Did this yesterday and it's excellent, been making Indian curry's for years with base sauces ect, but this is a great fool proof curry for everyone especially beginners 👍
Glad you liked it, yes its an easy way, Best, Rik
god bless you. I`m not even religious, don`t know what else to say
Nice one Rik Imade a chicken one 3 days ago with par boiled chips then fried and rice and nan bread, it was cracking. I also made a curry quiche yesterday it is fab cheese and curry go great together, 2 onions 2 garlic 3 smoked bacon rashers all diced and cooked in ghee added 1 tbspoon of medium curry powder salt and pepper a good squirt of tomato sauce, a pot of cream and 3 beaten eggs 300gms of strong cheese its a curry lovers dream. I also do a curry corned beef pie. mad or what. lol.
Well done and thanks Rik for sharing a simple to follow recipe, and also showing the great benefits of using a slow cooker which always achieves good results for tenderness of the meat and overall flavour.
Sometimes I also put a cartouche of baking parchment on top to prevent it from drying out. Optional of course.
Keep up the great videos!
Thank you. Best, Rik
Love this so to speed up prep can use your onion base so only need to blend tin toms and good to go yea 👌
Thank you. Best, Rik
Look fabulous Rick. Thanks for sharing. I I will use lamb do I have to change anything?
No you should be fine. Best, Rik

It was a good pinch so about 2 tsp as you say..cheers and thanks. Best, Rik
Hi what temperature do i start off my clow cooker please. Your recipe is the very 1st thing I'm cooking in the Croc pot so don't want to mess it up.
Hi, Michelle, you cant mess it up so no worries - follow the steps in the vid and cook on low for 5 hours if the meat is not to your liking, cook a little longer. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef thankyou pal.
Hi again I've recently made a fire cider with loads of different fruits veg spices I used that in place of the apple cider vinegar give it a little more heat lol.
Hi Rik, can i use the same recipe to make a chicken madras but swap out the beef stock for chicken stock?
How long would i cook the chicken for in the slow cooker?
Many Thanks
Yes can you swap beef for chicken please
Hi Rick looks fantastic but you started with the measurements but when you got to the powders you stopped

Ground cumin and coriander amounts sound a lot, is it correct?
Error - thanks. Best, Rik
Hi Rik, could this be adapted to a pressure cooker?
Yes mate - if you know how to use your cooker you have no probs
Hi Rik, this madras looks fantastic only problem is I don't have a slow cooker. Could this recipe be done on a normal hob? If so have you any idea of the heat setting and how long for please. Keep the recipes coming they are great 👍.
All the best
Dave
Could i do this quickly in a pressure cooker?
Yes indeed! Thank you. Best. Rik
Could I use chicken stock and chicken instead of beef ????
Yes indeed! Thank you. Best, Rik
hi ric can i refridgerate this madras
Yes indeed and it freezes very well. Thank you. Best, Rik
Are you using 2 table spoons for all of the spices?
I think its the camera lens - they look large however not. Best, Rik
How many people will this recipe feed?
How much do you eat?
whats a cup??? why not mls?
Are you a scientific cook - I'm not! Best, Rik
no not at all just rough mls would have been easier. If you're measuring in cups (US)? why not give us Welsh fellas mls?@@BackyardChef
sorry i have to hold your hand mate - less than a naught blob of a nano second - type 1/4 cup to MLS into Google - hey presto! Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef C'mom no need to be sarcastic. is it a cup form a UK cup or a cup as a US measure. Yes your right its not a science. Most UK chefs do not use cups. Its US thing. I was only asking.
@LordJasonKing the difference not going to make much difference. dont stress it too much.
I think the curry your eating is from a takeaway. you should try the one you cooked......😒😒
Ha ha ha no takeaways here nearest one probably 7,000 miles away. Thanks. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef ok, I might need more practice ..thanks for the vid....😊😊
Since i have subscribed to your show i have put on 3 tonne and can you now start cooking macro ?
Ha ha ha - you are catching me up then! Thank you. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef i remember when i was in England in my youth having an Indian meal called " chicken a la king " do you think you could cook it for me ,your Yorkshire pudding was magical.
