To all: If you're using 7.0, you cannot use the extrude option from the Sheetmetal feature in the ribbons. You need to use the one in the pop-up menu when you select the surface. This was driving me nuts for an hour before I realized what was wrong. Hope it helps.
When creating the part model, should consider how it will need to be changed in the future. That is the whole point of parametric design. It’s not just the final design that matters but how it is created is critical to making it useful in product development. The holes in the top should have been part of the first feature since if they need to be moved apart then the top flange will also need to be wider. The holes and slots on the side should be in the side planer sketch so can update holes and outline at the same time. The corner hole and radius should be constrained as concentric in the sketch. Corner radii that are not critical can be separate features. Don’t need to put them all in the sketch. There must be a setting for notch all. It’s exasperating when a feature is made longer only to go past the length of the notch and have to go back and fix someone else’s inadequate design. This kind of forward thinking is what sets designers apart.
Thanks a lot sir I am new to creo and wasn't able to understand sheet metal in creo that much . Your video on sheet metals is clear and up to the point and it really helped me a lot . Will be waiting to watch all your content from now on .
sr i just want your help in sheet metal design after use planer command and after make 1st wall and i used extrude command and make a hole but no remove material command showing and solid and surface command also not showing what wrong with it ? kindly help me
Good videos, but try to mention exactly what features you're using when creating the part. True, I can backward the video a little to see what you did. But in many instances you just went "I will create this and that" without telling which feature you use to do so. Maybe they were explain in previous videos, but keep in mind is hard to find the one that explains all the steps among so many. I'm a Solidworks and Inventor user trying to learn Creo for my new job. Just a suggestion. Maybe I'm slow. But very helpful videos. Thanks.
🔺🔸Good explanation & easy to understanding sir but practice drawing immage downloading option in this video I will have very helpful sir. One and only request sir.🔸🔻
Thanks a lot, sir. Video is helpful for me. But stuck to create ExtrudeCut at the top pair holes of .75 dia. I can't make a hole by using extrude command. I'm using CREO Parametric 9 Student Version. Please help me.
around 15:27 you say "select this face"; [then you select it, followed by saying] "normal". and then the screen transitions to normal, (parallel to screen) view of that face. I used to do this command all the time in Solidworks. how is it done in creo? I couldnt tell by your mouse clicks... thank you in advance. Yours are the best creo tutorials I have come across thank you for putting them up.
Hi if i modify the fillet in triangle sketch its changing whole sketch dimensions. Fillet centre point is not moving while modifying fillets in triangle sketch Pls Help
You can create it using sweep in creo parametric. Another way is you can use sheet metal cylinder along with cut patterns to create it and to flatten it.
Sir, I am unable to solve the issue i.e. whenever I am using any phase to extrude or for flange then that face does not come in exact view. suppose I am using a top view to make hole extrude in the plate than end edges are also occurred there which technically not should be there. so please help me out.
Hi CADx! Great video. I am using Creo Parametric 2.0 and I'm unable to give my own dimensions (like you did at 16:43) in the sketch for some reason, I can't figure out why. The software automatically gives certain dimensions which I can neither delete nor modify. Can you please help?
When I am circle for hole in sheetmetal , after extrude cut it will show octagon shape.... Please help me sir, and also round is not smooth., there will be a some edges
For sheet metal part extrude cut is also ok for hole because these are not the threaded hole and during manufacturing punch will be used to cut the material.
Sir , I am using creo 5.0 , After using falnge command , shape ~Sketch option not available , previously I used it , is there any change we have to do sir , for editing sketch option

Excellent sorry I need assembly type of sheet metal part including detailing and GD&T
please help me
in Creo 10.0, you need to Use "Extrude Cut" Option if you want to remove material, since Extrude will not do it for you.
Yes from Creo parametric 7 you have a separate option for extrude cut.
@@CADxTraining Hello Sir, I sent you an email yesterday. I hope you will respond to it!

thank you so much
10:11 how did you know that the thickness is 0.25? Could you please tell me that
Sheet metal thickness is not mentioned in the drawings so i have considered it as 0.25.
Thank you. was very useful.
next lecture is comming soon sir
Great.. thanks you.
Sir, can you share the star templete & setting please
Really helpful ....Thx

How u added dwg on model tree side
Using video editing software
Robust modeling method wise ,should we create the holes first or should we create the bends first.
All add material features first. Then cut features. Then holes. Then draft features. Then chamfer and at last round.
thanks
Is it mandatory for one to consider factoring in laser kerf while designing for laser cutting parts

Within the graphics area there is a toolbar which is the sketch view. You can use that.

Yes, go with the mmks template.
I have searched for 4 months a cannot find this option or software for the window attached to the model tree, Would you please tell me how to find it?
This is not part of creo. I do this with video editor.

It's done by video editor. Not part of Creo parametric.

In Creo 7 you have a separate option which is extrude cut.

Woww
In extrude I select circle but after extruding it showing octagonal hole. Why? How should I correct this to circular hole
This is happening because of the part accuracy. Go to file then prepare then model properties and change the accuracy. Make it 0.0006

Are all the dimensions in mm?? Why they are so small in dimension?
These are in inches.
Hi I am using Creo Parametric 4.0
Here the problem is that when i create hole on this bracket after press ok it look like hexagon
Go to "File-prepare-model properties-accuracy" and increase the accuracy. Change the value to 0.0001 that's it.

You must get shape option inside flange or flat. If it is not available then it will be your software problem.
