too blunt for glass.

Xavier read his mind once and it was enough to break Xavier's mind. The reason Venom is so obsessed with Peter Parker is that Peter wasn't the first person Venom bonded with. It was Wade and it drove Venom, an alien, crazy. While not initially immortal, his obsession with Death, a cosmic being, brought him into conflict with Thanos who is also infatuated with Death. Thanos cursed Deadpool with immortality to keep him away from Death.

Fox didn’t want to make this movie originally because of the violence but they paid for test reel to be made but shelved it until one of the three involved in making the test reel leaked it (Reynolds says it wasn’t him but we all know it was). Once the footage got out and people wanted it Fox greenlit the project with a crap budget which is why there’s a lot of jokes about the company not able to afford other X-Men. Reynolds paid for the writers to be on set during filming cause Fox wouldn’t pay for them to be on set for rewrites so Reynolds paid for it out of his own pocket cause you need the writers when things change. 29:30 the Ryan Reynolds joke is partly from the comics. There’s reference in the comics that Deadpool looks like Ryan Reynolds crossed with a Shar-Pei. 31:19 why would a club like that allow one of their girls to go out in an alley in the dark by herself. I’d would imagine a bouncer might walk out with them then when it’s ok go back inside. 32:45 it’s supposed to be that but at this point in time they couldn’t say it was cause this was Fox and not part of the MCU. 34:02 they made up her powers due to a deal made between Fox and Marvel Studios. With the shape of the pod it has to be something other then glass as glass can't withstand pressure changes that much. If it were an orb then glass would be possible, but a cylinder is too weak if it was glass. Actually you can hear it's not glass when Vanessa pounds on it from the inside. The sound is too blunt for glass.

Deadpool has a healing factor like Wolverine but his is due to his cancer working overtime. While not immune to psychics like Xavier his messed up biochemistry makes it uncomfortable at best for anyone trying to mess with his mind. He knows he's a comic character. Xavier read his mind once and it was enough to break Xavier's mind. The reason Venom is so obsessed with Peter Parker is that Peter wasn't the first person Venom bonded with. It was Wade and it drove Venom, an alien, crazy. While not initially immortal, his obsession with Death, a cosmic being, brought him into conflict with Thanos who is also infatuated with Death. Thanos cursed Deadpool with immortality to keep him away from Death.

Y’all missed really important credits, T. J. Miller played Iroc in Ready Player one….arguably tied with this as his best role, and the chick that Played Vanessa was the Evil Ori Goddess who was Born of one of the Hero’s in StarGate SG-1’s Later Seasons around the finale.
We sometimes leave off if one of us haven’t seen the film - and RP1 is on both of our to watch list.
It's set in New York. the Xavier School is in North Salem, NY. Also the mouth being sewn shut is an X-Men origins: Wolverine reference, the film where Ryan first portrayed Wade Wilson.

I thought I went back with Ryan Reynolds with 2 guys a girl and a pizza place. He was the funniest part of that show. They tried to make the guy who looks like David Shatraw from Titus ( Brilliant show BTW. My number 2 best show that ended way too soon behind Jack and Bobby. Chris Titus put the entire series on RUclips and the network hasn't noticed yet so check it out before they find out) the main guy but Ryan was clearly the star.

Except, you aren't. This movie was made when 20th Century Fox was still a completely separate studio, having nothing to do with Marvel's own movie production and their shared universe. You see, many, _many_ years ago, before Marvel ever started making their own movies, they sold off the movie licenses for their juiciest intellectual properties to a bunch of different studios: Among others, Sony got Spider-Man and his rogue's gallery, and Fox got the X-Men, the concept of "mutants", and all associated IP. This is why the MCU couldn't have Spider-Man or the X-Men in it for the longest time, and why Wanda and Pietro Maximoff got a new, non-mutant origin.
Now that Disney has bought up _everything in the world,_ they have retroactively re-shuffled this movie under the Marvel banner, but at the time it was made and released, it was a completely separate thing, set in the X-Men universe, and legally separate from the MCU - under threat of legal action!

The reference to sewing his mouth shut is indeed from _X-Men Origins: Wolverine,_ where Ryan Reynolds played a _different_ adaptation of the Deadpool character that was… not well liked by fans. About the only thing they got right about that attempt was to hire Ryan Reynolds, but there was only so much he could do with the material. It was so infamous that it got _two_ references in this movie: when Francis threatens to sew Wade's mouth shut, and when Colossus throws DP into a car, his voice-over goes "Shit just went sideways in the most colossal way." - cut to an action figure of the _Origins_ DP - "Okay, maybe not _the_ most…"
When you watch the second one (if you haven't already), here's a non-spoiling tip: By the time the opening credits roll, you are likely to be _very _*_upset._* Do not let that distract you from reading the credits; they will express what you are feeling - thus proving that the writers knew _exactly_ what they were doing to us!

If you look at the Deadpool names it has names like Bill Cosby and Charlie Sheen.
Fox didn’t want to make this movie originally because of the violence but they paid for test reel to be made but shelved it until one of the three involved in making the test reel leaked it (Reynolds says it wasn’t him but we all know it was). Once the footage got out and people wanted it Fox greenlit the project with a crap budget which is why there’s a lot of jokes about the company not able to afford other X-Men. Reynolds paid for the writers to be on set during filming cause Fox wouldn’t pay for them to be on set for rewrites so Reynolds paid for it out of his own pocket cause you need the writers when things change. 29:30 the Ryan Reynolds joke is partly from the comics. There’s reference in the comics that Deadpool looks like Ryan Reynolds crossed with a Shar-Pei. 31:19 why would a club like that allow one of their girls to go out in an alley in the dark by herself. I’d would imagine a bouncer might walk out with them then when it’s ok go back inside. 32:45 it’s supposed to be that but at this point in time they couldn’t say it was cause this was Fox and not part of the MCU. 34:02 they made up her powers due to a deal made between Fox and Marvel Studios. They gave her Cannonballs powers. 37:03 look at the i in Francis.
