I also could see the whip as a sort of grapple, to get her enemies close enough to smell her quirk. Maybe she could've grappled Mineta that time before and pulled him towards her.
That skin tight body suit she wears actually tones down her quirk. If she creates a tear she can release more pheromones. It serves to also keep her quirk in check, useful in her daily life as a teacher.

It give him anything. And depending on how much control he has, he could in theory pull his blood off any weapons if stain did manage to get any. Also again, that depends on how much control he has. Todoroki and gale were physically knocked down but still managed to use their quirks. If vlad can do something similar, even if he's paralyzed, he can use his blood as Defense. (Or going a more dark route, control the portion of blood stain licked to stab him in the mouth)
I watch MHA with my mom, and after I explained Midnight to her she said; "Hmm.. I think a cool folding fan would go well with her whole 'sexy pheromone' thing. Like as a visual accessory, but also something that works to spread her quirk." My mom is totally right, and I bet Midnight would look super cool with a pair of badass big fans like Kitana, or a huge one like Temari... or even a pair of medium sized ones, that when folded could be worn on the back like swords or on the hip like a katana. She could draw it like a sword and then 'Fwoosh' pop it open and spread her... uhm.. gas? No... ew... uh.. lady stink? No that's much worse. Her uhh... her quirk. She could spread her quirk in style! (Sheesh. Yeah. Mom was right twice! Lmao "quirk" is about as hood as it gets with Midnight!)

In regards to midnight's suit. If anything, her suit seems to hold in her quirk. Its plausable that her quirk is always active making it hard to work with other people on a day to day basis. That being said, when she really wants to crank up her power, she can easily rip parts of her fabric off, expelling more of her gas. The reason for its design is likely two fold. Like Momo, the more exposed skin, the more freedom she has with her quirk. Ergo, a skimpy costume works in her favor. And if skimpy is the best design AND your quirk works best on men, you might as well lean into the aesthetic. Not to mention such an attire would have the added effect of your opponents underestimating your ability. If proximity is the deciding factor of her quick, it makes since to have a design that lures people in.
This is the reason why she originally had a more revealing outfit with more open spots. Though she had to retire that outfit when costume regulations were made directly in response to her original outfit
Her quirk is not always active as there is a episode in season 3 where they show her original costume which was essentially just utility belts that covered her breasts and groin since her skin needs to be exposed to release her gas. Also in the exam where students fought teachers, you see her rip her sleeve to release the gas and knockout sero, but once sero was asleep on her lap, you can see there is no gas coming out from her exposed skin. The reason that she has the elastic body suit is because her first costume caused controversy as to what was decent to wear in public.

I feel like Ms Jokes was inspired heavily by DCs Joker, Horikoshi just wanted to challenge himself by using a well established villain and reimagining him as a hero. Why the gender got bent, Idk. An idea for future episodes, and it may lean too far into head canons, but thats kind of the theme of this channel in general. So could we see some theories on how we think some chatacters discovered their quirks? . Or even just how they used their quirk for the first time. Like Momo: what was her first creation. What happened when Sugar rush had his first candy. Did Uraraka float out of her crib? This idea originally came to me because of Stain and Toga. How does one discover that tasting OTHER people's blood unlocks your quirk. What quirks must their parents have had?
i think there's a service that helps discover quirks for kids with unusual ones. if im not mistaken, it was mentioned that there's a part of the brain that's responsible for a person's quirk, izawa's quirk erases others by targeting that part. so there could be a quirk that picks up the electric signals from that part of the brain with his own brain when his forhead is close to someone else's. then he can know the actions the body takes to make the quirk work and infer what the quirk is through that.
non mutation quirks dont come in till 4 or 5 so sugar rush woulda had candy earlier and one day it triggered his quirk(not to mention if his parent has a similiar quirk they might be similiarly into baking) as an example
I mean looking at her personality it's not particularly surprising if Toga discovered her quirk on her own at a young age. Stain though... I can only assume that his parents had blood-related quirks, so they tried some things with him. Or maybe one time when he bit his tongue or put a cut finger in his mouth he accidentally paralyzed himself, and a little experimentation later he figured it out.

There are a lot more details for Eraserhead, Midnight, and Best Jeanist in the Vigilantes manga. Jeanist straight up controlled giant suspension cables, and midnight had a very different costume while she was at UA
Midnight's costume is made from a material that is easily pulled apart since the aroma from her quirk comes out of her skin. They explained this in season 2 or 3 during the interview with mt.lady and midnight.
Holy shit, Horikoshi must had really scratched his brain off to think all those little details about every hero's outfits, the elements, the symbolism, the gadgets and inspiration for making such unique characters.

An idea for future episodes, and it may lean too far into head canons, but thats kind of the theme of this channel in general.
So could we see some theories on how we think some chatacters discovered their quirks? . Or even just how they used their quirk for the first time. Like Momo: what was her first creation. What happened when Sugar rush had his first candy. Did Uraraka float out of her crib? This idea originally came to me because of Stain and Toga. How does one discover that tasting OTHER people's blood unlocks your quirk. What quirks must their parents have had?
I think the gender bend is so that the romantic dynamic with eraser head flows more inconspicuously
i think there's a service that helps discover quirks for kids with unusual ones. if im not mistaken, it was mentioned that there's a part of the brain that's responsible for a person's quirk, izawa's quirk erases others by targeting that part. so there could be a quirk that picks up the electric signals from that part of the brain with his own brain when his forhead is close to someone else's. then he can know the actions the body takes to make the quirk work and infer what the quirk is through that.
it would be a pretty cool thing to see. i really just enjoy hearing other people's personal stories, so this would especially be nice for me.
non mutation quirks dont come in till 4 or 5 so sugar rush woulda had candy earlier and one day it triggered his quirk(not to mention if his parent has a similiar quirk they might be similiarly into baking) as an example
I mean looking at her personality it's not particularly surprising if Toga discovered her quirk on her own at a young age. Stain though... I can only assume that his parents had blood-related quirks, so they tried some things with him. Or maybe one time when he bit his tongue or put a cut finger in his mouth he accidentally paralyzed himself, and a little experimentation later he figured it out.

Midnight's costume is made from a material that is easily pulled apart since the aroma from her quirk comes out of her skin. They explained this in season 2 or 3 during the interview with mt.lady and midnight.
