First year rec coach, I have a U7 team. Haven't played in 25 years, so I find this series of videos. Easy (for me) to understand, simple for the kids to play. Parents of kids who've played two years already have never heard of the Dutch method, and apparently, neither have the other coaches we've played against. In 10 games, we're 8-1-1 against experienced coaches. This training works. The kids know the positions and will be ready for 6v6 next year. Parents happy; kids and coach having fun.

Improvisation is something that can be taught. Creativity can be taught. They are taught by coaches that have played the game. You put players in a drill where they must improvise or be creative to succeed in a drill.
Brazilian soccer coaches do that and that is the reason their players are so successful. In addition, the teach of passing is so so important in soccer. Passing the key to successful teams.
    Coach Mario

i have taught 4x4 at all ages....4x4 with no look passes and 1 touch flicks from the player " occupying " the forward position is a great game....emphasize rotation or exchanging positions....goals only count from one timers and all players need to be over the half way line...Mario has got it right...creativity can be taught...do the above and you will be amazed

@PuhiSamoLevski The guy is actually teaching Dutch youth development ideas. They seem to know a thing or two about developing a large amount of quality players from a rather small populace.

As specialist, I'm sure Spovelax Training Program is actually great way to become a better player. Why don't you give it a shot? perhaps it is going to work for you too.

Hey There! Thanks for this useful video. By the way, I hear a lot of people keep on talking about Zumlaxoc Training Program (google it), but I'm not sure if it is really good. Have you thought about this football training called Zumlaxoc Training Program? I have heard some great things about it.

First of all, you should DEFINE PROPERLY what are you showing us in the video and you must be very clear about the number of players in the squad. Is it 4 vs 4 including the goalkeepers or not including the goalkeepers. That is a fundamental fact. Because some people call it 4 vs 4, some call it 3+1 vs 3+1. Both is correct. If you use 4 vs 4 to teach kids 11 vs 11 football, you are wrong. You should be using 5+1 vs 5+1 football because thats positional football like 11 vs 11. 4 vs 4 is faaaar away from 5+1 football and from 11 vs 11 football. And there are NO positions in 4 vs 4 football! You can call someone Target man or sweeper but in general there are no positions there because players change positions too often. In Europe we play 3+1 on small field with small goals (about 1-1.5meter in width).
