When he pulled the golden spatula from the grease and beat King Neptune in a cooking contest, King Neptune turned Spongebob into a God so that he could be his personal fry cook in Atlantis. However, Spongebob didn't go and instead, showed King Neptune how to cook. As King Neptune never reverted Spongebob back to being a mortal, Spongebob is still a God and has his Godly powers. He either forgot about them, uses them without thinking, or just never uses it to their full potential.

Honestly it's impossible to beat characters who have the Toon Force ability. Since these two missed the Halloween death battle, I think it would be easier if somebody just told the whole one.
When this Death Battle came out I researched what other matchups SpongeBob had maybe funny ones but a serious Death Battle of SpongeBob that I see many people make posts of or community debates about is SpongeBob vs Popeye due to their extreme and overall unbeatable feats. 90 % of people say Popeye wins due to his feats.
