I kind of like it because it’s going back to old school. Old school is the new New! Fits the brand aesthetic. All the backpacks start to look the same, but this one is a little different.
since i already have my aer and also waiting for Fyro, i am here just for my HK nostalgia and some random guy with a computer chair crossing the street.
The black interior is unforgiveable. I can understand the other shortcomings due to its' low price. For brand image, I would prefer Jansport - I'd rather be viewed as an aspiring student.
In my head the name Carhartt is blue collar work wear, overalls for mechanica, hardy jackets for outdoor ranch workers.. etc. Buuut... They're not that these days are they? They're a fashion brand now for insta folks and young uns. I wouldn't assume any hard wearing nature that the name may suggest. Iyswim.
@@Scott__C i find it weird that a LOT of back pack makers assume people are hauling laptops around, I guess a lot of people do, but I never have. More likely to have dog toys, snacks, water, picnic blankets etc. 😂🤣
@@linedwell A lot are, but for me, if I don't have to bring a laptop and I'm not traveling (which I then need to bring the laptop), I'm trying to avoid carrying a backpack.
Do you want to help me build a game-changing backpack? 👉🏼 nomadsnation.com/building-a-backpack

Old schools the new new haha
The large bottle was the thing I was worried about with this and couldn't find any info. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
You had me at the color 😮💨
LOVE the color
i saw a video of another guy testing the water resistance of the bag and it actually kept clothes and paper bone dry after being showered on for 5 min
Surprising but also great to know!
Yeah this guy didn’t check the things I need for the bag like will my laptop get WET
@@RealThrax tell me about it
You really need to review the Decathlon travel bags. Same or even cheaper than the Carhartt with tons more features
hoping to soon!
When is the fyro kickstarter happening?
According to the community notes, May 1 is the tentative date.
correct! still deciding - it will either be May 1st or May and 7th - will be determined in a week or two :)
I like the color and the front pocket, but that interior is dark. I guess if i never was gonna carry a laptop. At least the price is right.
Any chance you could review alpaka shift v2 ?
Got it in our possession, full review hopefully live in a few months
Please review a Yeti Crossroads bag!!!
Will try!
Some people dont know what they want in a bag because theyve never thought about it. Black interior is an example. Sounds great but not practical.
the one great thing about it is it'll never "get" dirty, but that aside, no bueno

Was going to say.. I definitely need more info about things happening at 0:54
our new office is in Lai Chi Kok, and industrial area where people are always slingin' chairs from one new office to another haha
Idk why anyone buys these other than the brand. It’s a jansport with a carhart logo slapped on it doubling/tripling its price.
After reviewing both bags I think Carhartt is more durable

It’s so dark lol

yea they are still a respected name in the blue collar world me thinks, but also sort of expanding into new markets as well. Impressive!
They make solid clothes at least mostly, but never, ever make mistake of getting their boots. They're awful.
If that's the main customer base, are they backpack folks and if they are, are they toting laptops? I'd guess not.

The durability aspect is appealing. I could see myself gifting one to my 10yo nephew as his first “travel” backpack…
Great call!
Not yall flipping us off 🤣🤣🙂↔️😆
Hmmmmm.....who review the reviewer.?
