    Nikko, I know you are not a flight instructor, so on, and so forth, but I learn so much about flying watching your videos. I've been flying since I was 13 years old, and I turn 70 tomorrow (September 5). One thing I have learned from all those decades of flying, is that if you think you have it figured out, and know it all, you need to stop flying. There is always something new, and you talk about the experience of flying. That is where real learning happens. Thank you, for helping to keep us all safe.

      @@NikosWings Thanks, my license was signed off by a guy named Delbert Koerner, whose flight review for his license was done by Orville Wright. Lord, reading that makes me feel like an antique. He taught me two great lessons that have saved my life: 1. it's ok to do a 180 and exit, and 2. There are bold pilots and old pilots but no bold, old pilots. With thousands of hours, those lessons have served me well.

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  4 года назад +1

      No way!!! That’s incredible!
      I had an amazing instructor during my multi engine who taught me the same and also told me “if you can’t fly there, drive. And you can always buy an airline ticket”

    • @robertschneider2189
      @robertschneider2189 4 года назад

      @@NikosWings way, "Delbert Koerner" google it sometime. He got his pilot's license in 1915 or so. He once told me, "You want an airplane to climb pull back the stick. Pull it back more, and it will go down." I had to take my first 10 hours in a Cub so I knew what the rudder is for. He hated tricycle landing gear. As part of my private, I had to roll and loop a Stearman. He told me the time to figure out how to get an airplane right side up is not when you are upside down. He saved my life. In a Bonanza in 1975 or so, a Santa Ana wind was blowing in Los Angeles. Mother Nature decided I should be upside down in the Cahuenga Pass. If it was not for Delbert, I would be dead

      Takes lots of practice, focus and multi tasking. Ppl is the easy one. The instrument is tough snd you must put social media aside and buckle in to excel at it. Commercial is just advanced ppl, CFI, or ATP are extremely tough.. I,like many, was training at a flight school to go to the regionals, and now that the future is done for in terms of aviation job-wise as a career for at least t years, I hace shifted things and am looking into my own business in IT, it is the future. Being a professional pilot "was" the future until this covid nonsense hit. Recruiters at SkyWest/Comair and Envoy suggested I look for a different career with the huge layoffs. And even more pilots furloughed coming in Oct. A family friend took early retirement at age 56 last month after 27 yrs flying with United.. He was a senior Capt in the company, typed in every Boeing and a few A-buses. He said in 1995 they had 11,400 pilots, the most they'd ever had, it is now down to 4800 and will be under 3800 by mid Oct. It is sad that globalists and elites, big tech want to start their new world order, socialist take over. I was hoping it would not happen for at least 10 more yrs minimum, but the elite and the U.N. and the WHO have their agenda to follow.

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  4 года назад

      @MasterCarguy44 maybe the airlines will suffer but rest assured private corporate flying will flourish.
      Also, what in the world is wrong with you? The kind of crazy talk about new world order, socialists and green eggs and ham is the propaganda spread by the white house and Fox News.
      Please get back to planet earth and think logically and let logic prevail instead of crazy talk.

      @@NikosWings I dispise politics, it is the evil within. I hate to say it but Fox has been more honest and factual about the news than CNN/Communist News Network or MSN. Fox has their share of biased news yes, but I have also been visiting a lot of cities and it is VERY clear, unless your a blind idiot to reality (I am not into politics or CNN, MSN, ABC they're all in on it) that the democrats want to go along with the economic destruction plan of the world and nation by leftist scum. Fyi: Agenda 21 was agreed on by 178 nations in the UN in 1992. The dems are a total FAIL, with rioting, destroying property, beating and killing people, failing to admit they have a problem or just ignoring it. Its all in Democrst cities, 98%. People can lie about the facts but they cant hide the facts. As a spoiled wealthy democrat, you should go visit some of the dem cities and see it for yourself. Understand too that Antifa is all Dems and BLM was,7500/hijacked by white fascists with known and unknown terrorists working with them. Fact: BLM started with a good valid message, but has been long gone this last 14 months. Do not donate to them unless you want your name put on a terrorist watch list. I also hope you do not have kids otherwise you should be ashamed of yoursrlf and not be a father to support the lawlessness of the left. The left leaning networks ignore the innocent children getting murdered every day, and they lie about covid. Fox, C-SPAN and BlazeTV cover much more reality. Gov Cuomo of NY literally pulled his own elderly parents out of nursing homes then committed premeditated murder of thousands of them by telling hospitals to put their elderly in the homes to stay safe. I LOST 2 relatives in one of those homes!!!!!. I do not know where you came from but I grew up in a communist/socialist country, came to this country to get away from the violence, lies, stealing, dictatorship, with no rights, everyone poor, only the politicians are rich and now the US is headed to socialism fast and the left wants it. You should learn some world history young man. Your blinded, biased one sided arrogance does not serve you well. I served this great country 15 years and proud of it btw. So get rid of police sure and you will see total chaos, spilling into your glamorous, fancy private gated suburbs. Sadly, you rich schmucks have no idea whats REALLY going on until it comes to your neighborhood or front door. Ok, I have my ATP & 2200 hrs but never used it, and my primary background is in the medical field, has been along time now and I know that all these t-shirt material masks and surgical blue/white ones are useless against colds, flu and covid.... N98 "medical use" and higher and there's a good chance of protection. We wear these simple masks in the OR/operating room to protect the surgical field and patient, not ourselves and we change them every 13-15 minutes, no touch, and take 5-7 minutes to breathe. Pushing masks for covid is like using an open fence to stop dirt from blowing through it. The Democrats used to be a good party in the US, but are all about serving themselves and China. Agenda 21, ID2020, Agenda 2030, Rockefeller Foundation knew about covid 19 in 2010 because their team with the Bill Gates Foundation med team genetically re-engineered this normal covid to attack humans. Look at the millions murdered by vaccine testing by Bill Gates and ID 2020 in India and Africa. This is no conspiracy theory, it is conspiracy!!!, look it up, this is REAL, and it is happening right now. You'll change your mind when vaccines are forced on you.. Those vaccines will come with a (micro chip too)

It was so unbelievably cold. When I left Texas from San Antonio I had a 50knot tailwind also doing 250 across the ground on the way back the APF. @@NikosWings Yeah, in my 20s I wanted to be doing exactly what you are, running my business and flying around the country. Reality had a different hand for me. The money is still a work in progress. Even my son says I should get back into it. In the meantime, it's great to watch you enjoying the life. Just keep doing the channel! It's awesome! :)

      With extreme planning and in warmer wx when its much safer, long XC is very doable yes. If you have no anti ice, stick to clear sunny 25+°C days. And if you have IFR on your plastic, but not much actual IMC, do not risk it. And never ever be in a hurry to get anyplace. Get-there-itis is in the top 3 killer of low time >> (under 700 hrs) private pilots. Part of the fun is making 2, 3 or 4 stops, generally 3-4 stops on a flight this long in a Cessna 172, 182.

    Great video Niko. At one point you sounded hypoxic but I assumed that's just the microphone blocked by the mask? Was getting close on the flow but your o2 saturation looked fine. Amazing to come through the difficult conditions to a clear vfr approach and warm air! Thanks as always for am awesome job.

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  4 года назад +3

      Yeah that mask was hard to talk to the mic and had to almost yell which was using lots of O2
