That gold and green combination looks so so gorgeous 💚 Edit. That quote is pure magic 'Beauty's visitation affects us and invites us into its rhythm, it calls us to feel, think, and act beautifully in the world'🧜🏻♀️
Your background is giving me Slytherin common room vibes! 🐍 It’s interesting to learn about your personal aesthetic. It’s not just makeup and clothes but our decor, what music we listen to, where we travel, what comforts us. I related a lot to your rocker chic video, but I also love a cozy, hygge aesthetic. Even though I’m in Florida I’ll close the blinds, turn on rain sounds, and put on a fireplace video. It will be fun trying to pair the two styles together!
Look up Peter Gundry, he composes music similar to the description you gave.... he makes dark vampire music, as well as many other types with a similar vibe... so cool, and I’ve really enjoyed it. You look beautiful by the way! Love your new aesthetic look on your channel.
Omg YES!!! I’ve listened to other “first witch” and “dark vampire” playlists before but I’m always on the hunt for new playlists and artists!! Thanks for sending this my way! And thanks for the kind compliments 🙈💛
Love the concept of working all of your senses into your personal aesthetic! I also love etsy and thrift stores, I find it feels more personalized somehow.
OMG! I haven't even watched the video yet and I'm already leaving a like because you look so stunning! EDIT: Watched the video and LOVED IT! I love to get to know the person behind the project! You have excellent taste! Everything is so well thought out! Your look even goes with the background!
This was so fun to watch, beautiful lady - like hanging out with a friend, chatting about beautiful things 💕 I could almost smell the candle with that description! 😂 Thank you for sharing Xx
Thanks for tuning in! Ugh that candle smells so good! And one of these days I’m gonna have to actually live chat with another human being on here 🙈 It’s great, when my sister-in-law come over we spend hours talking about art and beauty and aesthetics while just lounging around and painting our nails lol Ugh, it’s so much fun
I'm the same way with velvet & brocade & anything "tapestry" lol. I also love faux suede or suede over hard leather in shoes, boots & jackets. I'm a 70s kid & that aesthetic will always be with me I think. I've bought several empty magnetic palettes from that Etsy seller. They are beautiful as well as functional. I make my own custom palettes from singles & use these exclusively. Highly recommend.
Oh how cool!!! I’m so glad that others have discovered her amazing pallets!! It honestly feels like a good enough quality that it will last a fairly long time.
This is great, the Dark Romanticism won me over! I agree completely about velvet, secondhand buys, Lisa Eldridge, Etsy... so many interesting ideas to follow up. PS I love your nail varnish.
I am so into romantics these days, although i always associate romantic with lighter colors, but this velvet on you and the whole dark romantic is overtaking me. Great video! Thank you!!
I looooooved this. In your previous video I was telling you that I'm in the process of zeroing in on my tastes and I've now just discovered thrifting (both selling and buying) as a way of facilitating that process. I was a bit desperate and delusional when I started two months ago so I made some no-sense buys but I'm loving how quickly I've matured. Just a little while ago I was crying about being busty and wanting to dress edgy and now I want all the romance (with a sharp twist because I'm a Leo sun, Scorpio rising TR after all). This channel has been such a warm safe space to learn and I'm so grateful I've fallen into it. Sending you so much love Elyssa x
Wow! This is so cool to hear that you’ve made a complete turnaround in such a short amount of time!!! Isn’t it amazing how quickly our perception can change for the good!
@@elyssa_aesthetic yes 😂 well it's not like embracing a totally new style. It's more like returning to what I liked before I felt self-conscious. I'm 23 now and when I started at university 6 years ago I felt so out of place because I seemed 'overdressed' for 17. I didn't like the (negative) attention and I changed my style drastically. And that's just about when I started wishing I was this tall flat chested model-esque creature who looked effortlessly chic in skinny jeans and oversized T-shirts. Now I'm tracing my steps back to when I was really only interested in buying and wearing clothes I absolutely love.
I couldn't agree more that your top is gorgeous! Beautifully soft and the colour is amazing against your skin and hair. Another burst of joy - thank you!
love the idea of a variety of items contributing to a mood; you've curated it so well. And I'm now in love with the "dark academia" playlists, thank you for sharing them
Absolutely beautiful Elyssa!! You're glowing!!✨Love the whole new decoring and is so enlightening to learn as well your approach in your personal journey with beauty and ambience!! 🤍
I would love to hear your thoughts on struggling to mostly commit to one aesthetic! I prefer dark academia and feel like it suits my personality, but I also live in the woods and sometimes want to throw on a flannel and go full lumberjack. Plus, I love bright neon colors especially at the gym. I feel like I have many sub-aesthetics with nothing in common!
I adore the vibe of this video! The colour palette is stunning. My favourite aesthetic at the moment is LOTR Elves 😋 I bought my first LE lipstick a little while ago... I have lots of reds, so I branched out and got Velvet Blush!
LOVE this aesthetic! I got really excited about this video bc I have a similar aesthetic (it's like, dark academia/romance but make it Indian) and man, did this video deliver! That lipstick looks amazing on you btw. ❤️
Oh! I LOVE the makeup case And that idea of having one to put individual eyeshadow pots in. Amazing idea. I'm going to do this. Also...subbed to olivialee 🦋
I just knew you looked good in richer shades! I also have an intense love of velvet, though I don't like the look of crushed velvet. At first I thought it was a bit odd to match music to your aesthetic, but upon further reflection it's not super kooky. Typically, the way we dress is a reflection of our mood and personality and, typically, the music we listen to is a reflection of our mood and personality. It makes sense that they would correlate. Lately, I've been listening to Tchaikovsky set "in front" of ocean sounds.
such a beautiful , well thought out video I love your style and relate to loving dark gothic romantic themes since my days as an english literature student.
I loved this! I love your top too it’s so beautiful! I am definitely going to check out the playlist I am always on the hunt for some beautiful music!!
That top is fabulous! I love anything velvet(preferably burnout or silk/rayon); and I love wearing that style of top. I shop exclusively on Poshmark, too. This video is so beautiful.

I enjoy the long form content, but definitely appreciate this type of content where we get to know you, and also receive more “real world” type of tips 🤗
I knew i've seen that oliviaalee thumbnail somewhere before. 😊 I've caught her playlists earlier this month and it's helped me through a really rought part of my life. I have a similar style aesthetic to a more romantic style, certainly coming from what a lot of people see as cottagecore from the spring and summer trends, but i usually skew towards darker, slightly more muted colours due to my skintone; they just work better for me. A lot of what sort of look i want is a good balance between masculine and feminine but have it match my soft gamine roundedness and stature -- it will have to be a mix between deep colours, rich textures, contrasting sleekness with feminine voluminous details, and touches of metals, leather and coloured stones for accents.
Dear Elyssa, Curating, Deconstructing, and finding the missing Aesthetic puzzle pieces all sound like Music to my ears :) Loved how you presented the Dark Romantic aesthetic in this video. Reminded me of a hidden Irish majestic castle, with lots of intrigue and magic :) Your taste is top notch. I totally related to the vanity looking a certain way. By the way, the girl who was told to stay away from the lover on a rainy day, would have totally worn the Velvet blouse you are rocking, on the day she ran away. Girl it's fabulous!! Lots of love 🤗
Yeah this velvet top is a whole vibe lol But yes, I love looking for the beauty in people, objects, environments, etc! And once you slow down and take the time to observe there’s so much to take in!
