Aww.. The distress on the poor patient’s face who initiated the panic alarm. So sad. Gasping for breathe is so scary.
I never took my Asthma seriously until it almost wiped me off the face of the earth. Guys if you have asthma please take your inhalers as prescribed and get checked regularly. Asthma is no joke!

I have asthma that has been quite hard to get under control in the past (I'm on a daily inhaler which also pumps long-acting reliever stuff into me all day, plus a blue inhaler which I need every so often) and I still get flare ups occasionally. I've had 3 attacks in the past couple of years, all fairly mild, but still really scary. Keeping up with your inhaler every day is so important!!
Intrested to know more about this panic alarm
There's a panic alarm in the clinic I go to here in New Zealand (it's a brand new clinic with, literally, all the bells and whistles). There's a silent alarm button under the front desk which is easy to knock with your knee, that will alert all treatment rooms in the case of an aggressive patient. I've been in a consult when it's been pushed accidentally, the doctors get a "ding ding ding" quiet enough not to be heard in the lobby and know they need to immediately stick their head out to check.
Large clinics may also have a loud alarm like this, which is like a code alarm in a hospital, and brings staff running for medical emergencies that could be an immediate threat to life. The people on the desk won't want to leave a seriously ill patient on their own to go running off down a corridor and get help, so help coming to them is ideal.
They're pretty brilliant, TBH. And can be used for cases where the patient is in distress, if an individual is having a mental crisis, and for a variety of other issues with various courses of action.
On the ‘full’ rather than partial episodes, they normally give you a video synopsis of an update of each patient or if not, you can usually find it in the comment section from someone who took the time to look it up. I wonder about that poor guy too as he was obviously struggling to breath. 🙏

Sounds like they need to add a steroid to your regime, or adjust it if you're already on one. My brother has to go through it too, and it's tough.
Doesn't sound well controlled. You shouldn't need to use your inhaler very often.

Idk what you guys are on about every doctor I've met have been so nice and sweet and this is coming from a hijabi in central London it's not about them being recorded. I don't think they would be rude either way
@@goblagomagloebagon3566 Then you are very fortunate. At my Local GP place I have met 2 doctors and they not nice. One was very short with me and did not listen to what I said and he did not seem interested in me.. just wanting to get me out the door asap... and he gave me the wrong antibiotics for my condition which cause me to get bad side effects and painful rash all over my body. The other one was smelly and in a bad mood and was quite scary. However, this is only 2 times in many years though... all the other ones were OK!

Maybe so but it’s only pressed in emergencies when the patient is in critical condition and needs to been seen urgently that’s why you saw a lot of doctors and nurses rush to him to make sure his condition wasn’t life threatening it’s sort of like a fire alarm you hear it and rush to the nearest fire exit well it’s the same with this only they rush to the patient

My son is on an inhaler called seretide. He was just like you. Can't tell you since when he was gasping for breath. It really works. Ask your GP.

I have asthma. I’ve had 3 asthma attacks 2 where I had to go into hospital and one where it wasn’t as severe. I take the blue one, purple one and an easy breathe one. Not gonna lie. I don’t always remember my purple inhaler but try my best
Haha I recently got prescribed for the purple one, I always forget them so you’re not alone but these absolutely inhalers save(d) my life
I got put on a pink inhaler. I used my most off the time. Be4 they put me on it I couldn’t get rid off my coughing. I was coughing four 8 to 9 months at times practically. Recovery 3 to 4 Months. Them it was starting over again. them started to develop Waze. I started to feel like it was never going to end. I was having bad night time coughing is well and experiencing some bad chest pains. I keep losing my Voice all the time is well. It was coming and going four year. It started to come back And getting worse 😢

Dad baited her out. It’s an Asian thing. Like I went with my mum, the gp checked my weight and Said I was 3 kilo over normal weight. She said he steals food and eats it in the night. I felt so embarrassed 😂😂😂😂😂
She didn't even listen to her lungs. Why not?

Need to control your asthma and take your preventers regularly. Use peak flow correctly and have a asthma nurse make sure you can use your inhalers correctly so it’s getting into your lungs.

I have this sciatic pain for 5 years from falling down the stairs fracturing my coxcyx but I dont understand why people are not going for scans instead are given cocodamol wich are very addictive painkillers and seems there very easily prescribed
Unfortunately it is very likely due to the fact of the NHS being under increasing fiscal strain with each passing year. Seeing as a large proportion of cases of radiculopathy (a pinched nerve) are self-resolving (as they're not all caused by disc herniations) the doctor gives the narcotic hoping it eases the pain whilst the issue heals/resolves itself. Should it not, that's when scans are implemented as the cocodamol is a much more cost-effective strategy than immediately ordering various types of imaging for every patient displaying similar symptoms to the man in this episode.
Also, worth mentioning is the fact that-unlike in the US and Canada-recurring 'scripts for these sorts of medications aren't often written in England.
Funny, though, isn't it? How our nations pinch budgetary pennies when it comes to social services but they always seem to have enough money for war. 😞

I have extensive training in the medical field & I love this series but I would strongly disagree on the second case as it is classic sciatica issues.
What else could the doctor have done?
The GP in that case stated verbatim, _"it sounds like a trapped nerve"_ .
A "trapped nerve" is often referred to clinically as lumbar radiculopathy, AKA ... sciatica. 🙄

I have asthma myself and there are some common symptoms a whistling sound when breathing (wheezing)

@@madihasdiary don’t know if you get this or not but I use to have the odd person that would be like don’t have an asthma attack around me.
I have asthma and have to use a brown and blue inhaler, and my main symptom is coughing - all the time! I also have the other symptoms such as shortness of breath, but these aren’t as prominent as the coughing!
