    That jack stand system is sick

    Just did my driver and passenger side, super easy, it’s just two bolts. on the passenger side, there is a wire in the way of the bolt on the sub frame, I believe that’s the battery wires and just unclip the plastic clip and you’re good to go, the dealership wanted almost $1300. I did it myself for $150 with genuine parts from FCP Euro lol 👍🏻

    Great video brother! I did a front M3 control arm conversion on my E90 330i and my parts were the same as yours; TRW brand. I bought them off FCP Euro and the only difference was the scratched off BMW logo. After installing them, the car feels more planted and it improves the already lovely steering wheel feel that the E90 is famous for. They also added about 3 degrees of camber but that is barely noticeable to the eye. Keep up the good work!

    What jack stand is that?

    Hey brother, nice job! I just replaced mine with Delphi and Lemforder tie rods from FCP Euro, as well. I had it aligned and it turned out perfect but now I'm having a problem with the steering wheel not coming back to the center after a turn. I preloaded the suspension before torquing the bolts and I'm confused about what it could be. I hate fly by wire electric rack and pinion steering. If you or anyone else in the comments could advise, I greatly appreciate it in advance!!! Keep up the awesome videos.

    The OEM one is a hydraulic filled bushing which leaks and goes to crap pretty quick, I am slapping in some Meyle HD ones tomorrow. Thanks for the video!

      Did you end up replacing your control arms with Meyle hds? If so, do you like those full rubber bushings? Thank you

    Great Tutorial. Was your suspension making a noise? My car is making a little clunking noise and not sure what it could be.

      Its been making noise but I've concluded its from the coilovers. Do you have coilovers? or stock suspension

    trw is remanufactured parts

    I installed these TRW brand control arms last month and the car does not drive the way OEM part was. For some reason the car does not feel stable. Bolts are torqued loaded and in spec. Took to 2 shops and both verified that the bushing used on these remanufactured ones are softer than OEM. Ordered OEM BMW control arms and will install them as soon as they arrive.

    • @brazenwolf3235
      @brazenwolf3235 11 месяцев назад

      Mine feels the exact same! Noticeable vibration above 60mph and feels unstable. I was thinking to take them off & reinstall without lifting the discs to ride height but could end up making it worst. Have you sorted it?

      @ryanbarrozo5223 11 месяцев назад

      @@brazenwolf3235 installed GENUINE control arms from BMW and as soon as I drove off it felt different. More responsive and does not feel unstable. I will never use remanufactured parts again specially on suspension parts.

    • @brazenwolf3235
      @brazenwolf3235 9 месяцев назад

      I can confirm what you said. I just replaced the TRW with Genuine BMW, massive difference, shaking & vibration gone, feels a lot more stable. And I found out that M Lites (40i 35i) have parts that look identical to standard M Sport models but have difference like in this case, so I'll be more careful from now on, not going for the CHEAP option anymore. Just ordered the Lower Control Arms (straight looking ones).

      I'm pretty sure the OEM for tension strut is Lemförder not TRW (although TRW also make pretty good replacement parts)

    • @simonhaycocks
      @simonhaycocks 8 месяцев назад

      @@yassi8080I thought that and have ordered lemforders for my f13. Interesting to see the apparently originals he removed were TRW though.
      Still, can’t got wrong with lemforder. 😅
