Normally when you read a title like "world's most beautiful coaster" you'd expect it to be an bit over exaggerated.. but when I walked into this area for the first time I instantly fell in love. Hats of the everyone involved, its stunning
I finally got to ride it yesterday and was almost beginning to think this might be overrated seing all the praises this received. It was not, it was even better than I thought. The best coaster experience, as a whole, in the world. This will be hard to top. The area , the layout, the ride system, the theming, the music... everything just goes so well together and is so well thought out. I don't see any park creating a comparable experience anytime but let's hope I'm wrong, we definitely want more experiences like this one. It was even more thrilling than I thought, less family thrill and more proper thill. As a huge Space Mountain de La Terre à la Lune fan (DLP was my home park back then) I got the same emotional response to this ride. The music, the steampunk atmosphere, the scale of the experience this provides. If Disney still had ambition today they would build something like this but they've been creatively dead for too long now in my opinion...
@@RossTurner94I doubt thatll happen, the fact it's so open yet so secretive adds to it. There are no videos of the station so I had no idea what to expect but it blew me away. Keeping it secret makes the ride better
@@rideexpedition well never say never. But what about those who cant say travel overseas? Or dont have that luxury or money to do so? What are they supposed to do? I think there should be a pov of this ride, why not?
I'm thinking of the physics involved with the structural supports and the velocity taken into account while watching this. It's interesting to me how they can make steel look 'beautiful', but it really does do so while being practical. I took Physics in college on a few levels, but it wasn't my major, however, I do understand the major theories behind it. So it's interesting to think of how the exact placement of the rivets makes a huge difference along with the amount of them. I don't know, I find it interesting even though I haven't been in school in almost 2 decades.
A few povs have been filmed and uploaded since it opened, but they always get taken down by the park within hours. People have downloaded them tho, so you might be able to find it if you know where to look
There's a POV going around online. People just need to ask on the coaster subreddit for it and this random person starts sending it out. It's an amazing coaster and I wish we had a HD version
@@bassface2426 The park will take down your video. I wouldn't say illegal by law, but the copyright holder for any footage made from the park is with the park and F.L.Y. is a coaster that you aren't supposed to take any onride videos of.

This theme park is top tier. I would say, far above Disney or Universal in the attention to detail. And they are not on a major budget like those parks either, so I would say this is a world class destination for sure.
hotel is very special experience - even the rooms are so small but the view over rookburgh, the sounds of the music and the coaster all afround you is so amazing...
They aren't motivated to do a ride like this. From what I have read, this park has built it like this because there are limits on how tall things can be. They have to dig below ground to create good coasters, and the theming is just amazing.
@@MigraineManX It‘s for safety I think. Due to the fact that the coaster is connected to all pathways, Phantasialand wants to make sure the people don‘t get hurt by things falling down from the riders. Like mobile phones, cameras and more
What? He did get on it. What are you talking about? He just didn't film a POV because that's a very easy way to get banned from Phantasialand. Guess what happened to the guy that actually recorded a POV of it? Immediate letter from the park and the owner.
there will always be something "better" - its not about this. This coaster is such a fun and exploring thing - the ride, the view from the top of the hotel into rookburgh - its really an experience..
Only if you look at raw numbers and ignore all the theming. Theming wise though? I don't think there's that many parks that even come close to competing.
it is beautiful but the most beautiful is Hakugei. Just wait until you see it man... hopefully the sun is out and you will know what I mean! Riding the white whale again in 12 days!
Sorry, no comparison. There’s hardly any theming for Hakugei. Granted it’s a magnificent white and blue giant. But F.L.Y. and Rookburgh are just like a dream steampunk land, next level detailing and magic. No comparison
It's like a mini city, so many hidden places with such beauty! This is one hell of a roller coaster, and a themed land! 👍👍

Completely agree to everything you said
Thank you for all these unique shots! It‘s just amazing how much Phantasialand used the space to build such a compact coaster that is themed that good
Beautiful indeed! The theming is brilliant!
super video , tolle bilder !
hat spaß gemacht , zuzuschauen
Even coaster supports are themed! So great!
After watching the pov for years.. riding it was nothing like it 🙏🏻
We really need to see a front seat POV of this ride.
Will probably never be Possible. They have controls like your on an Airport. No metal allowed because there could drop phones or smthg on people
@@companiero564 Never say never. Besides, I was more meaning the park themselves giving us a front seat POV.

I can’t believe it!
I got to ride it 2 weeks ago and I’m still sad I had to come home 🎢
I know they are strict about filming on rides but every other coaster out there has POV. Someone will find a way even though it's not allowed.
Forget it, I was there yesterday and the security check is insane in there, it’s like at the airport, so no chance.

I wouldn't say far above. Disney and Universal has tons of details in their parks. Most of them are not that known unless you're a fan.
The theming looks similar to universal
The whole layout reminds me of Harry Potter land, namely diagon alley
The empty trains are cool and eerie at the same time! You must have stayed in the hotel? Great off-ride video!
