I'm currently building a cab with no woodworking experience and with basic soldering knowledge. Saw an Alessandro cab a week ago (Mayer specs) and going off off that for my design. How far off are the JMod cabs compared to the ones that Alessandro builds for Mayer? I know the Alessandro's are open back with just a sheet of wood covering 1/4ths of the back (somewhat like a Hot rod deluxe IV. Great video again Ryan! Loved how the most influential people in the Mayer community got together for a jam!
Thanks man! Yeah man the meet-up was super cool and a lot of kindness being shared. The back of the Alessandro goes 1/2 way up the back. The two cabs are definitely different sonically. The Alessandro is nice and focused, with a tight bottom. The JMOD cab is bigger sounding and packs a punch. Which amp are you going to use? I love my Alessandro style cab I built (just like you're going to do!) Super light and balanced. Works well in a band setting. PRS can sometimes be too big for smaller situations in my opinion
@@TheToneGeek That's awesome! I'll be using the Ceriatone JM 50 with the cab I'm planning to build. Thought I'll try looking for some schematics/measurements online for the Alessandro cabs but can't seem to get hold of them! Sent Giballi a DM but naturally he ain't going to measure his cab for me😂 Hit you up on IG as well right about now! Thanks for helping immensely with what mods to get done for the Ceriatone amp, got a two rock JM sig in a Joyful Music head😂
I'm wondering where I can pick one of these up? They seem to be listed as discontinued by PRS but i know there in production by request...
Design wise it’s very similar to the early 60’s fender bandmaster/Bassman 2x12’s, albeit a taller box.

@@leandershah1617 nice dude!!! This should help you photos.app.goo.gl/ZiRadGzegGVHPgtM7
are they ever going to sell these cabs again?
I would reach out to Mojotone and/or guitar cabinets direct and ask for this PRS cab 😉
@@TheToneGeek thanks so much!
