    Remember in 1992 when the Dream Team played Kenya? That was a complete blowout and Kenya just wanted to pose for photos with the US team afterwards.
    Now a Sudan team with two marginal NBA players takes our billion dollar all star team to the wire. The growth of talent globally is exponential.

      The world has caught up. You see the NBA Draft. Lots of lottery picks were foreigners. Still no excuse for this. The 2021 Gold Team lost to Nigeria in a warm up game. Also basketball was invited in the US. These FIBA Rules are stupid as hell. You can goal tend any shot on rim. Dumb

      This South Sudan team also has G league players, former NBA players, current college players and as a coaching staff former NBA players running it, what happen here was a lackadaisical USA team came to play and they weren't prepared for this olympic South Sudan team that was more than ready to play USA and you know they wanted this win more than anything so yeah this was definitely a big trap game for the USA.

    • @ravensfan777
      @ravensfan777 Месяц назад +24

      You guys need to calm down. Yes, the world has improved but that's not what happened here. It was the US having a "bad game" statistically. US shot like 25% and played bad defense & still won. Meanwhile SS shot like 50% (not common) and had to give everything they had. When US plays like themselves, it will be a blowout like Serbia (one of the best international teams).

      You are seemingly forgetting a few things.
      The human spirit is paramount. Anyone with even a cursory degree of historical knowledge would know that history is replete with David vs Goliath stories.
      I don't think the game embarrassing.
      South Sudan played their hearts out.
      Lebron James put the USA team on his back and carried them home. There was excellence on both sides. Two teams fighting down to the very last with the victory in the balance but never, until the final second, certain. If you can't see that
      then the problem is not with the effort of the teams on the floor.

They have future hall of famers at every position, even down to the end of the bench. There's a reason South Sudan was favored by 25 points and are the Olympic favorites for gold because they have unmatched talent and skill.
