Halloween Hearse with Infinity Illusion

- I finally built a hearse! Being able to store it was a big concern so I designed a system that allows me to build it and take it down in minutes. It takes up barely any space in the garage and the best part is it has a huge infinity illusion hidden inside that gives the illusion of an endless catacomb of bones

Can you show us how you made the axel? Having trouble attaching the wheels onto mine.
my axles are just straight pieces of pipe i drilled holes on each end. once the wheels slide on i have a pin that goes into the hole to keep the wheels on. the pipes are just attached to the legs with u bolts. hope this helps!!

I have used infinity mirrors before but I have to say this is impressive
What type of mirror tint did you use for this? I tried one of these illusions years ago with mirrored window tint but it didn't work. I was thinking about trying again this year.
+Deb Neufell (Neuf) I used the GILA brand I got it right from home depot in the window section along with the spray and stuff to apply it. wasnt too hard to work with but having a second person when doing a large piece is a must!
+Eerie Acres Cemetery I think the mistake I made before was I bought a piece of it on eBay and while it was "one way" the percentage was incorrect for what I'm trying to do. I'll pick up the Gila brand. Thanks!

I have to say, that I Love what you did with your Hearse.
The infinity window, was such an incredible and Unreal edition to your Hearse.
I'm sure that everyone Loved it!
So....having said that, can you tell us....what the dimensions are , of your hearse.
How Long is it?
How Wide is it?
How High, are the Sides on it......By that I mean.....what are the actual dimensions of your sides?
How High off the Ground, is the Bottom of your Hearse.....with it sitting on your Wheels?
How High off the Ground, is the Top of the Hearse, with it sitting on your Wheels?
What are the Dimensions of your Back Door?
I have recently, over the past 3 years....gotten more and more involved and HOOKED on Halloween, and I have just run across the various You Tube posts, about Horse Drawn Hearse's like yours.....and LOVE the Idea.
I am wanting to build my own, for this Halloween......and am wanting to get started on it, right away.
I just bought Two 48 inch Steel wheels for the back of my Hearse, and am searching for two more 32 inch Steel wheels, for the front.
I like your idea, for making it come apart for easy storage, and am wanting to pick your brain, on your Dimensions....as it looks perfect, for what I have in mind.
If you have any free time, in the next couple of weeks.....I would sure really appreciate, hearing any advice that you can give me, on how you did yours.
I am just really needing to know......how High to make the sides...... and how Long the sides are ( Before you attach the Seat section) .... ,and the entire length of the finished Hearse?
I would sure love to use your dimensions on my own Hearse.

Thanks so much!!!! I created almost all of the plans in my head with a few sketches here and there to make sure the numbers worked let me see if I can remember all of them off the top of my head
How Long is it? without the kick panel for the drivers feet it is 10 with the kickpanel its around 12 feet
How Wide is it? 44 inches side to side I believe
How High, are the Sides on it......By that I mean.....what are the actual dimensions of your sides? I used a single sheet of plywood to make the two sides i had it cut into 4 11 inch wide pieces length wise. those are the pieces that make the top and bottom of the sides
How High off the Ground, is the Bottom of your Hearse.....with it sitting on your Wheels? around 32 inches i bought 36 inch steel pipes to hold it but felt it was way too tall off the ground i cut about 4 inches off each pipe to lower it
How High off the Ground, is the Top of the Hearse, with it sitting on your Wheels? the pipes are what actually it up I would say its close to 7 feet tall
What are the Dimensions of your Back Door? 44 inches wide by.................i cant remember how tall I will have to measure the height the door has a piece that goes on top similar to the front you can see my put a second piece across the top of that as well i will try to measure it to know for sure

I have looked at your video a million times now, and watching it once again......while reading your dimensions, starts to make it all come together, for me.
Did you ever consider making it out of Lighter Weight materials?
For example, did you ever ponder using 1x4's for the Framing, as opposed to using the heavier 2x4's.
Just for ease of setting it up and breaking it down and storage?
Were you ever concerned at all.....about "Safety" and "Security" , what with Little Tricker or Treaters ( or BIGGER Kids / Goofy Boozed up Adults ) attempting to Climb Up on the Hearse....for some Photo Ops?
I am wondering....if....Beefing it Up......and making it really Stable....to make it be able to support our own Weight.....( An Adults Weight ) ......might be the way to go.....Just in Case?
We all know.... how us GUYS can be, at times.
My only concerns, about building the Hearse is ......"Joy Riders" or "Vandals" or Picture Seeking "After Hours" Admirers of the Halloween Hearse?
Hey.....If I was in my Teens again.....or even in my later years......after a Beer or Two....it would be really tempting to climb aboard or crawl in the back...for some FUN and some Pretty Cool pictures! lol
I'm not sure, that I could really Blame them, for at least "trying".
The Hearse's do look pretty cool and pretty inviting, to climb into.
So, having said all of that, have you had anyone, TRY to climb on board or in it, over the years?
If I saw on, in someones yard.....that....would be my very first thought and idea!

I have looked at lots of other Hearse builds, but really Love yours!
But....in all of the various Hearse Posts, and in all of the comments, I think.....that My own question, regarding "Security" and "Safety", is the very First question concerning that topic.
I was wondering, if you have experienced any such situations with your own Hearse?
Kids ...will always be Kids....No matter how old "US" Big Kids might be! LOL
How do you go about, keeping all the Thrill seekers "off" and "out of" your Hearse?
I would think.....that it would be a Magnet for things to get Damaged or Broken?
OK.....with all of that said.....I understand the dimensions of your Plywood but I would really like to know, the measurements of your sides.
I am just wondering.....how Big to make the BOX section ( The Coffin Section ) of the Hearse?
I have looked at a lot of Hearse's.......and I have seen some that looked really weird, and so Unbalanced...due to them being to Long, or too High and to Boxy, or some were even to Low etc.
Where as ....yours looks just Right.
Love to hear a lot more about your Hearse, and it's measurements, and how you protect your Display...once the lights go out?

I have 4 steel pipes that scree into the base of it. I think if you watch my other videos on it you can see how it all works I have a video showing a quick timelapse of me putting it all together

@@roseannmorris9623 I think Im using 1 inch steel pipe from homedepot it comes threaded on both ends I bought 2 and cut them in half to get 4. so they screw into the plates on the bottom of the hearse and act as legs to hold it up. the steel threaded pipes are in the plumbing section
