Thanks for your excellent clear videos....followed this one for my 2007 X-Trail but instead of the fluid shown (was out of stock) used the Launch UK fluid (you show in another video) diluted to instructions and it has worked although produced a fair bit of suds!! Saved me a few pennies, cheers!
Hi. Love your vids. Best dpf cleaning ones on RUclips.. On this vid you directly poured in the cleaner and left it to do its magic. One question....could this damage the sensor that's on the dpf itself? Thanks and keep up the good work 👍
Great Video, nicely explained and shown. Do you recommend this as a preventative measure, say every few years… didn’t realise about the importance of the oil change.. what is can this cause if oil is not changed?
Hello any idea which obd2 scanners will do the regen on the x-trail t31 2.0 dci? I see the one you use is out of the price range of most non-mechanics. Thanks for the video really useful and informative.
Nice informative video...i am concerned though as you have missed out the most important step after a forced dpf regen an oil service must be done as the oil is contami ated with fuel as part of the regen process Hoping you completed this process for the t31 x trail in the vid and would be worth updating it somehow to explain that the oil and filter must be changed after the regen to prevent damage to the engine as per Nissan official guidance. Dont want anyone driving around with fuel in their oil ending up in major engine problems. Other than this nice vid 😊
Sorry these videos are only showing the DPF cleaning process. Oil change is always recommended but you'd be surprised how many people decline the oil change. I think most customers think adding an oil change is just trying to get extra cash from the job. Was told he'd call back tomorrow to arrange a service but like most he hasn't called back. It's also in the video description to change the Oil 👍🏻
Most people assume that, if a car is running fine, everything is hunky dory. And by "running fine" I mean it moves and doesn't spontaneously burst into flame.
Is that the only o2 sensor on car can you not go further down to prevent the back flow into turbo and cylinders or is that the only location .. does the dpf sensor pipe take you down to there also or further down ???
Great video, having a issue on the same nissan jeep fault code P2A00 o2 sensor, replaced sensor done rengen, fault codes reappear within 20 miles, do you reckon faulty dpf or catalyst?
Ive tried dpf regen multiple times now with 2 different products, even took out the filter and cleaned it manually. P1435 is still on, my obd says "75% slower" does that mean its 75% blocked still?
It does say DPF removal is required.. I mean I'd rather not take the bloody thing off I've an xtrail t32 2015 I wanna try this as I don't fancy taking it off. The only thing I'm worried about is how does it past the silencer back box all the waste liquid?
Hello. from Ireland .. great videos. I've searched for that vetech DPF cleaner .. and I don't think ita available here... any other brand equally as good.. could you suggest that I may get my hands on please
Love the videos, can you recommend anyone in Scotland who can diagnose/clean DPF issues ? My 68k CRV DPF light comes on every 3 weeks, even a few hours after a long drive, frustrating.
@@brityn6514 I got mine done by a terraclean guy. Someone I found on Facebook, came to the house and did it, cleared the issue. He said a lot of people have dodgy glow plugs and that's stops the car regenerating by itself and eventually it gets blocked. That's what he said caused mine.
ooook, i want to know how the x-trail your working on is on that driveway, that car used to belong to my brother in law after it was deemed a deathtrap by the MOT station due to the floor of the car having more holes than a seive and a rusted out suspention supports on both passenger and driver sides AND the rusted out engine mounts, the garage could not let him drive it out and wrote it off, the license plate in this video belongs to his old xtrail
I wouldn't know any of the history of the vehicle unfortunately but this vehicle didn't have any rust visible and neither is there anything mentioned in the MOT history? Perhaps a similar registration but not the same?
@@ORileysAutos I have 1.6hdi tried it through cat 1st worked for a few days but came back on 2nd time went through the dpf temp sensor and been great since.
It doesn't usually work because the computer adjusts the fuel etc and most vehicles need to be told afterwards it's been regenerated otherwise the fault still remains
did you have to perform any functions on the diag machine for the engine to rev, or did it do it itself. i know some cars, you have to go in to the functions section
I’m watching this in 2025 and have watched loads of your latest videos, you’ve refined your technique nowadays and are the Daddy of DPF cleaning.
Learning more here than I did in college
Nice to know it's helpful

Hi there.Very good video thx.one question....the dosage is the same in every vechicle or it depents from how many cc is the car? thaks in advance.
Same dosage but more can only be better

Does this procedure harm the engine when the car revs itself to 3000 for 40mins?
After doing this procedure how is the perfomance of the vehicle now???? No limp.mode at some speeds???
Perfect back to normal performance

is it better to have it hot or cold. where do u put it it in on a 2015 2.2
@@madman2666 it's best on a cold engine. Locate the dpf pressure sensor hose before the DPF and fill from there.
it will not do a regen can i just sit it at 3000 rpm to clear
