When SpongeBob was stuck in rock bottom made me stop watching the rock bottom episode altogether because SpongeBob was depressed

Patrick making SpongeBob’s bad conditions even worse are just terrible moments. Worsening his suds, lodging his splinter further down his thumb and infecting it with garbage, and gluing him into the wringer. Stupid! 🙄
Meeting Patrick's Parents and pretending to be dumb. Almost an example of never getting into an argument with stupid people.
Only for Patrick realized they are not his parents because his real parents are in front of Squidward's house to ask "Where's Patrick?" many time.
Speaking of Patrick's parents, why the hell they change how his Parents look like in his own show?
Being sold by Mr. Krabs for 62 cents gotta be the worst. Like who does that?

Is because SpongeBob made the most of his time with The Dutchman by talking about Jellyfishing and Mermaid Man
Whereas in Gone, he struggled hard to have fun being completely alone and by himself in Bikini Bottom
And you know, finding out that there’s a day where people take a day off from you is pretty messed up..
A ultra-greedy person like Mr. Krabs would do that in a heartbeat
I think Mr. Krabs needs to think about it more than once because I think he didn't know Spongebob was sold, but he literally did it anyway!
When I was a kid watching SpongeBob, him getting yelled at made me feel bad. But when Squidward had his back, that was awesome to see. I still remember all these episodes, I was a big fan.
I loved how Squidward handled the ungrateful customer. It's kinda sweet to see that he actually does have at least a small soft spot in his pessimistic heart for the little square sponge.
Still get the feeling he shoved the whole thing, box included, down his throat.

It’s very small, though. That piece of his heart is smaller than Plankton himself, I think.
Looking back as an adult, I swear the 'Hooky' Episode is just an allegory for drug addictions in a kid-friendly wrapper. Think of it: The fishing hooks are equivalent to drugs, and Mr. Krabs warns SPongebob and Patrick that they're bad and should be avoided. Patrick sees no harm in using them and presses Spongebob into using drugs (peer-pressure). Spongebob gets 'hooked', forcing Mr. Krabs and Squidward to form an intervention meeting (Spongebob's embarassment), while Patrick ends up suffering dire consequences (Gets stuck in a can of tuna).

I was so mad in that episode. Because, like SpongeBob didn't do anything wrong. He had every right to be mad at Patrick.
Yet the guys (the bikinibottomites) like torture. THEY LIKE SPONGEBOB GETTING HURT! THEY HATE HIM! SB HAD EVERY RIGHT TO GET MAD AT PATRICK, AND WHAT DO THE FISH DO?! Whenever people think of unbelievably kind and charismatic fictional characters where it’s shocking to see them angry, most people think of Arnold, Phineas, and SponegBob as primary examples. In SpongeBob’s case, it’s honestly very interesting to wonder how much anger he bottles up inside as he goes about his adult life with the optimistic mindset of a child, a statement I referenced from Nerdstalgic’s video on SpongeBob’s worldwide influence. Working as a fry cook for less than minimum wage (despite being in one of the best eating establishments in Bikini Bottom), constantly failing his driving test no matter how many times he studies, and probably the ones that piss me off the most is how everyone in the Krusty Krab mocked him on two certain occasions: (A) encouraging Squidward to expose SpongeBob’s diary secrets and (B) everyone in the Krusty Krab mocking him for his Grandma’s kisses, which is just flat out wrong. It’s kinda sad how hard SpongeBob tries to go through life as most people do when life gets choppy.
You'd think after getting fired from the Krusty Krab, Plankton would've hopped out to offer him a job at the Chum Bucket. Teaching Mr. Krabs a little lesson in karma being a pain in the butt. Also, if SpongeBob wasn't so blunt, he could've gone into business for himself and made homemade snailfood like he did for Gary.
What makes scaring SpongeBob straight in Hooks even more unjustified
Is that SpongeBob was genuinely trying his hardest to follow Mr. Krabs’ warnings and just head to work
He even said no to Patrick who willingly went to play with the hooks anyways
SpongeBob literally only gave into the temptation after being tempted by the hook Squidward used
They are sea creatures, being tempted by hooks is in their dna, it’s beyond their control

it was. practically everyone in Bikini Bottom knew better. in fact, the only time you see adults latching onto hooks was a form of suicide. Spongebob had been told again and again, but Patrick's bad influence made him stupid. he got what he deserved
Sometimes humiliation is the best weapon to teach u a lesson. If u don't want to be humiliated, then in the future listen and actually obey the warning. Sure the humiliation is a lot mean but it's safe to say that SpongeBob won't ever touch hooks again

Like in drake and josh when drake was ordered to not go to the rock shot concert, he did anyways bc his friends taunt him with "Grammy little boy" taunt. Not only is giving to their peer pressure is wrong, he also got arrested bc one of his friends photocopied the concert tickets

What do you think Spongebob Squarepants would be like if he did stuff like quitting the Krusty Krabs, ending his friendship with Patrick and Squidward, got his boating license from someone other than Mrs Puff, gave Plankton the formula for Krabby Patty and so on?
Probably will be the same case of Squidward moving out to the environment which looked like him and at first he enjoys it but then he gets bored. But knowing Spongebob, he's gonna create trouble first onlh for him to go back to Bikini Bottom. Last time he almost moved out happened when his house got destroyed and he had to live with his parents but it miraculously go back when he put the pineapple seed on the ground and his tears make the seed grow back faster. I don't know I haven't watched Spongebob for a long time since I'm not following the modern Spongebob very much.
The shrunken Bikini Bottom people attacking SpongeBobs insides is unbearable. Although he did shrink them, attacking him brutally like that is just awful!

Spongebob in the episode Rock Bottom is one of the few times he genuinely gets pissed off. The other episode, Can You Spare a Dime, I still wondered how he didn't get fired for grabbing Krabs by the throat and nearly strangling him. Squidward being a lazy bottomfeeder was what drove him over the edge.
The worst things often happen to the best people, and SpongeBob is no exception!

For something not on this list, I say SpongeBob having bad breath and being convinced by Patrick that he’s ugly. Especially when Patrick only adds fuel to the fire by telling SpongeBob a very short story we all know called “The Ugly Barnacle”.
I will admit, while it might not help that Patrick eventually pays the price of feeling SpongeBob’s pain suffered that day when they decide to go to a movie at the Reef Cinema, at least I guess both SpongeBob and Patrick do kinda feel better about themselves, eventually realizing they’re not actually ugly. They just had bad breath, thanks to SpongeBob’s “sundae” made of ketchup, onions, and his peanut plants. 😂
What I think it’s the worst thing to ever happened to poor SpongeBob is that he never gets promoted as a manager for The Krusty Krab 2. As an adult I am who had jobs before, this was not fair, he has 374 consecutive Employee of the Month awards. Mr. Krabs said that the reason why he doesn’t get the job is because he’s not mature. SpongeBob in the early episodes was mature enough daily. Outside of acting young in heart, he was competitive & he was smart.
Not even the world’s friendliest (or annoyingly friendly) deserves the torture

Regarding Number 9, I think that bus driver unfairly put an APB out to other drivers telling them not to pick up SpongeBob, which is probably why the busses kept taking off when he got close. Motive being a personal vendetta due to the pummeling he took from that balloon.

Him getting caught in the wringer is arguably the worst thing in my opinion. Patrick made everything worse for him in that episode and everyone blames Spongebob as the problem after his outburst? They saw him in pain and thought he was a heartless monster? What a painful experience and what a terrible episode in the entire show

i think after Spongebob disturbed the bus driver too many times, he told all the drivers not to let him on. how many times do we see Spongebob take the bus throughout the series after this episode? very rarely
Season 13 is my favorite season of SpongeBob since season 10 constantly good and enjoyable and entertaining again.
SpongeBob deserves not better friends, but a better town. No one ever has his back when things get tough for him, and yet he still always helps them out. Sandy is kind of the only true friend he has because she rarely ever uses him. Squidward has done so messed up things to him, Krabs is just god awful to him, and patrick...END THE FRIENDSHIP! #JusticeForSpongeBob

I felt so sorry and sad for SpongeBob SquarePants for what he's going throughout the year in his own television show.

We’re left with two lackluster morals - standing up for yourself is wrong, and crying solves everything… too bad crying couldn’t make this episode disappear.
Despite the condition SpongeBob was in, the unconfident townspeople shamed him for standing up to Patrick, especially since it was his fault to begin with.

I feel like all of SpongeBob’s lost episode should’ve been on the list. He tries unsuccessfully to fly four times, the towns folk laugh at him and ridicule him for having a dream, and gets chased off a cliff and gets tarred and feathered. Then when he finally dies fly, he helps out the residents willingly at first, then ends up doing way too many favours when they didn’t deserve his kindness. When he finally gets close to flying with the jellyfish, he gets shot down by a cannonball, and the townsfolk only show remorse for destroying his flying pants and not almost killing SpongeBob. It’s only the jellyfish who show SpongeBob any sort of compassion at the end.
Squidward is such a big jerk for reading SpongeBob's diary. And everybody is laughing. And Patrick got involved with this.
And Squidward and the Krusty krab customers were a bunch of hypocrites on grandma’s kisses for laughing and teasing at SpongeBob cause they saw his grandma’s kissing mark on his forehead
