I got my first iPad today and going to get Procreate later today. I am going in expecting my work to look garbage as a lot of the artists I see on IG typically have all their own custom brushes and stuff made. I will be happy if I can even draw a basic anime character TBH.
This is just mad exceptional! I had Procreate for ages, but barely had time to learn how to use it. Already, this video makes me wanna follow along because this all looks simple to follow and do, and it's also so very well-explained and demonstrated. I doubt this will take me 15 minutes to do in one sitting, but I surely can fit this into my schedule this week and do it over a number of days. Well done, Procreate team; thanks so much for this!

What a great example to show why we want to work in layers! Awesome tutorial, your handbook online and your RUclips channel really back up your product. I just got into drawing with iPad Air and Apple Pencil 2 and remembered that I bought Procreate YEARS ago, thinking I would try it someday when I had the right hardware. Sure enough, I was able to get the latest version, no subscription and no additional cost. Thank you!!!

I wanted an iPad to be able to use procreate for so long and my husband gifted me with one for my birthday. When I first used Procreate I was very happy but felt quickly limitated until I found this serie! I had so much fun discovering all the features and it was very easy to follow. I had the same exact experience as you, i have been wanting to use procreate for yearsss and i always saw people making such amazing things on here but when I finally got my hands on the ipad i literally could not figure out anything it was so overwhelming 😭 but this video helped so much
I bought an iPad, Apple Pencil, and a standing case just to use procreate, and boy was I overwhelmed by the sheer amount of tools, features and options! I’m so glad they made these videos, because I’d still be struggling without them

Thank you for creating these as they are so useful for beginners and anyone who has been "out of it" for a long time such as myself. I tried using Photoshop but the prohibitive and controlling price point ruined it. A friend mentioned Procreate and the potential to become creative again has been restored. This channel was exactly what I was looking for!

Me watching this without an Ipad (yet) as it’s been my dream to draw digitally and I might be close to buying one
very important: if you leave the canvas and go into your gallery, by the time you return, you can‘t undo anything you did in the last session. so there‘s no complete history of the changes saved into the file like in photoshop for example. very annoying, especially when it takes a long time to get used to this. so maybe create backup versions of your file from time to time.
I’ve had procreate for years but over time stopped using it as much.. I’ve been feeling nervous to start digital art again but this series makes it feel less scary! Thanks for making this series!!

@@BooshikiDikki That’s great to hear :) Ive been focusing more on drawing portraits so these are some artists that do great skin rendering and proportion work Proko, Ross draws , Sinix design you can find them on RUclips and they each have their own brush sets. Good luck with your work!

Really love this Procreate tutorial series! A suggestion regarding part one-- when I tried it, I repeatedly got a rectangle appearing on the screen that was hard to get rid of. I eventually discovered that it was the zoom box that appears when Settings/Accessibility/Zoom is enabled and you tap twice with three fingers. Maybe at the start, the course should go over various settings that might interfere with Procreate.
I have had Procreate for quite a while now, and have just ended up goofing about on it as I found it slightly complicated…after watching this video I have already got the hang of it and am planning on really working on digital art now. A clear and detailed explanation which is quick and simple to follow along to. Great job! ❤🎉😊

I just bought an iPad yesterday, specifically to get Procreate, after wanting it for a couple years now. I'm crying at how much is possible and how wonderful this tutorial is for someone new to digital drawing by hand. I have very shakey limbs and the ease of undoing is such a relief, as I'm sure I'll be undoing a lot. I love the pacing some (and the pretty host) that I'm really excited about what I can make with this, with your help. I'm like a little kid in the Christmas videos who got what they wanted and can't believe it's finally here

Thank you, there is so much to learn and we need it in bite size pieces which build on each other. You have done a great job. Some years ago when David Hockney did his iPad paintings he used the “Brushes” App, which I found fairly simple and easy to use. Then it seemed to fade out of existence. Procreate notched it up but so many aspects were a mystery to me. Thank you for this series. I will do my best to follow along.
Wow. This is the only demo that actually helped me to START without having ANY real knowledge of the software!!! It is a ton of stuff to learn so I have to stop and practice and give my old brain a rest, but your instructions are CLEAR and easy to follow. Plus you have a lovely voice to listen to. I will keep working along with you and I so appreciate you taking the time to help us.

Thanks for the easy to follow instruction - the instructions were clear, concise and to the point. I downloaded Procreate onto my iPad last week and am only just beginning to explore it but this definitely makes me want to explore more. I did as best I could with it but have discovered that (unbelievably!) my index finger is not as sensitive as a digital pencil! My iPad is about five or six generations old so this may be the perfect excuse to indulge in an upgrade

This is the video that beginners need! Even though some people can understand the basic functions of an app, they still need direction, especially beginners who have never used that app. Moreover, there are so many options that many people don't know or confuse beginners.

If you want both the experience of iPad and paper, look up Rock paper pencil. It's a transparent screen cover that mimics paper. I got it last month and completely changed how much more I enjoy using the pencil.
