I own the rane 4 and I love it, yeah it’s a bit big but super light. Great for mash ups. When purchasing It was hard to decide which one to get from rane one and four but I am pleased with the four. It’s really fun to use and great for beginners as well. Not hard to use very simple to use because everything is there and no need to touch your computer for anything
the head phone jack sorry to hear that what i did was use a add one for my wireless head phones i plug that one par into the head phone jack its small and my head phones are ear buds and wireless no wires as long as your 25 feet around your gear its nice , they are the Technics EAH-A800K - Wireless Headphones with Noise Cancelling and Microphone high in price , i dont have the mic plugin for the ears they are nice and dont hurt your ears, as far as the small mixers along side your dj gear , tip all ways take 2 just in case 1 goes out
I appreciate you taking the time to go through and do a quick comparison on the Rane One vs the Four. I think you should’ve never purchased the Rane Four at all. The main selling point for the four is the Stems. It was later in your video you mentioned it. IMO the Rane Four is for house DJs who love Stem separation and for more advanced DJs who produce live remixes. Also Rane One was technically suppose to be a Numark controller, and I was in the corp board rooms when they switched it to Rane 🎤
If the best reason to buy the rane 4 is the stems dedicated buttons, one can midi map that feature on any pioneer or the rane 1 if they want to. I did that on my ddj 1000 srt
The platters on the rane one are definitely too loose... i replaced the slipmats with thicker slipmats. Took a few different tries to find the perfect match. Perfect tension now!
Good reviews on both units! Rumor has it that Rane is coming out with a Rane 4 type unit with spinning platters called the "Performer". Holding on to see if it happens to hit the market, if I should get the new Rane controller or the Pioneer FLX10.
Pioneer makes better products as for as quality and it dose appear to have stem separation. I’m not a big fan of the jog wheels on the rane. I still use my pioneer nexus controller and the jogs are the best I ever used, extremely responsive and just as close to spinning platters.
U can rock the stems on the fly also on the Rane One like u said there's a box to assign it to the slicer and it's go time the buttons are laid out the same as the four
yeah i just bought the Rane4 Too!!! Recently That Looseness on Decks Platters i am glad u spoke on that Too, Definitely Feels Great!!!, the Technics MK7’s it Has Something that Stops u From Spinning it all the way around😢, i hates that!!!!! The effects on Rane4 are Good too, 😊 i enjoys when u goes live on youtube,🔥🔥🔥u definitely JAMS!!!,
@13:24 coming from vinyl, and having to buy double records to have the instrumental so you can mix in the song clean... this is an amazing feature. plus think about the DJs making mixtapes... now you can create those instrumentals instantly. Does the Rane One have the stem ability? For the headphone section, you can buy a 45 adaptor which angles the headphone jack downward..but you would have to slide the rane controller closer to the edge on the Mic input, you can purchase a microphone preamp which will allow you to boost the gain to a more acceptable volume, instead of adding a mixer on the side. Thank you for the information. Very informative. Looking at getting the Rane One
nice video man ! but that rane 4 is str8 dope , i graduated it , it does so so much.. i just cant scratch with it too good , im from turntables i just gotta get use to it
We’ll get ready to get rid of the RANE 4 because they just leaked the new RANE performer wich is basically the rev 4 with spinning platters I can’t wait for this one!

no problem ‘ champ, do a video on that hercules motorized controller, they say this controller only compatible w/ SeratoLite & Duce??, i needs to see???🧐🤦🏽♂️🤓
I map my stems to pads I don't use (sampler) Easy as hell in VDJ. Beyond just acapella and instrumental, though, that allows you to strip instruments, kick, snare, bass...etc. That said, using the knobs to control stems makes a much better experience. Easiest on a 4 channel mixer, but doable on 2 channel if you bypass the eq.
@@VideoDjDre-Remix-VA No worries, my dude. Did nice work breaking them both down. I'm with you on the tension on the platters for the Rane One, but it's an easy adjustment.
@@VideoDjDre-Remix-VAwith the Rane one in pro x case and Rane four in SIMILAR pro x case, the Rane one is approximately 1lbs heavier than the Rane four. The pro x case for Rane four weighs 44 lbs and the Rane four weighs 18 lbs. 44+18= 62 lbs. The Rane one case is lighter compared to Rane four case but the Rane one weighs about 24 lbs and it’s therefore 6 lbs heavier than the Rane four.

Wait till the Rane Performance is released.
Best of both worlds, 4 channels, stems, on-board effects, and motorised platters !!

The good thing about owning both is that you could make your remixes at home on the four and used the one for play outs
Excellent advice

Yes the Rane 4 for me issues with platter I’m going back to pioneer my first and last Rane I’m a pioneer fan.
I use the Pioneer 2000 nexus when I do gigs. Reliable workhorse for years.
Its a torque switch on back of the One for the platters.
Thanks, haven’t used that switch in a while. Still kind of loose though.

Good info . I like the dedicated buttons cause its lets me move faster around this huge controller. Thanks for watching

Yeah true, but I constantly have to go back and forth with the hot que buttons and sometimes if your moving to fast you can slip up.

I feel the same way with the scratching. Now I hear they coming out with spinning platters. They would right after I bought mine.😆
You can change your platters tention you have to take the front plate off to do it

It's pronounced Se-rah-toe not Se-Ray-toe (Serato)
right!!!!
Get out of my head!!!!😂😂😂
Philly slang 😂
Toe-may-toe = tuh-mah-toe. (Tomato) 😎
At least it didn't sound like he used the word vinylz for vinyl.. lol.
I think I heard him say the word I came from the vinyl days

I play in the rane four but the cross fader doesnt work, how can i fix that?
Sounds like you may possibly have to return.
Is rane 4 make out of metal or mostly plastic? It’s lighter than rane one even though is bigger in size.
Metal
you coming from vinly and you worried about size? thats weird
When you start getting older, suddenly how much things weigh really matters. Lol😊
