I have a Milwaukee M18 fuel circular saw that had failing electronics and the warranty process is a amazing and repaired the tool with no questions asked. May be crazy for some people to think that a DIYer like myself would buy commercial grade cordless brushless power tools that are meant to last for no less than 5 years of abuse and heavy use in construction sites, shops, and service calls, just imagine how long those tools will last under DIY use.

Black and Decker using the Makita bits and vice versa would of been a great way to compare the drills capability alone. Like the tool comparison though 👍🏻👍🏻

5:52 This test is wrecked. Makita 3ah battery vs B&D 1,5 ah battery.. 😂 come on.. 👎🏻

B&D doesn't even sell a 3ah battery lol highest I've seen is 2.5 so you already limited buying into that pos

This review is a bit stupid it's like comparing Mercedes with a Ford and to suggest that you can feel 2Nm of torque difference is crazy especially when their not really pushing the drill hard enough they should have tried to drive a 6 inch screw in timer and see how far they got.

It's a fun comparison, but no wonder Makita Stands out. Black and Decker is more for casual DIY stuff. To me it really depends on the type of work I want to do and what accessories I'm using. Usually I go for my Milwaukee to play safe, but last summer I built an entire shed using a 20V black and decker with some Kwb bits; two batteries and it worked a charm

I got the best of both worlds.
    Black & Decker - £50
    Makita - £139
Makita with MAKPAC case and fast charger - £75 used from the pawn shop (fine condition too, a 2022 model)
I might be poor, but i can still get good stuff 😎 ate a lot of ramen that week tho 😅

Black and Decker (Stanley) actually owns DeWalt among other brands. Many years ago they used to be among the best but today they are, well, crap that target folks who don't know any better.
I bought one for my 12yr old son to do 12yr old stuff, but it went in the trash.
Also, nobody cares about the included tool set. They are of disposable quality, and only there to boost the item count on the box.

I actually prefer it over the ryobi/Milwaukee pos brand.

Black and decker is made for DIYers, those that are using the drill a handful of times each year. It just about drills through breeze block, but it would never drill through red brick or concrete.

I’ve got the same drill and replace the battery with a 4ah battery and I’m able to drill through red brick and concrete. The battery it originally comes with doesn’t help much. The only thing I hate about this drill is that there’s no lock for the bits therefore sometimes they come loose. Its the biggest pain ever.

Yours must have been faulty as mine put 4 shelfs up in my garage through the red brick without breaking a sweat

I have both, I use the B&D for jobs where I have to drill and fix screws close to the ground (a common requirement in what I do) and don’t want to get dust and dirt in the Makita.

Poor comparison, comparing oranges and apples. Of course Makita is more expensive as it's heavy duty and look at those accessories. Plus, Makita's battery is 3 ah while B&D is 1.5. Need I say more?

He's not making a tv show for people who dont know what drills are. This is for people who have no idea, as proven when she stated this looks like a bigger battery. That tells the story of who this is aimed at 😂

If you're doing more than once per year flat pack assembly, the Makita also wins because of a much larger range of tools using its battery system. And not just Makita brand tools - there's loads of cheap and often reasonably decent clones for things like impact drivers, polishers, angle grinders, saws, etc if you only use them occasionally.

The Black & Decker is crap with its plastic chuck that keeps coming undone. I can confirm it does this because I had one and it went straight back. The Makita with its metal chuck has a positive locking action. I highly recommend Bosch green 18V tools for the DIYer.

Battery life depends on amp hours the higher number of amp hours on the battery is how long it will last dewalt is better than both
