So I’m a traditional artist and I’m just getting into digital art media. I’ve been drawing old school FOR YEARS! I just can’t keep up with the digital stuff no more and I’ve made the move to start. This was some of the most informative and easy introduction to procreate I’ve seen. I Just want to thank you and I hope to learn more as I expand my art abilities and knowledge.
This is one of the best beginner tutorials I've seen so far. It covered everything important quickly and efficiently. I find that a lot of "beginner" tutorials tend to venture into covering more advanced stuff, or covering a single feature longer than needed, or sometimes, you'll come across someone saying "I haven't figured out this feature yet, but you can play around with it yourself" (this baffles me the most lol). Anyway, thank you so much for making this video.
I am terrible with technology and my wife got us an iPad and this Procreate program. Very overwhelming for me. This video was incredibly helpful! Thankyou! I actually took notes.
This was the first video I clicked on and I expected that I’d have to watch 10 more before I felt ready to use Procreate, but now I feel like I’m set to start :D Thanks!
I got procreate yesterday and had no idea what I was doing/how to do anything. I tried watching all these tutorials but none of them helped and I just got even more confused-This really helped me understand how it worked a lot. Thank you for making this!
That was the most informative vid on procreate I’ve seen to date. I checked out so many and most of them are so confusing they left me overwhelmed. This made procreate seem like such fun! Great job on explaining everything!
@@luma_llama thank you for your tutorial! I just wondered what dimensions are best to work in if you wanted to print A4 and A3 artwork to avoid pixelation? Like how to make it look good quality? Thank you
Exactly what I was hoping for in a no music, no nonsense tutorial. Very helpful especially to someone who has used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Just wanting to know how to do some of the same things as those programs but with Procreate. EXCELLENT job. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!! I’ve had procreate for a year and I’m finally dabbling and I could never figure out shading and symmetry! Thank you I have my Apple pen and I love it
The best tutorial I’ve found for anything ever the amount of time I’ve spend watching a million tutorials to figure out photoshop, I’ve learned almost everything i need in 10 minutes, mans a saint
This was so simple and really on point without overexaggerating your explanation! I ordered my iPad today and I'm already looking forward to this handy programm! I used SAI with a bamboo tablet but compared to the SAI UI, Procreate is so much easier to look at and feels much more organized imo. Can't wait to try it!
I felt a little out of place buying my iPad knowing very little about drawing. I thank you for helping me to feel like I’m starting a new journey into art. I’m going to do it my way!
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I also appreciate not spending the first 5min or so with pointless talk; you get right to it.
I clicked around in the color palette area for so long looking for the color picker. Thank you lol. All of this is so helpful. Procreate is awesome but the possibilities are almost overwhelming for me as I transition into digital art after years of just creating art in real life. It’s strange to be a very confident artist and then enter almost an entirely new dimension where you haven’t yet figured out how to transfer your skills. Looking forward to learning more from you.
This video is literally my first experience with Procreate, and it was perfect! I literally was excited throughout. This is my first experience with digital illustration and I have waited for this day since forever. Thank God for my sister for lending me her beautiful iPad ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this video. I have zero drawing skills, but still decided to buy Procreate to get better. Your video makes me feel like I can do basic drawing and it turns out nice.
I have a really short attention span and get frustrated if something is being explained too vastly etc but your video is just perfect. I'm so glad I found it! Thank you for making it!
I am attending an Apple Class about Procreate in about an hour. I wanted a head-start, so I watched this video. Superbly done!!! I know I now have to do my part and practice, but this was a wonderful introduction. I see others feel the same way. Thank You!!
I dont either, but to change the opacity all you have to do is go to your layers and click on the letter N icon and you should see it pop up as well with other effects you can add on to that layer you clicked. Hope that helped

I got on for the first time and immediately got off and went to RUclips to look for a tutorial lol thank you for the short and very helpful explanation!!

This was so easy to follow and extremely helpful! 🙏 I'm really considering getting into graphic design and Procreate looks incredible for that traditional drawing feel, and this video made me want it even more!
Amazing video!!! Exactly what I needed... thought it would take hours to learn how to use it. Third day with ipad and procreate... I've been dreaming of this moment for years!! I searched for "using procreate for the first time" and sure glad I clicked on your video!

This video was really helpful. After 20yrs not doing graphics, I was floundering to get up to date. So glad I got procreate…and videos like this are just so helpful!
Great video! Very helpful :) Do you have any tips for changing the pressure sensitivity of brushes? My Apple Pencil doesn’t seem to pick up when I’m pressing harder or lighter on the tablet
If you go to Prefs in Procreate, there is a section called "edit pressure curve". However, it should detect the pressure by default, so something may be wrong with the Apple Pencil. Try using the Studio Pen brush, and see if pressing lighter gives you thinner lines vs. pressing hard. If it doesn't, even after adjusting the pressure curve, then I'm afraid it's a hardware problem. Are you using a generation 2 Apple Pencil with a newer iPad? Only certain iPads are compatible with certain generations of Apple Pencil.
This video alone has sold me on getting an iPad to get procreate. Very informative.. I've been hesitant about going digital but this really helped me out.
Dude, thanks a whole lot! I bought myself a new iPad last Christmas and have since been debating whether or not I should buy Procreate. Thanks a bunch! I love your art style by the way! Maybe someday you should become an illustrator!
I just got an ipad yesterday to finally get procreate (I miss being able to draw anywhere at anytime, like it was while I was a traditional artist) and I struggled with understanding procreate waaaayyyyyyy too much.
