I've owned the t7 for a couple of months now.done the inofader upgrade, this is a brilliant controller, just pop it in a bag for house party's....and a cheap thing to have ready to mess about with...saves lugging around turntables for sure...its a keeper!
Thanks for the video. I own a T7, modded it with the Innofader and vinyls from 12in Skinz. I don't DJ for a living, so this is fine. I use it with Virtual DJ. I'm happy with it. Love the stem buttons for creativity, and the loop knob for roll type adjustment. Cheers
Thanks 9 for given your props to the t7, i bought the t7 for two reason, spinning platters and lighter,i own the ns7 ll and my tank is heavy a beast for keeper, but i must say,my t7 is also a keeper.your reviews on the t7 i beleive to be the honest review.
Do you feel like it is as good for scratching as the NS7? I've been trying to find a good controller that feels like vinyl for scratching and came across the Hercules.
I am so glad I chosen the Rane One..I purchased it 1/22 and it still looks and preforms just like the first day I took it out the box...All metal which will last alot longer..And those belt driven platters will wear out and will also break especially when you do extreme mixing and scratching....The Rane One is also very easy maintenance..
I own a Rane One and have had both editions of the Rane 12’s. I ordered a T7 back in January and I couldn’t get rid of that thing quick enough. The T7 is a joke of a controller, might be perfect for a beginner DJ. What he’s not mentioning is the details of how both feel. The T7 is plastic and feels like a toy while the Rane One is built like a tank and damn near indestructible. The Rane One is heavy but it’s better than carrying 2 Rane 12’s and a mixer or 2 Technic 1200’s. It’s heavy but it’s a much better controller. A real DJ isn’t complaining about how heavy it is. The T7 doesn’t do backspins very well, the pads don’t feel good at all, it obviously doesn’t come with Serato DJ Pro unlocked. The mic sounds like crap but I use an external mixer anyway. There just isn’t a comparison between the 2. There’s a reason why it’s not the same price as the Rane. The faders are trash. I know you can upgrade but why put such crappy faders from the factory? The stems buttons are nice and that’s about it. The Rane beats the T7 in every category X’s 10. Might be good for bedroom DJ but if you gig a lot I’d go for the Rane One. It’s proven! And I’m not waiting for a belt to pop off in the future on the T7. I just order a Rev-5 for my second controller.
Right out of the box the platters are definitely stiff. It takes a few times playing on it to actually break it in but i agree that the Rane one is far superior in pretty much every way. Hence the higher price tag too
i bought the t7 cause its easier to carry around. I only use it if i have a gig where its not possible to put turntables. Had a few good nights with it already. Few things after a bit of using: + light weight + stem button + price - no normal backspins - bit plastic feeling - only serato dj / pro Thoughts for my future at the moment: I might should get a controller with vinyl wheels wich has already serato pro inside. cause i don’tlike to pay for serato pro to use it on my controller. i have serato pro on my pioneer ms7 and this should be usable with that gear too without paying. The backspins damn - are not so fresh. But alright i can live with that. As iam thinking about to get the original bag from hercules for the controller for 140 bucks iam unsure what i would take now. 700 plus 140 plus makes 840 and you can spend a bit more to get a rane or the pioneer option. Think about the carry around- if you need too its really nice with that one. Had 2 gigs in other countries and was easy to travel by train. the rane and pioneer i would say is more to bring to your car and from there to the club. What experience do you have? Excuse my english. Its not my born language. 🙌
Great vid Bro!!! I have the Rane One and I love it!!! It takes me back to the days when I first started out on the wheels of steel. My first set was belt driven and me and my partner always dreamed of working our way up to direct drive joints and ultimately to some 12's. Rane got it right man. I just wish the one I have was standalone sometimes but not a big deal. It's a tank and a workhorse for real!!!
Good question! The build quality on the T7 is better although they are both plastic. The Rev1 is lighter and a little more portable. The Rev1 is also USB powered if that is a plus for you. They both have effects paddles which is a plus. I like the dedicated stems buttons on the T7 the most. I hope that helps.
@@DjNinesworld I think I'm coming to the conclusion that the Hercules T7 is decent and I really like the layout BUT🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔after my research I'm starting to believe that the RANE ONE is the all around best, durable, high level and professional option for the long haul 💯💯💯💯💯what is your opinion on this matter 👍🏽
Why is it that Hercules controller's are always considered entry-level. That's BS. Just because more affordable doesn't mean it's entry-level. Like 90% of the features are the same. The T7 is not the first Hercules controller to have XLR, so I don't know why that surprises you. The average DJ will probably not use the majority of the features on either of them anyway. But thanks for the video though. It was very informative.
So you said that Hercules controllers are always considered entry-level right? I guess I’m not the only one that’s mentioned this then? Don’t get me wrong it’s a great controller but if you already have a Rane one or a Pioneer rev 7 and then you get the Hercules T7? You’ll know exactly what I’m saying. Cheers
@@DjNinesworld If you already have those controllers, WHY would you buy this one? lmao thats ass backwards and dont tell me its because you need a backup controller. You can buy a numark NSF4 for 100 dollars less same effects and dedciated STEMs control 550 or a NSF Platinum for 400 with paddle toggles for effects. Its just people are fanboying one brand or another and I PROMISE the vast majority of djs dont even use half the inputs the Rane one or Rev7 have or use majority of the build in effects on the rev7....
I just returned a rane one and ordered the Hercules inpulse t7 and too me the Hercules inpulse t7 is actually a rane one just in a different chassis 💯💯i actually like the tempo sliders better on the Hercules. You can get a mixer to make up the difference for the Hercules that the rane one has. The only other differences is the weight of the rane, the button that removes cusswords on the rane , the song search strip on the rane one , using 2 laptops and using turntables on the rane. Other than that most will dick ride the rane one
@DjNinesworld huge update 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😆😆I wanted something that stood out a little more than the rane one and Hercules 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽now I'm the proud owner of the RANE ONE PERFORMER 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽it all started with me hearing audio distortion and crackles in the audio while playing music and me getting paranoid and thinking it was the controllers because the same issue was occurring on the rane one, Hercules and now the performer 😒😒😒so now I'm convinced that the issue is my hp windows 11 i5 laptop and yes it has 16gb and 512ssd but I fee like more of the issue is maybe because it's a i5😳😳😳let me know your opinion.
The words and praise for the T7 don’t seem to match the “but the rane one blows it out of the water” rating. Seems like the t7 should be few hundred more based on the comparable feature set. I don’t own either but it didn’t see or hear any major missing functionality the t7 doesn’t have compared to the rane aside from minor, usable, user experience differences.
The intention of the T7 is not fight the One. It is obvious they play in different leagues. For the price I suppose both are good machines. Definitely, T7 points to begginers and low budget customers for domestic use and some small parties. The Rane for more professionals who perform in both public and at home.
I'd love to know why you think you couldn't compare them? You realize there's nothing closer to the Rane One than the T7... Price difference is really the only thing that's majorly different... Sure ones direct drive but the other compensates for the belts with lighter pads. 2 channels, spinning platters, 8 pads per deck, no built in effects (which is fine for entry level but not for 1500$), the T7 has stems controls
