Affinity photo is clearly missing in this video since it can erase background automatically by detecting edges or by selecting object ! Great video nevertheless but you clearly have more stable hands than the normal person to do manual erasing like that. And Monica didn’t have fluffy hair in this picture hopefully 😉
You helped me figure out what I wanted to do, but it wasn't exactly how I wanted to do it. Here's a question. In Pixelmator, is there a way to make a selection and then delete the selection. I've banged my head against the desk trying to figure this out. Essentially I want to remove the background the way you did. But I want to use the quick select tool to select the area first and then kill it with one click instead of painting over it. Thank you in advance if you're able to help with this.

Eric Vice Hey! After you select an area, swipe open layers on the left and tap on the layer to bring up the pop up menu. Then select “cut.”
