So, for the college fund one. That one is somewhat hard. But at the same time... not really. The younger daughter wasn't prepared. She was told her whole childhood (most likely) that she has a college fund, and wont have to worry about it. She is still a child.
Her older sister and boyfriend are adults, and have their priorities all messed up. He's not looking for a job because of the holidays? And he's spending time with family? Am i the only one who caught that? That's a lazy and immature excuse. The holidays are the EASIEST time to get a job btw!!! I went to school FT and worked 40+ hrs a week 3 weeks after having my son (who was born at 36weeks and was a suprise blessing). It absolutely sucked missing out on his newborn phase, i hated it. But I dropped out of my long term college, and chose a 9month trade school the moment I found out I was pregnant. Had my son early, but went right back at it. Had a decent paying job 6 months post baby. When you're a parent, you do whatever you need to, to support that child.
He was offered a job out of state? Interesting... I wonder if him and the sister both knew about the college fund and knew it would be offered for them to stay and give them more time to be jobless. Their inability to step up, and act like true adults/parents, is ridiculous. They need to he slapped in the face with life. Give them the couch. He has family in town they can bunk with as well. They wont he homeless. If that was a true scare, he wouldnt be spending time with family, he would be job hunting.
Now she set up her other daughter with school debt (if she decides to go still) that she had no time to get a PT job to save for on her own; for a "family emergency" that isn't an actual emergemcy because the people it's actually happening to, are acting like it's a holiday. I hate this so much.
She's ASCON 1 all the way in my book.
I personally know what the younger sister feels like. I paid my parents $800 a month for rent and babysitting after my divorce, while my youngest sister sat there rent free, no job, staying up till 3am playing video games. 8 years later, and she's still at home, no diploma, no job, playing games till 3am. Giving the constant handouts doesnt teach them to be adults. It teaches complacency. No gratitude whatsoever, but expectancy. It's sad.
Story 5: OP didn't say where the college fund came from. If she doesn't make much money, it could have come from grandparents. She's a major ASCON for sacrificing her daughter's future to temporally bilge out a sinking ship.
It would be one thing is the younger child didn't know about the collage fund but she knew that was one less thing daughter had to worry about after high school bo she'll have to pay her own way
Story 6. As a writer, that guy triggered my rage 🤬🤬🤬 yes, we generally can write anywhere, yes I too write while I'm on the couch, I also need an f-ton of draws and space to have all my notes and have an organised space where I can keep all my writing paraphernalia.

Just because he's paying for it doesn't mean it isn't cheating. (Unless they agreed to a polyamorous relationship or had another arrangement.)
And in the story where the daughter was having her 4th child and the mother was going to give the younger daughter's college fund to her.... wth? Why is her daughter having more children if she has all these physical problems and issues? Also if they need to have two people move in with them to pay their bills they shouldn't be having any more children.
Seriously! If I had injuries from giving birth to the point where it's physically painful to move, I would get an elective tubal ligation and insist on it with my husband also getting snipped. I'm pregnant with my second, still super early, but I waited three years to get pregnant again and I'm 28 at midnight. I was 25 when I gave birth to my first child. The plan is 3, but if 3 won't work financially or physically, then I'm not going to do it. Even my fiance was saying after I have this baby maybe he can get snipped, so it's a tabled discussion as we see how this pregnancy goes.

Story 5: in my personal life I am the younger sister. It’s baffling watching your older sibling have child after child and your parent takes time, effort and resources away from you to give to the grand children.
I would question op, after four kids in such a short time with a man that your daughter isn’t even married too, is this the first time you put you oldest and her kids before your youngest? I doubt it.
Also was it just you who contributed to the college fund or were grandparents also contributing? And did the oldest originally have a college fund? If so did she squander it on poor life choices.

Story 5: Why does the older daughter keep having kids? She and her boyfriend where clearly not making enough money after baby 2 and 3, why is there even a baby four on the way? No, the younger daughter is in the right here. That was her money and she shouldn't have to have it sacrificed because her older sister is not responsible enough to STOP HAVING CHILDREN when she clearly can't afford to care for them. Birth control and condoms are cheap, Mom should have just paid for those things and gave them to the older daughter after baby 2.

31:06 no it’s not tricky. her older daughter had 4 children, severe health complications after her 2nd that left her unable to work but kept having more children, and not only that but both her and her boyfriend decided to have 4 children when he is working minimum wage jobs that he can’t get full time hours at, the amount of irresponsibility to not only bring a child into the world when you cannot afford to care for yourself let alone a child but to have 3 more?! The younger daughter is the child that was always left to care for herself because “oh she’ll be fine she can take care of herself my oldest needs me more”. Yes parents don’t have any obligation to pay for college, her older daughter made her choice when she had more children after not being able to support the ones she already had why does the younger daughter have to suffer the consequences of her sister’s actions
Story three is why I hate public proposals. Yeah fancy dinner and mood and whatnot is great, but the pressure on the person being asked to say yes so they don't look like a complete jerk is selfish and unfair in my personal opinion. OP was basically set up to fail, and swallowing the ring even if OP failed to follow instructions? NTA, how could anyone have known if they were in OPs place, and how could anyone have possibly said no in that situation???
