      Most of these vehicles have older motors that have already proven themselves and history shows automakers always make these older motors more and more reliable as they work out minor issues. For example the Mx5 is on a 1.6 sky active that is almost a decade old and on a light weight vehicle the motor would further have less stress.

MX-5 roadster, the RX-8, as well as the CX-7 crossover SUV and Mazda 5 Mini-van are all made in Japan...with some parts dilution (with the MX-5 Miata 100% Made in Japan). Mazda's brand loyalty is still struggling as a result of the Ford partnership; it was 39 percent in 2016, below the industry average of 53 percent (latest report from May 15, 2017).

      Its based on data running back for up to 10 years for that model, in addition to thousands of people who have that model and their experiences with it. Many use these models for commercial use & put high miles on them which helps gauge the reliability estimates in the Consumer Reports Survey.

      Well now Mazdas are considered reliable next with Honda and Toyota on the list. I think most people when it comes to reliability, especially most mechanics I think wouldn't list Mazda on the category of reliability due to having Ford parts in the past. Correct me if I am wrong.

    • @moeanthony9308
      @moeanthony9308 4 года назад +1

      @@weirdtemple1217 No sir you are not wrong at all, however you did miss th whole point of this segment. Its purely advertising. Why isn't Mazda 3, Civic, Corolla, rav 4 mentioned? It's obvious. They don't need to advertise because they sell themselves. The Manufacturer is throwing money at the low volume sellers or ones to impact sales. Now if you want to discuss Mazda, their sales are not reflecting where they should be so its probably needed to throw them into the mix. Reliable or not at the end of the day this is about money. If you move to other you tube segments the order will be different and cars chosen maybe different because it's what money they have available to promote the brand or model. Mazda may not even show up but I bet dollars to donuts at this point they need to

    • @weirdtemple1217
      @weirdtemple1217 4 года назад

      @@moeanthony9308 Well I agree, it's all advertising, I guess I was referring to why Mazdas were also included yet without Civic, Rav4 and Corollas. I am not sure about the CVT transmissions on Toyotas and Hondas, they are risky, and I heard the brand new Rav4's quality isn't the same as before, but like you said a different segment the list is different, so yeah my comments can be irrelevant. I wanted to mention Mazda lol.
