They should definitely be making some kind of effort to pay some kind of restitution towards the the equipment they damaged in the case with the ruined construction equipment. I don't care if it's $50 month, or if they ever pay back the full amount, an effort should be made to rectify the situation.

Imagine renting one, breaking it, and not paying the rental company. They’d sue you. They were lucky sister was able to make BIL not pursue it further. They did not have permission. Mostly because my teachers would seat me in between friend groups of badly behaved boys to try and break them up. Instead they would all just team up to bully me.

I believe that the question of who pays plays very little in the menu. Omnivores and vegetarians can eat vegan food, but vegans can't just eat meat and animal products without ill effect, not if they have been on that diet for a time. Having a small selection of vegan food is not disrespecting the non-vegan people at the wedding, wtf? I'm a bit confused how they managed to get engaged without OP every noticing his whole families weird anti-vegan stance.
Re: Story 8, poly relationships can have a sort of semi-closed thing going on, where a person dates more than one partner but those partners don't date other people. Usually that's how it ends up with a polyamorous person gets with a monogamous person, iirc. HOWEVER, that is also something that should be discussed beforehand. Because there are definitely poly relationships where the partners still have other partners, and it is weird for him to just expect her to "know" she's "not supposed" to see other guys. Sounds kinda sketchy, but I mean, people suck at communication in relationships all the time. It's an awkward situation that either way could have been solved if he had just laid out his expectations in the first place so she could decide whether this was what she was okay with. That said, "jealous of being second place" is also weird because you're not second place, you're just not receiving 100% of his attention and that makes you jealous. Next time, don't get involved with an open relationship then!

@@ambergerber5162 Oh no problem. I can only really give an outsider perspective since I've never been (at least romantically) interested in more than one person at a time, so I try my best. In the time that has passed since this comment, I have learned there's a trend with jealousy in polyamory, and it tends to be either that the person is new to poly relationships, or that someone is feeling a bit resentful due to personal insecurities. Some poly relationships can also be really tight so newcomers can be a testy subject. Like any relationships, communication is extremely important, but in polyamory there are a few more hurdles to jump and a lot more care that needs taken since you're involving more people, so that things like this don't happen - or if they do, the separation can be amicable instead of stewing in resentment.

I know I’m late to these stories but I need updates to all and I have of course an opinion and I love this channel. The contractor BIL I think if he had been a good guy he should have offered to help the FIL himself to do that part of the job but only if it was a personal project like it being there deck or porch or whatever then all of this could have been avoided. Maybe also FIL could had paid him a little sum thing as a good jester. We r families and we should always try to help one another. But that is my perfect world. I also felt like contractor BIL felt really good about not having to be around his wife’s family and could get out of ever having to deal with them ever again bc he had a superior way about him anyways and I have more of an opinion or gut feeling on them but I will stop on that. And the SD BIL and Sisters I’m surprised at that like everyone else I could understand the parents expecting the couch thing if they wasn’t married but they are married and that’s even how it had been in my house with my parents back in the day if we wasn’t married we wasn’t aloud to sleep together under my parents roof hell I was sneaking my overnight bags in my LH jeep when we were dating and I was like in my early 20s 😅😅😅 so my dad didn’t know I was staying weekends he just thought I was just leaving to go on my dates b4 he got home from work and getting home at curfew while he was already snoring bc 5am comes early but my mom knew and she preferred it that way too. Strict parents good parenting. But on that it just seems like the dad and hubby of his daughter is just having an old fashioned pissing contest but they were invited there u would think that dad would have had a better sense of humor there but that is very unhealthy weird. I do feel sorry for those sisters tho really want an update to that.
