- Persistent DPF blockage after multiple repair attempts to fix the fault. I find a blocked diesel particulate filter and blocked upstream pressure sensor pipe that reads exhaust back pressure or pressure upstream of the Turbine
clean the parts to get live data working correctly and car is now working as it should

Experience beats fault codes any day of the week. Good job Jimmy!
The DPF King fixed it again!
💯The main dealers (Forget it) even alot of garages do not go into depth and it is terrible when you are not only paying but need the vehicle! I have seen few like Jimmy who manually troubleshoots by using his knowlege and skills before using a scan tool, he is old school a gentleman and scholar! 💯 Thank you for sharing Jimmy!
Indepth Knowledge and logical troubleshooting... thats why I love this channel... another great channel I love is "Diagnose Dan"... same reason... 👏😏
Thanks for the free education, Jimmy !
😎👍☘🍺
Great job, fixing that one.
I’m a retired mechanic, old school head scratcher, no scanners…..
Impossible to diagnose stuff these days without a £5k scanner..yikes.
Enjoy watching these jobs, nice to watch someone who really knows his stuff.👍👍
Great Repair, No Parts required! But some of your tools need Replacing!🤣🤣
3000 millibars is 42psi ! 😲
Lovin the vids , mate !!
Happy Paddys Day !
😎👍☘🍺
Thanks jimmy little token gesture to say thank you for your great videos. I couldn’t have done what I’ve done without those so thank you very much mate.
I will say this, trying to get a vaporiser out of a Ford custom 2015 is virtually impossible after five hours work and having to buy the extra long wrench and a lot of heat to remove it it finally came out, arms cut to shreds! All cleaned up and it’s now light now. DPF cleaned and back in the road…. Launch chemicals are excellent and also the cr129 evo scanner
Cheers mate
Excellent and very methodical fault finding also knowing how to read and understand the scanning tool is a must. Bravo 👍
It’s crazy a main dealer wouldn’t check that pipe been blocked , it’s one the first things to check , we Havnt got a vac gauge we just take the sensor out and put blow piece on the rubber hose and check it it’s blocked that way
just start it up [with sensor out] + floor it, no smoke - blocked
Have you considered getting a pop up gazebo for when it's pissing down? Also how much do you charge for something like this?
Most codes don't show under 50 miles.
Great job 👍
Nice one, the customer got a result at last 👏🏿 👍🏻
You. are an education Jimmy, thanks for posting
Great work and explanation again, Jimmy 👍🏼
That's the kind of service I want to do here in Ireland, get in a van and fix cars,But my English is not enough to work alone.
Nice work sir👍.
For Euro 6 diesel vehicles disconnect the Air Flow Sensor to prevent the low pressure EGR Valve operating during treatment
Happy St Patrick's day, Jimmy!!!!
recently bought a kia 1.7..was fuming because the car stinks bad from exhaust sometimes. and blasts smoke out when revved hard ,its had a dpf removal and ive been sold it ..absolutely raging but its a blessing in disguise i guess,...now im buzzing no |Dpf probs for me 😀
King fixed it again 💪👍
You already know!
Jimmy the biz !!
can you explain how calculated soot values are affected by cleaning fluid. If it is not estimated only by back pressure? and the car knows that the DPF is cold
Experience at work 😊😊😊
I've owned lots of diesels, including this one, without any dpf problems.
I suspect this is caused by too slow driving.
What do you think?
Great knowledge! How long do DPFs last is it 100k and then you need a new one?
Not got to the end yet .....but quite often the plastic intake pipe leaks/breaks on these...
Pretty sure you can get rebuild kits for those mityvacs
You should try get a cheap £10 bike pump and make something up for testing them pressure lines. The MityVac is a good tool, but defo costs too much for what it is.
Is it worth cleaning the dpf even if the vehicle is running ok but do a few miles
Do you get many kia 2.0 crdi engines
Is a forced regen any different to a regen while the car is in normal use. As in does if cause damage doing multiple forced regen
When you're driving, some of the external heat is being wicked away by 50-60mph wind but the heat is contained internally. A static forced regen doesn't give this wicking effect so you have much more expansion and contraction than would usually occur.
Is he ok , haven't seen any videos for a while.
Hi Jimmy ,please tell me if this issue is on the 20 reg Megane too , mine regens fine but after 5 miles after regen it sits at 10-12 mbar idle , and regenerates every 100-150 miles
And just before the regeneration , it sits at about 30 mbar idle , and about 350mbar at 3000rpm.
It's the adblue version
Another informative video, I thought them mityvac guns sucked not blew??
They have valve for
Pressure, turn valve again vacoom
Hi what is good stuff to clean turbo i have vanes stuck i think underboost
Check boost pipes first, may be split/leaking.
Just been through similar on an Insignia. No fault codes, but car in limp mode. With limited equipment, figured out the intake had 2 air leaks after the Maf, Map sensor covered in carbon, turbo pressure sensor failing.
Variable geometry turbo that uses vacuum to alter the geometry of the turbo so easy to mechanically test it's range of travel to see if the sensor was at fault
@@davidoff59 i have code check pipe all good vanes stuck i bought revive turbo clean i will try use that maybe will help
@@davidoff59 when i am doing 80mhp per hour just turn the the turbo of need reset
👍👍👍🆒
Merely previous mechanics that cannot think and look for themselves.
Сколько стоит такая услуга
?
main dealer nissan mechanic here, first thing you do is check is that pipe, chuck it away + put a new £20 one on, then you regen, change the contaminated engine oil, [which is a must if you want no early repeat fault]
so other dealers swerving the tricky jobs again ?, i will fix it, as i have pride in my work...
PS it's an Xtrail mate
That’s not a Qashqai, it’s a X-Trail
Thought as much
These 1.6dci engines are terrible for dpf faults
Great video as usual mate. I can't find upstream pressure pipe on my Renault megane. I have been to garage as well they spent 2 hours with no luck. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Baz meredith has a video about it, a month ago. Its to the top left of the engine, near the oil fill cap. Check glow plugs too.

Thanks for the reply mate, do you mean under the black cover which you need to remove to get to glow plugs? I will post the picture later on.
If you have any DPF blockage you have 2 real options. 1/ Remove the DPF and fit a straight pipe , 2/ If you prefer the "stealth" look, remove the DPF smash out the contents and fit the empty can back on. In either way you will no longer have any issues.
The best long term solutions. Hint- You can do the same with your CAT converter on your gas car.
I think you will have to get it re maped
