So true. My grandparents came to America in the early 1900's. From Marano di Napoli and Salerno. I miss all the Sunday dinners with aunts, uncles and cousins. All have passed on and lost connections with cousins my age. But the conversations over the dinner table sounded the same. Life lessons that have carried me over the years.
Good wisdom. My great-grandparents lived to 99 and about 88. They were from a small city in Tuscany, Italy. He drank wine on Sundays. English is not for educated and rich people in Italy, let alone for old people . English was not considered chic and worthy enough to be learnt back in the past . French at most was, togheter with Latin and ancient Greek of course.
Great couple! I agree with them. Live your values every day. Honesty and gratitude are non-negotiable values. Focusing on money without living your values is a wasted life.

As an Italian, I'm impressed by their English. I guess they may have lived and worked where English is necessary. Maybe they used to work as language teachers, translators, International reasearchers etc.... When they were young, only rich families could afford high school and university education for their kids and English was a rare skill. Probably they studied and practiced other foreign languages as well and in those days it wasn't that common.

I'm Italian and I don't think the couple was saying that she is always right, they were trying to say that she is always "kind" or "just" with everyone, they used the wrong words because "she is always correct" when translated to Italian has another meaning
I think there was a slight misunderstanding when the wife said that she tends to be “correct,” which is why she went on to elaborate that she can be a bit of a nun. She doesn’t seem like the type of person who thinks she’s always right; she just values propriety.

The gentleman barely speaks… I’d say this has more to do with the longevity of their marriage than anything. 😅
Surely...in that couple he is the boss..but she gives the orders and is in charge of everything I suppose. 😂
I'm from Brazil and I'm learning English, I"ll be back here earlier, it's 3:16am now 😅please let a 👍 on my comment for me don't forget, sorry for my English
You are doing a good job on your English. 👍🏼
@@kevinspano7315 thank you
Very good English!👍💙👍💙
Keep on keeping on on! You got this…..
You are good at English, don't worry 😉
Would be nice to see the actual full interview without the cuts
To find an ITALIAN couple that age....speaking that good english...both of them....they surely are extremely well educated and wealthy as well. 100%
His English isn't that good that's why she spoke more. Maybe she worked as a translator or tour guide and needed good English.
I think they are life-long learners. They have learned the lessons of life.
Exstremely educated old Italians used to know French, Latin and, to the maximum extent, Ancient Greek. English is a relatively new thing.
@@teresafinoalchemyi would like to know how many languages you do know instead..🤦
English and English? Probably even Murican English?
English is not for educated and rich people in Italy, let alone for old people . English was not considered chic and worthy enough to be learnt back in the past . French at most was, togheter with Latin and ancient Greek of course.
As an italian, i have never met anybody over 80 speaking English. Maybe in cities, but not in the countryside. Congratulations!!
probably one of the best interviews you had . words of wisdom . cherish the blessings .
Great couple! I agree with them. Live your values every day. Honesty and gratitude are non-negotiable values. Focusing on money without living your values is a wasted life.
The best piece of advice from that wise old man: “let your wife speak, don’t say anything, have a concerned face as if you are intrested in what she says “. I do the exact same thing with my wife, it works great.
Thanks a milion for your funny &delightful video ❤
I agree almost everything. Only one, not: there is NOT a second opportunity in this world! We have to do our best now on earth to have the second eternal life in God! Love from a Tuscany grandma!👏
Where did they learn to speak such good english? What a lovely couple.
❤your video content 😊
After having watched & learnt a bit from your thousand videos or less- two things require to be mentioned 😅
1 - kudos to all the people & couples who ❤ speak with wisdom & their life stories -
2 - You + RUclips are a boon to All of us who enjoy Life 💕 & learning from Others 😊 have a wonderful life !!
It would interest me why her english was so good?
It's very uncommon that old people in Italy speak English. They are clearly a highly educated (probably also wealty) couple. Please note that in Italy, Milan (city centre) is where you could find this (quite rare) kind of people more easily.
Thank you for this delightful video . . in fact all the meaningful videos you make. God bless you
I would love to know of their career, hobbies, family.
He was a high level corporate executive if I’m not mistaken, she was a stay at home mom…
He's a good husband! He lets her do more of the talking than he is. There in lies the wisdom.
Very smart couple!
Wonderful channel
One of the best
Lovely couple! Thank you so much for sharing this and for what you do! 🙏🥰🌸
Love ❤ this thank you
They are even matching outfits!
Yes, which she undoubtedly lays out her husband's clothes, which she purchased for him on the bed.
the same wise life advice again and again in all world languages 🙏
the key for a good marriage is to stay silent and let the wife talk.
What a lovely couple.
Interviewer shouldn’t have said “you’re always right” to the wife at around 3:45. Sounded a bit insulting. The husband said it but he’s her husband and meant it as a compliment.
Also, don’t generalize ! She’s saying Americans don’t understand. 🙄. There’s a great many who do.
I'm Italian and I don't think the couple was saying that she is always right, they were trying to say that she is always "kind" or "just" with everyone, they used the wrong words because "she is always correct" when translated to Italian has another meaning
I bet those 2 Italians had a gooooood life 😅
Ha! They still do! Every day!
I think there was a slight misunderstanding when the wife said that she tends to be “correct,” which is why she went on to elaborate that she can be a bit of a nun. She doesn’t seem like the type of person who thinks she’s always right; she just values propriety.
I agree, I'm Italian and I don't think the couple was saying that she is always right, they were trying to say that she is always "kind" or "just" with everyone, they used the wrong words because "she is always correct" when translated to Italian has another meaning
he gestured with his hand, making the gesture of 'correct', putting the fingers together and lowering the hand in a straight line; she's straight as an arrow, does the right thing. She's upright. Upstanding.
Great couple. They don't make them like these anymore
What a lovely wise couple ❤❤❤

Listen young people. you may learn something. whether you understand it is questional in this society.
One thing to do is not live in the past. It’s gone you can’t get it back. Embrace the here and now and always step forward.
So? Former President Carter here in America was married for 77 years. He recently lost his wife and reached his hundredth birthday.
Brilliant and honest 🎉
