Metropolis Part 2 was S tier. What is Trump talking about? No way the real Trump would say anything except praise for the amazing ragtime piano and if I'm wrong about Trump's opinion then whatever, but the ragtime piano was still good.

The Presidents seem to be unaware of the drama with the label surrounding A Change of Seasons. I remember reading that it got delayed and the label just absolutely refused to put it out as a main studio album and that's the only reason it got labelled as an EP. DT wanted to make it an album. The label was allegedly pressuring them to go in a more mainstream thrash metal direction at the time (totally not understanding what Dream Theater was all about) and it was a big mess. But I'm going from memory here so I may have a few details wrong.
ACOS was supposed to come out on Images and Words(alongside 'Dont Look Past Me') but it never made due to discouragement from their manager Derek Oliver
They ended up playing ACOS live in 1993 twice, in Bonn and in NYC. And when they eventually made it into an EP in 1995, they changed a lot of elements from the original(Like fixing the vocal melodies, removing Petrucci's Malmsteen style solo in Another World, etc.)
BTW, ACOS is pretty old when it comes to DT songs, it dates back to sometime around 1989. Here are some demos and those two live performances I was referring to:

Hot take: The Neal Morse Band is even better than classic Dream Theater and current Dream Theater is good. Not as good as they were in their glory days but still good. I like the Neal Morse Band, I like Dream Theater, I like Spock's Beard, I like everybody's stuff and I think the way things turned out with the lineups of these bands were ultimately for the best in the long run.
Guess I should listen to The Neal Morse Band then, love Spock's Beard and Dream Theater
@@forentertainment3259 I recommend "Similitude of a Dream" from 2016 if you like concept albums or their latest, "Innocence & Danger" if you just like prog songs. Both have Mike Portnoy's fingerprints all over them even though Neal Morse (founding member of and songwriter for Spock's Beard) is writing the songs.
My personal favorite is "Sola Scriptura" from 2007 but that one's more of a hardcore acquired taste. Might appeal more to Dream Theater fans though because of how it is a little more on the metal side.
Portnoy is also in Transatlantic. Check out The Whirlwind for sure.
Neal Morse Band's song "Thoughts Part 5" is a continuation of the "Thoughts" series that Neal wrote for Spock's Beard.

@@MrBenMcLean Sola Scriptura isn't really Neal Morse Band but is a solo project with playing from two of the same guys (Mike and Randy). Question Mark is the best of those solo albums. Similitude is really great though - I think the final track is about the most epic thing Morse has done, and that's saying something.
