Actually spongebob being a god is unquestionably canon. This is not even a joke. The roman god of the sea, neptune, crowned him roman god of fry cooks, and offered a spot in atlantis for him as his personal cook. Spongebob refused obviously, but neptune never _revoked_ the godship, nor did spongebob ever hand it over or give it up himself. This makes him, by definition, a roman god in status, and probably in strength since i imagine being a god grants you extra powers. He doesn't need it, but it's there.
My favorite SpongeBob songs are Gary Come Home, I'm a Gooby Goober, and Ocean Man.
It's weird because people have been wanting spongebob in deathbattle for a while and aquaman was more wanted in the community next to gumball vs spongebob another one that's also recommended

Spongebob vs Super Friends Aquaman is a 9.5/10 for me. Half a point off because they said Spongebob beats comic book Aquaman. Comic book Aquaman has consistently tagged and kept up with Wally West who has no quantifiable speed. Can control Cthulhu who is a high outerversal entity. Has survived Erasure. Swam in the Sea of Time which is at least a Hyperversal level feat. Consistently scales to characters who also have Hyperversal to Outerversal feats. I could keep going honestly. That absolute downplay on comics Aquaman was horrendous. Comics Aquaman no diffs Spongebob.
