Amazing that she was only 15 when she recorded this song.
No, she was 14 years old when she recorded this song, she was 15 years old when it was released.
@@linkfromhyrule5504 where did Sushi go ?? I noticed she’s not on anymore.
"Blow your socks off" voice....We live in an era when they can throw just about anybody in a studio and mix and dub their magic and create sound...Then, on occasion, you hear a voice that falls from the stars....
Rimes released her 1st album in 1996 at age 13 I believe she was 14 or 15 when she did this song. You should react to LeAnn Rimes Blue!
Yes, Blue is done in such a Patsy Cline style.
I was going to suggest Blue also
@@donaldhowe785 Blue was written and offered to Pasty Cline....and Leann Rimes can sound so much like Cline, that Bill Mack offered it to Leann
Ugh. LOVE Blue.
YES! I remember her singing “Blue” at 13 & it’s impossible to reconcile her voice with her age.
Doesnt seem too long ago when this was at the top of the charts. 23 years went by really fast.
i know right, im so old, i remember when this track was played everyday on the radio in the 90s
She was 14, when the song was released in May of 1997, she turned 15 on August 28, 1997. The song set several records on the Hot 100, most weeks in the top 40, 62 weeks I believe, most week in the top 10 (32). The song never reached #1, as the death of Princess Diana, and the the updated version of Candle in the Wind, in which the proceeds went to the Princess's charity fund. Kept the song from reaching the top spot. But it is the #4 song all time on the Hot 100 (all time list).
Lee Ann has an incredible voice. So talented.
"No Place That Far," by Sara Evans, ft. Vince Gill.
Chris Ledoux. 'This Cowboys Hat'. I won't stop asking haha Keep it up though, you're choices never disappoint!
Leann Rimes “Blue” is awesome
I love this song, this was recorded by Lee Ann and again by Trisha Yearwood for the movie ConAir, they went with Trisha because they felt a 15yr old couldn't feel this kind of emotion
Lee Ann got her first record deal at the age of 13, releasing the song that Pasty Cline was on her way to check out and possibly record called Blue
I also heard that they went with Trisha's version because this version was "too country"
@@kaydee63 that could be part of it to, but I know her age was a definite factor
@@WizardPandora Oh, it definitely was
@@kaydee63 they went with trisha's because she had a more mature voice and didn't tell leann. So Trisha's was released to the country stations and since Leann had already recorded it her team pushed hers to pop radio. this version would have been 'too pop' not that it mattered it was a smash hit for both of them.
Martina McBride Independence Day pretty plz
!!!!
I Loved Her First - Heartland
Amazing suggestion.
Yes this one
Great respect for LeAnn I remember seeing her on my way to Afghanistan. She put on a show in Germany for service members and went on even through she wasn’t feeling great. It was a great show I flew out the next day.
Holes in the floor of Heaven by Steve Wariner
I second this, a very good song. You will not be disappointed
You're going to make her cry.
She'll cry her eyes out!
I'm noticing you react strongly to good country songs, and some classic rock. Starting to think you may be an old soul. Glad you are expanding your horizons, keep up the great videos. Hugs Sushi.
She was 15? WOW! / I love your hair it’s beautiful.
Hair still not as good as Robert Plant's in the '70.. (that is a joke) ♠W.G.
@Julian Roane What R U talking about; what did I say?? U R correct I am in the 50's.. ♠W.G.
@Julian Roane Not sure where U R getting your information; that would be news to my Mother.. I graduated High School in the 60's, I am a Vietnam Veteran and live in North Carolina.. ♠W.G.
@@wgdavis5353 why do you put a spade and wg after all your comments? Seems exhausting. Unless you think it's a trademark of sorts. Guess your cool like that
@@Maradala I was wondering when someone was going to ask me about it.. I had a quick smart-ass answer for it, but in 1969 I was attached to the 229th. Helicopter Company in Vietnam; they had the Ace of Spades on the nose of all of their birds.. A Memorial to all of my Buddies from back in the day.. Thx. 4 asking.. ♠W.G.
I love this song. Also give a listen to LeeAnn Rimes- I need you.
Please do Vince gill. Go rest high on that mountain
Yes beautful yet bitter sweet. Vince gills voice gives me chills its so melodic😋
Those three in that video were simply amazing
One of the most emotional songs ever recorded, IMO. Played at my grandfathers funeral 12 years ago, still tear up every time.
She gonna cry lol
Please react to Reba - The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia
Yes
Back in 1996/'97 while living in Garland, Texas where LeAnn is from. I meant her. We lived in an apartment complex, and she along with her family was living in another apartment complex next to ours. This is back when she was just starting to become big.
I was working at an Albertsons grocery store, and they had a huge parking lot, for which they allowed her to park her tour bus in during the entire holiday season. One evening, she came through my checkout line. Well I wasn't really into her, but she did look familiar to me, I just couldn't place her. She and a small entourage came through. She was very friendly, smiling and such. Well after she left out of my line, I happened to see a country magazine with her photo on the front cover. That's when I realized who she was...
She may have been raised in TX but she is a Mississippi gal.
@@jdeang3531 ~ I'm aware of that. I was just speaking of my personal experience with her...
Mark wills- don’t laugh at me
Craig Morgan-tough
Please react to “I probably wouldn’t be this way” also by LeAnn Rimes & “Die from a Broken Heart” by Maddie and Tae! Love watching your reactions to songs that make you feel ❤️❤️
Yes. I love LeAnn Rimes
Crystal Scruggs ‘Probably wouldn’t be this way’ is my favorite of her songs.
She was said to be the next Patsy Cline and she did Patsy's "Blue" and " Crazy". My very first real crush we are almost the same age and let me tell you I told my friends that I would marry her!!!!
The baby by Blake Shelton
Yep definitely 👍👍👍👍
Sushi, I am dying for you to react to:
The Judds - Love Can Build a Bridge
The Judds were the biggest Country Duet in the 80’s. Mother/Daughter took over Country with their sound and magical songwriting. Mom, Naomi, brought a lot of drama though. Once a back-up singer for Elvis, she was never truthful to daughter Wynonna (who has a great solo career) about who her father is. Just saying, look at Wynonna and Elvis, then make up your own mind.
Love your channel. Keep up the great work.
You need to hear her a capella version of Amazing Grace. Absolutely the best version I have ever heard.
Need You Now by Lady Antebellum was a huge country song
+
Un-Break My Heart by Toni Braxton was played a lot on the radio back in the day. Toni was a huge star.
The Little Girl by John Michael Montgomery; I Let Her Lie by Daryle Singletary. Please react to these. You will not be disappointed. Love your channel
I was 14 when this was on the radio, they played the hell out of it. Also thanks to the movie Con Air soundtrack
You have to do The Father, the son, and the holy ghost by Craig Morgan. He lost his son not long ago and he wrote this song about him. Its a great song!!!!
Glad to see you back! And love your hair :-)
I love this song, and I love you Sushi! Your hair is so amazing! 🥰
She has a beautiful voice.
May I request a reaction to Craig Morgan, "This ain't nothing" I love your versatility Sushi!
I love her soooo much she has a warm heart sushi you are the cutest🖤
Her hair is gorgeous. 15 year old Leanne blew everyone away
Hey! this was my first video! I enjoyed your reaction! I love LeAnn.
Leann Rimes’ Nothing Better To Do is by far my favorite song by her. She also did an incredible cover of John Anderson’s Swinging. She took an odd, unenjoyable (to me, at least) country song and knocked it out of the park.
YOOOOO I LOVE THIS SONG I GREW UP ON IT TY FOR REMINDING ME ABOUT THIS😍😍😍😍😍
LeAnn Rimes country musics version of Whitney Houston. The singer most country fans consider to have the greatest voice in the world....
To hear what Leanne can really do with her voice react to her singing AMAZING GRACE which she sings acapella and react to the version that she sings Live.
If you want to cry your eyes out, then I highly recommend LeAnn singing a song called I probably wouldn’t be this way. The song has a slow reveal of some deep hurt. It’s subtly very powerful
She was 14 when she recorded this ......it's her second best song........"Blue" when she was 13 is her best song
When I was a little kid, back in the mid to late 90s, LeAnn Rimes was probably my favorite female artist
Idk
Something about her
I was always happy when she came on the tv.
The one I like the most is "Blue" written for Patsy Cline but she died before she recorded it, LeAnn did a perfect at singing it.
Its the theme soundtrack for the 1997 action film con air.
Starring: nicolas cage, john cusack, john malkovich...
Lord, this bring back so many memories
"I Need You" by LeAnn Rimes is an awesome song!!
Too Sushi you are amazing and very inspirational love you Too Sushi
I have the maxi-single with the dance mixes, and I love the whole CD. Nice reaction
LeAnn's "Probably wouldn't be this way" is a great song and impactful video....Also please consider Brandi Carslie "The Joke" it is such a powerful song affirming self worth. The live version at the Grammy's is my favorite.
FIRST!!! Looking Forward to This!!! ❤❤❤
Check out Diamond Rio, one more day. It really hits hard. Also Mike & the mechanics, the living years.
LeAnn Rimes- Can't Fight The Moonlight. You might recognize the song if you've seen the movie "Coyote Ugly". Great movie.
This song is featured in the movie "Coyote Ugly" where she makes a personal appearance!
This is the icing on the cake, that is Con-Air. The last song in the movie!
Beautiful, soulful, heartfelt song from a 14 yr old girl.
This sang this songs in her teens i was very impressed!.
long been a fan....LeAnn kills.... she never takes a false step
Brett Young - Like I Loved You. Highly Recommend!!!
She played in a hallmark Christmas movie last year or maybe longer but she sang this song at end cant remember the name but she killed it. It is so awesome Have it saved it on my dvr just so I can hear every so often
This song was recorded for the movie "Con Air" but the "powers that be" also asked Tricia Yearwood to do her version of it and between the two, they picked Tricia Yearwood's version and they both released the song simultaneous.
It was a great song because in the song she is talking about her husband whom went off to war in Desert Storm, then he went to prison for a barfight/assault charge.
You should give a listen, if not a reaction, to "Blue." When I first heard it I thought Patsy Cline had risen for an encore. Coincidence I'm just seeing this reaction on Good Friday? Anyway, another one, I believe is underrated is "I Need You."
Kenny Rogers live version of Lady is still the best you'll ever hear.
First and for most, Too Sushi you are Too Beautiful. Leann Rimes I think she was about 15 years old at the time
Home Free - "Mayday" "Man of constant sorrow" Butts Remix and Peter Hollens with bass TIM Foust "Misty Mountains Please
One of the best, if not the best voice in the business
I'd love for you to do Craig Morgan's The Father, My Son, And The Holy Ghost. The Opry version please.
She had that amazing voice as a teenager I remember hearing it for the first time when I was in high school and I don't like country that much but she blew my mind I was a fan
Good job girl!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩love that hair HOTTT🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great theme song from Con-Air. They didn't use her version for the movie, however, they used Trisha Yearwood's version. If you want another angelic voice, try "The Lord's Prayer", "Music of the Night" or "Nessun Dorma" by Jackie Evancho when she was just 11 years old, or her newest video "Burn" now at 19 from Hamilton.
The judds-love can build a bridge. Wynonna-no one else on earth. Leann Rimes-spitfire. Reba-the night the lights went out in georgia. Sugarland-stay
This song is from the movie CON-AIR So pretty
I know this song is about a relationship, but it came out when I had my daughter. I was so happy and loved her so much. I would sing this to her all the time.
If you haven't yet you need to listen to its been 15 years i miss you daddy, tribute to 911
Her voice has the same kind of quality Whitney Houston had. Angelic and then the pipes to flex her vocal power.
Craig Morgan’s the father, my son, and the Holy Ghost. About his 19 year old son that died in a tubing accident
She did a song that was meant for Patsy Cline called Blue. Patsy died before ever recording it. But yeah the song Blue from LeAnn. And u think she was 14 when she got signed for a deal.
She's such a great singer
This was from the movie Con Air. The version in the Movie was by Trisha Yearwood. The producers thought she had the maturity to understand the song as Leanne was only 15 when she recorded it. They were wrong and Leanne's version was a huge hit.
Like if she needs to react to “This ain’t Nothin’” by Craig Morgan
Classic Song ❤️❤️
It's impossible you haven't heard this classic
I love this song.
Title song for the movie Con-Air. but because she was only 15, they wanted an older singer. So they got Tricia Yearwood..
Making me think about Con Air!!!! If you don't know it's a Nick Cage action movie from the mid-to-late-90s Love you Sushi!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning beautiful singing voice 🎤😍
Love this song
My favorite song by Leanne Rimes is Ten Thousand Angels Cried its a powerful song.
Hey Sushi, the greatest love song ever is "The First time ever I saw your Face" preformed by Roberta Flak. Her unbelievably beautiful voice in combination with mesmerizing lyrics will crush your heart.
Yes, the 1972 version is the best
Try her song Blue, I think it was her first hit, either it was this song or Blue.
Tanya Tucker was 13 singing songs adult like Bleed Red Going Down, Delta Dawn and What's Your Name
This ain’t nothing by Craig Morgan
Such a tearjerker 😢
This is my first time hearing her do this song... she did it nice...
Just fucking loved it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰🔥🥰🔥🥰🤠🤠🤠👍👍👍🔥🔥🥰🥰🔥🥰
You have to react to her singing Blue. She was just 13 at the time and it's unreal how well she sang already.
This song was recorded for the movie "Up Close and Personal". The movie execs decided that LeAnn sounded too young and had Trisha Yearwood rerecord it and Yearwood's version was used in the movie, but LeAnn had the rights to her version and it was LeAnn's version that was first released on the radio.
There's actually 2 versions of this song. This song was in the movie CON AIR and was sung by Trisha Yearwood. At first they wanted LeAnn Rimes to sing the song for CON AIR, but then figured she was too young for the song(She was 14 years old when she recorded this song). So they got Trisha Yearwood to record this song for the movie CON AIR.
Please react to "Blue". I remember when I was 10 she had a concert on the Disney Channel and I couldn't comprehend how she could sing like that as a 14 year old.
Forgive me!! I have had a cold and under the weather! DadGum!! I knew you’d do great stuff and I’d miss it!! Glad you got to hear her she is good!! ❤️Tennessee
