I totally agree, this is a great unit. It delivers, it really is a no brainer, it costs less than a Mac and provides a complete DJ solution and is rock solid reliability - wise 👍👍
Nice followed review! I have had my SC4 for almost 2 weeks, being an "old" (radio and vinyl dj from the 80's) this unit opened up a new world of digital Dj possibilities that I love. Using streaming services like Beatport and also using this as a cntrl device with Serato works great! I even hooked up a pair of Pioneer DJ active speakers (app 200 USD) via the XLR ports... For small and home parties the room then really is rocking only using the built in plus 2 active 4" speakers! It is what it is, and I think is it really nice!!
If you want to save the waveforms, key and bpm from streaming services: just have a usb stick plugged in and it will store the database on it automatically. In the meantime, you can also sort and filter playlists accordingly with latest engine os version.
Love my sclive4. I do think it’s lighter because Denon had a mobile Dj in mind. It’s literally half the weight of an xdjxz making it extremely easy to move around and transport

Overall I like the design and what you get for the price. It's nearly half price of the P4 here in Europe, which makes it a no-brainer if you don't need to connect external turntables.
Indeed, just as with any controller. It is only not user replaceable within the warranty period, meaning, this controller was not designed with daily scratching or club (ab)use in mind.
I also like it, it is a good deal - I also love the light weight, making it more versatile - I'm just wondering if there exists a good lightweight protective case for it.

What else is good is the echo continues after turning fx off on that blue button (apart from serato fx where echo was cut off when fx was turned off). To quickly sum up: there are max 3 adjustments for controlling the effects. ! By the way ! every effect settings will stay the same for each fx individually (when you return to them). I've heared it was not like so with the Prime 4 (?) I guess it is really good, Denon listened to users wishes or they figured it out themselves, and fx is improved now. Considering there are lots of knobs on Prime 4, that many users won't be actually using too often, then this one here is a m i n i m a l i s t i c approach of that. I think thus SC Live 4 breaks its way to the future even more than Prime 4. It really is a beast of a 4-channel standalone unit.
I'm happy with my Denon Prime Go for now, due to its portability, but I consider getting this one and using Virtual DJ with stem separation with it to be more creative. But the jog wheels not changing color is scaring me. So easy to make mistakes I reckon.
It shows the deck number just like on my ddj sx, never had a problem with that. It is fine for occasional 4 deck use (ie keeping a vocal track on ). For a full club 4 track set it would anyhow be better to connect LC6000s instead of switching decks. That is a big advantage you get as owner of a Denon DJ product.
Hi. OK, in terms of connectivity and technology it is ahead of XDJ-rr. But I can't decide which one to buy. For me the built quality is kind of important. Honestly, does XDJ-rr feel better?
Any1 know if this Denon sc live 4 will get stem support? If not, is there any pc software I could buy to separate the vocals from a track? I used to love mixing an vocal over a nice instrumental and to be able to remove the vocal from a track , to mix over another, would be awesome. The stems and being able to plug in turntables to the prime 4 plus are only things I’m interested in and while I do think it’s worth paying double for prime 4 plus o et the sc live 4, I’m unsure if I should buy it or just buy the sc live 4 for now. If I love it, maybe buy the prime in a year or so. The live 4 with the speakers would suit me great for now. I’ll be able to plug in a usb and mix direct from that. The speakers are a plus because I can’t play loud music and as such, not worth buying expensive loud speakers if I can’t use them. You mentioned being unable to sort playlists when streaming. Can you sort playlists from a USB? I have not been able to get an answer about this anywhere! Also, can you make a playlist full screen in order to have more columns of information visable like notes?
Do you think the color rings is something they could change with a future update? That would be so smart. I hope someone from Denon sees this and has an aha moment.
I’ve recently got one of these , blown away tbh with its capabilities, although I can’t work out how to make it mark a track as played in the library ,do you have any idea please ?
@@instagromuk7090 yes , what you have to do is swipe left on the track and add it to playlist , then when you go to playlist and play the tracks from there they become marked as green to show you have already played them , it’s really quick to swipe the tracks and add but I would personally prefer it to just turn green to show me it’s played from my main source for example the folders with hard drive etc or usb . It seems they must be in the playlist first for this to work

Few questions: How do I remove a que start once set?(not the ques on the 8 button pad) When I do a auto loop, it loops it from where I press.. is there any way to get it to jump back to the beginning of the where the loop starts when I press the button? How is the sound quality on Studio Monitors over xlr output compare to other Pioneer or Denon gear?

No... can't change colors. Yes you can use your drive and it will analyze without using a computer.
