Hello Coach Reese, I’m not currently associated within a club for analysis but aspiring to be with one very soon. I watch back a lot of games and make notes live of normally pressing, tactics, and shape. I find it hard to identify the tactics and shape in live matches and would really appreciate some tips from an experienced coach like you. Thank you!
Hi Scott! If you check out the videos on my channel I have some on analysis and specifically analysing shape and structure. You may find them useful. If you still have any questions after that, I’d be more than happy to help!
easy and nice explaning from u coach Reese. One thing l want to ask u about Acces , Does Acces mean ANGLES . If we say the players should have bra Acces between them when they passing the ball ,does it mean good angels or diangal pass?
Of course! A good example of as a unit is at a goal kick - the full-backs within the defensive unit will be wide. So the defensive unit is creating space through maintaining width. As a team you can build on from that. The striker will be the highest player within the team so they will create depth. So as a unit the defensive unit create width. The involvement as a striker to create depth is as a team. I hope that makes sense!
Hi Harriom! You can add it if you want! For me scoring a goal is the result of the 5 principles I spoke about, rather than a principle of on its own. But football is a game of opinions so if you want it as one of your principles it can be!
