Really excited that i have found your channel! I enjoy how you talk us through your process and decision making. I am a 3rd-year architecture student from Scotland and these videos are really going to help me. Looking forward to your new videos.
I really missed you my man and missed sktp and your tutorials , it was supporting me more than you imagine, and it’s helped me for all my projects to my Clients, thank you a lot, I had to turn to cinema 4d with octane render , for more development and for motion graphic as well, keep it up bro and I’m still watching you 💯💯
Oh I Miss you too man! Definitely understand when you have to switch software, really depends on your work. But hey you're still watching the videos and will always be a part of the community ^.^
I cannot stress the importance of detailed modelling + realistic materials. I think photoshop is subjective to your end result and client request. It's really the perfect balance between the 3. Awesome tips bro!
Yes definitely! If we don't have time to model in detail then we would need to make it up in Photoshop, either way works. Just need a balance like you said ^.^
i have no words for describe how important this youtube channel for me with every single information and tutorial inside it. cool, keep on work sir.. regards
Hello sir Minh, I have one question .. Every time I do production renderings, I always turn on the progressive rendering .. In this tips, u turned off the progressive to get ready for production rendering.. My question is, what is the difference if you turned off the progressive render for production rendering ? Will there be a difference in quality ? Like for example, will the finished raw render will become better looking if the progressive is turned off rather than turned on?
Here's the link to a video on how to create roof shingles! It's not done by me but it's really useful ^.^ ruclips.net/video/7QoACAonoec/видео.html Hope this helps!
Hi Minh, just curious about your HDRI+sunlight setup. Is the sunlight your speaking here is the default vray sunlight? What about your GI (Skylight) and Environment Background, are they both turn off? Thanks for your kind response. Hoping to learn more about it...
for the hdri + sun bit, what does affect specular do? isnt that the same as affect reflections? so if you turned affect reflections off, wouldnt you turn off affect specular as well? or am i understanding it wrongly?
Hey bro, I appreciate your tutorial. This will enhance my skills more in SketchUp. 3ds Max is still not my thing to do 3d and renders yet but I least you gave me enlightenment to work on Sketchup with your tutorials. Thanks
Great, another bunch of awesome tips, I have to bookmark it :D Those Laubwerk trees and the fact that V-Ray grass can automatically adjust to another group are really cool.
Thank's for your support and videos. Can please make video for detailed modeling techniques for realistic modeling and rendering. And thanks again. Big fan bro.
Really nice tutorial!! I’m trying to copy the vray fur ( grass) to a other group and its doesn’t work like you did.. is it the version I’m on? I’m working with 3.4 presently...
Make sure that you copy the correct component. Look at the entity window to see if you got the right one selected before copying. Then to paste it, go all the way inside the group or component and paste it there
Awesome vid man thanks! Would you be able to share your hdri and sun settings by any chance? Can't seem to figure out how to get the lighting to match yours. Thanks so much and keep up the good work! :0)
Hi! For the sunlight, I use the Override option instead of Filter, to get a clear/ white lighting. For HDRI, doesn't matter which one you choose, because I only used it for the background. Just make sure you adjust the settings like I showed in the video. Also change the exposure in the settings to get the right brightness. Remember to adjust sketchup shadows to get the lighting to how you want it
Hm I'm not sure if that's possible, maybe there's a way but I don't know how. I think the sharpness of the shadows depends on the specific HDRI. That's why I often combine HDRI and sunlight so I can use the HDRI for the background and use sunlight, which has way more customization. 😄I've heard that we can edit the HDRI in photoshop? Haven't tried that yet though
Thanks bro! You’re the MVP! Btw, do you render with both sunlight and dome light (hdri) at the same time to get that good reflection and good shadows effect?
keep up the good work as always Minh!!!!! The 10 people who disliked this video must be jealous of ur awesome tutorials!!!!! Jealousy people have salt in their head :P
My model was actually made in Revit and then transferred to Sketchup ^.^ but as for stairs, I think 1001 bit tools is pretty cool, or profile builder also works too i think😄
I actually have recorded that process for this model but it ended up being 8 hours of video 😂😂 not sure how I should upload it, split it in different parts and upload in normal speed or fast forward it a bit?
Sure! Then you can always use the playback option to slow it down whenever you want too 😄 It probably won't have any narration though or very little. Would that still be okay?
Im struggling thinking about shadow casting...some people said when u using hdri..u dont need sun because its give 2 lighting for ur model... but when i practice hdri only.. everything looks realistic except shadow casting..its not satisfy to me. I think ur way its better .what u think..sketchup inspiration?
Yeaup, I have that same problem too! That's the reason why I sometimes combine both sunlight and HDRI, although make sure to adjust the HDRI setting so that the lighting doesn't conflict each other. 😊 also pay attention to the direction of the HDRI too. Try to match it with the direction of the sunlight😄
I definitely agree too! Although most people don't know how to adjust HDRI or it may take a while to find the right one with good background and lighting. That's why I mentioned this simple method, in no mean is it the correct way of using lighting but it can help solve the issues most people have a little ^.^ thank you so much for the comment! Maybe I need to look into editing HDRI to change lighting, that sounds super helpful!
Hi! Quick question: I tried to use some HDRI map but when you test render, it always looked like it is zoomed in and so, it turns out to be quite pixelated. What should I do?
I think it depends on your HDRI, you can't adjust the way it wraps around your image. You probably can in the settings but that would mess up. So just find a better HDRI, there are several free websites for it. Like Hdrihaven, etc ^.^
it take times for two hours and more for rendering, i just try 800 x 600 resolution only, my spec pc is... mobo - msi b350 tomahawk arsenal gaming cpu - amd ryzen 5 1600 hard disk - seagate baracuda 1TB gpu - gtx asus strix 1050 ti 4gb OC gddr5 power suypply kcas - 500 watt ssd - kingston 120gb is it my spec pc ok for rendering?

I used components and solid tools to model😄

Any possible way to make a already semi decent 3d render for photo realism with one click?

Definitely. The modelling in detail part is a huge first step for amateurs like me, just watching it in silence is mesmerizing enough by itself.
Great! I'll try to put that together 😄
how to adjust the texture position with bump and displacement maps?
I think the bump and displacement maps will adjust with the diffuse texture by default
@@ArchitectureInspirations if i've adjust the position of texture by right clicking on texture then position. Is it will auto adjust?
Yeah if your bump map is added to your material then it should be adjusted when your diffuse map is adjusted
