Being a massive nerd I love the IDEA of the really big firearms mods, but in practice I've found that it's a bloody nightmare finding spare magazines for them when you consider the RNG aspect of the loot, and instead of half a dozen pistols being in the loot table, there are over fifty. I still really appreciate the time and effort folk put into these mods though, it's incredible.
Yeah, this is the main reason I'm not a fan of Brita's, so I do get that! Vanilla Firearms Expansion is a bit more concise :)
@@MrAtomicDuck Well that's good to know! I'll check it out, cheers pal.
Finding four 308 box mags in one play through was some of the best rng I've ever had, lol
Thats exactly how I felt with Britas. 30 weapons and only very few ammo. Then I cut all ammo out except 9mm 56mm and 12g shotgun (vanilla shotgun ammo).
Because thats the only ones I will use anyhow.
Edit: I cut the ammo because then automatically the weapons won't spawn also. (You need mod options mod for it)
2nd Edit: You also will automatically will find more of the ammo thats left (in m case those 3)
Here is how you do it:
ruclips.net/video/-brF35Q2xSA/видео.htmlsi=13VioGVqGOyFSgwu
Another problem with them from the server side of things is that they bloat the save to an insane amount. All those extra weapons, mags, bullets, etc all have to be cached and accessed whenever someone opens a container for the first time in awhile. And to make matters worse players will often just dump the loot they don’t need on the floor so the box regens loot, but that cause the save file to bloat more. That’s why it’s so rare to actually see britas run on servers, it’s a pain in the ass to deal with
Hey! That's my mod "Container Tooltips" at 7:36! Glad you liked it, thanks for the mention :)
Your mod is incredible
This mod makes my 3x3 square of metal crates somewhat sane.
@@Retanaru Yeah same! I'm making another very similar "vanilla+" mod to go with Container Tooltips. It'll make those 3x3 loot rooms VERY easy to use.
Nice work! Great contribution to the community.
Thanks so much!

Thanks for showcasing new mods Mr A Duck very awesome video! I loved the descriptive tooltips for skill levels and installed it right away.
ABOUT THE "DRESS FOR SUCCESS" MOD:
The mod breaks the XP Multiplier mechanic; skill books will stop working. Took me a long time to figure out what was happening, but eventually found out through the mod's comments. You'll read the books, the multiplier will show, and then vanish after some time (and you can't read the book again).
oh, wat a shame
Thank you for sharing this! Huge shame that it bugs out modifiers. I hope they fix that!
I'm glad someone pointed this out, I was going to do the same. It's been bugged for quite some time, with plenty of reports in the comments. There's lots of other issues also, with how XP is calculated, stacking, etc. I personally find this to be somewhat common with the author's other works, and combined with their snarky attitude towards folks who bring the issues up, and we generally avoid this author all together.
@@guycomputer829 I know what you mean. I try to avoid them also.
It's a shame. It's a nice concept... :/
Thumbs up for this one, just downloaded it because the concept was super compelling, but I ran into this exact issue myself.
I saw the building menu mod literally last night, and I've never felt like I was closer to zombie sims than now.
ruclips.net/video/4rFmI0hK4d4/видео.htmlsi=YaUgDrm5LhiHLL4s
Hell yeah.
THAT mod need to be in the Vanilla game... :c @@MrAtomicDuck
The Zims?
Ahh, yes. Zims now makes me want to build an entire civilization out in the woods. I can't wait to get started on this now.
Thanks for featuring my Dress For Success and Obvious Collecting mods, Duck! Much success! 🥳💖
hi! love the obvious collecting mod and your bicycles mod! thank you!
Thanks for visiting dude! All the best as you continue your work 💪
the dress for success mod removes xp modifiers for books, i love the concept but IMO its unusable with that bug
Thank you for the Obvious Collecting mod! I was always wondering why those things were just lying around but couldn't actually interact! It's going to make my world so much better!
A lot of really cool mods, I remember using the BB guns from Gunfighter/Brita to train my aim on a Mall only run I did a while back, was using a similar mod for targets, but it was Mannequins instead.
On a side note, if you upgrade to that Build menu and disable the older one (mentioned in the Mod description as incompatible) it'll make any military crates ((as far as in aware,I've never used any others)) invisible. So you'll have to either clean those out beforehand or use a Sledge to destroy the invisible crates. Dismantle or pick up don't seem to work.
Another side note.. the Better Build Menu (can't exactly remember the name rn) which gives you a better tooltip for Building stuff WILL clash with the Building Menu Mod. It won't let any option be chosen and will slap you with about 300 errors every time you try
Interesting, thank you for sharing this!
Always nice to see these mod showcase videos, I can never get enough of them!
More to come! :) hoping to do these more often on the run-up to Build 42.
Nice job , I'll save this video to try this mods later on
No problem! Glad you enjoyed :)
Great selection to highlight. Some of these are my staples, but some I hadn't see/heard of yet. I'm definitely going to give them a go soon. Thanks for summary!
Please do! Enjoy :)
Good stuff as usual, thanks Duck!
My pleasure!
Oh my god the build menu sounds perfect and super convenient. Absolutely giving that one a go later.
Have fun!
What a great video with a lot of very pleasant surpurises! Great list of mods!
Thanks Simon! :)
New video, great as always! I follow you since you did Dead Matter news a long time ago, your channel really growed since that.
Thanks!
I think this might be the best mod review you’ve done. I love all of those mods. THANK YOU
The build menu, is a god sent! I love the idea you can choose what to craft another feature that should be vanilla!
ok i came here looking for good mods I subscribed and now leave this video with just about every mod mentioned here either way ill be here for your other vids for zomboid :) glad to be here thank you for making these
0:52 I saw that in my recommended and I immediately knew I needed it!
Awesome!
I know its a fairly old mod but the runescape skill progress circles been one of my favorite and how simple it is
Will have to give that one a look!
I’ve just done up a server with roughly 300 mods so I could finally play with all the new qol and anims stuff with a friend. I KNEW the second I got that together the crafting update would likely drop soon and break it all for me!
Hahaha, always gonna happen!
The descriptive tool one is great. I just recently started playing and I've been wondering these things about the skill level.
The weather mod sounds interesting, ive tried recreating cryo winter in coop, but all we got was just a ton of snow, zero rain and -10 at best. The mod to rearrange weapon/tool slots hits my fancy too. Biggest pain i got for car mods tho, is that Tzars armoring of cars grew on me too much, so most car mods are just painful without some way to protect engine
Will definately add some on my next playthrough.
Added all the maps mod from your last video but will remove some of them. Will also go through vehiclemods, i prefer the fully animated ones, makes so much for immersion. I’d hope the basegame vehicles would be fully animated by now or atleast by build 42
Happy to help!
The Motorious Zone has been my car mod of choice ever since it came Jul 11, 2022. I love all of fhqwhgads' mods. And the fact that they do take request for cars and keeps a list of cars he already has planned and a list of requested cars is awesome. I requested the Pontiac Fiero be added and he held up and added in several versions eventually when he got around to it. Now I just gotta get him to add in the IMSA race car one as a rare find with more hp. I just wish the "Standardized Vehicle Upgrades (New Addon-based version)" would get updated to handle The Motorious Zone. Right now that armor mod is the only reason I went back to Fillibuster's.
The training target mod is so cool with the cans
Yeah it's a good one! Just being able to practice is a step up.
Im glad i watched this it helps me in knowing that the mods are there but maybe not something i want to purchase ATM
The “random crit” mechanic from team fortress 2 has long been a sound of significant damage and fear as it puts you on low health from a bs demo volley. The mod tf2 crit sound on bite recreates that fear
Fantastic stuff 😂
Descriptive tooltips and building menu is my fav in this showcase
Thank you for so many wonderful videos and tutorials about Project Zombie! I'm new to the game and was wondering... Would it be possible to do a video about mod manager and load order? I've recently begun to add mods in and am lost on how to figure out the order they should be in.
Training Target mod is awesome! Why didnt anyone think of this until now lol
I look forward to trying these mods.
Enjoy!!
@@MrAtomicDuck thank you.
Me watching this knowing I have every single mod in it already downloaded but just enjoying the Duck content and watching some of my new favorite mods like Build Menu get lots of love and recognition:
There’s nothing cozier than fencing off a big farmhouse in the middle of nowhere and living like the world isn’t destroyed. It’s fun walking between your buildings at night. No weapons, just a flashlight, some chips, and a bottle of bourbon. Though one time I was sitting on the floor of my house. In a base that i had DOUBLE FENCED. It was late at night, I was reading a book, I fast forwarded time, as I usually do in my base. And out of nowhere a zed starts smacking on my window! I never felt so violated.
wow, these new mods looks good for the overall gameplay
I'm still learning this game at the moment.
Want to master the vanilla before I really start confusing myself.
Love these videos though.
You've got my sub.
Glad you like them! Thanks a lot!
However, there are many high quality live mods that do not affect the game.
For example, “Better description for traits"
or
Weapon condition indicator
It really helps you learn the game faster and there's probably no point in playing without them
oh, the mods make this game sooooo much better. Maybe just be selective on which mods you use rather than not use any?
@@Overslaw-Thompson I will at some point.
Just want to know the base game properly before I commit to learning more
@@irishbob26 im fairly new as well, and I'm just telling you they make the game so much more enjoyable
I'm a big fan of the vehicles that KI5's Workshop has... you can pick and choose which ones to install but I just grab them all because they are good quality and he releases new ones every once in a while.
GREAT video . hey i was just wondering what happens to the game when there release build 42. do all the mods still work or do we half to wait till all the mod makers update the mod to the build number
1:25 Oh I know that house! Maybe my favorite out-of-town-yet-not-to-far-from-it spot. :)
Ayyyy!
NICE!! NEW VID
:D
So many good mods, this community is so amazing and decided. 😊😊😊
Yeah they're alright I guess. Don't let them know I said that though.
Great update! Even more content for the greatest zombie survival game ever made!
Thank you! I'm gonna try to put these out a lot more regularly on the run-up to B42 :)
@@MrAtomicDuckI'll be checking out a bunch of these mods in my next playthrough. Top job, my man. :)
Love the videos mate, massive inspiration to me starting my own RUclips journey! Would love to know how you make your videos look so clear and crisp!
Dress for success has known to conflict and bug out exp modifiers
thursdoid tmr🙀 (hopefully🙏, i was wrong last week😭)
It is indeed Thursdoid week :)
Obvious collecting i can pretty much say its a delicious addition, got tons of logs, twigs and stone from now on
The Skyrim level up sound mod is the funniest mod I've seen, definitely worth a try.
Hahaha, love it.
車のMODかっこいい!早速使ってみようとおもう😊
The gun one looks pretty cool
But I have firearm mods that allow improvised silencers and the ability to take part and repair separate parts
And finally, ATRO aiming mod. Would b very cool to see 93 compatible with them
ATRO works pretty well with it from what little I've tested. Haven't tested any of the weapon maintenance mods or looked how they work. Silencers are eventually coming to the mod.
@@Marrok-tj7cz Nice, but its a package deal. Gotta have em all lol
Should get support for them tho if it kicks off, which it did
Really want Guns of 93 - the first firearm I ever bought was a Glock 20, and now I can have one in the game.
I tried the mod out just today and it's REALLY good. Pairs well with advanced trajectory.
It's a good one! Enjoy giving it a try :)
The problem with the clothing and weapon mods that add around/over 100 pieces is that they bloat server save files to the point where they aren’t really usable. Sometimes it’s better to have a few quality items instead of a quantity of items that all do the same function. Example do you really need 8 different types of shotguns? While the different models look nice they all function the same and therefore are taking up space that could be better allocated. That’s the main reason you won’t really see big servers using britas
"Rollin, in my 5.0. Got a field of Zombies I'm about to mow"
Dress for Success mod is broken and will cause all kinds of xp buff issues. Removing a piece of clothing that has a bonus will remove ALL xp bonuses including skill books. this means without a separate mod to reset skill books you can't re-read the skill books.
I always thought that all skills should be capped and only those related to your profession should reach maximun level. It is not realistic that you can become the best in every assignature, that would also encourage multiplayer
Here early to get some new mods
Enjoy!
Guns of 93 is fun and cool but it have so many conflicts with other mods and sometimes the mod itself doesnt work well, i hope they do something about it
Most mods that do two of the same thing won't work together, tbh. Were there any conflicts outside other firearms mods that you experienced?
@@MrAtomicDuck so far just gun arsenal and brita, i did pretty much everything to fix it but wont get it to work out well but whenever im in server it goes smoothly
Brita's is huge, and I believe both mods edit existing items, so that could be the source of your problem. Idk, just wouldn't recommend running them together honestly.
6:00 Please tell me the M1 Garand pings.
Edit: Well that mod is gonna be one of my favourites.
The most satisfying sound there is.
yay duck man uploaded
:D
Dress for Success in as few words as possible -- Cosplay for gains!
Hell yeah 😎
Does building menu let you build walls that zombies won't just rip down and can path around?
being able to set the opacity of menus should be mandatory for mod makers, I've lost characters to the crafting menu mod I use
Is the motorius zone compatible with fillibuster rhymes? Also, I think it would be cool if the motorius zone got compatiblity with autosars tuning
The two should work together, to my knowledge, but it's always risk taking two mods that cover the same thing.
I was going to ask the same thing. Thanks, ADuck for the reply.
I've never had any issues running them both! Generally car mods are okay to run together, though if you have a quadrillion of them it can definitely get iffy.
I love ur vids❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
is the guns of 93 mod supported in multiplayer servers?
Is there a mod to add in Build 42?
got here nice and early
Appreciate the support!
How do you place the dummy in training target? Been having difficulties, hope someone answers.
I´d like to see a wolf´s extraction quest story video.
Covered it in one of my mod videos already, I don't think I'll be doing a gameplay video of it, I prefer to make my own scenarios ^^
@@MrAtomicDuck ....part of a scenario probably ? I like the extraction idea. As if there would be... a safer place somewhere.
I like your own scenarios
Fun fac?:Brita has over 400 weapons sense the last update...Brita my god I love your mods but this is insane
Yeah, too much for me. Gets too complicated 😅
THE BUILDING MOD HAS ROOFS!!
Yep!!
you failed to mention guns of 93 isnt compatible with ANY other firearm mod. i actually removed this last night as i found a few conflists with ammo not being able to be loaded into the correct magazines - it is a damn good mod though
General rule of thumb for Zomboid is not to use two mods that do the same thing, in my experience. You'll always risk conflicts using two mods that alter the same items.
Hello Mr Duck!
Hello!
1 minutes in and I got what I want hahaha... Long Live Survivors
Happy to help!
Anyone by chance know how to get all of the additional Building Menu addons items to work in MP? I have each addon working, but I'm missing loads of extra items from each compared to singleplayer.
OMG I saw a black robin reliant.
Why don't some of these Mods get pushed into the Vanila version though? They're epic!
The devs have taken on quite a few modders in the past, and continue to do so, in order to implement some features they make :) There's a popular mod called "Mod Manager" for example, which is now being created in the vanilla version for Build 42.
Guns of '93 is kind of the middle-ground between the OP of Brita, and the brutal realism of say Arsenal Gunfighter.
And for QOL, if you haven't tried / covered it: Common Sense. Hands down one of the single best mods for all player types in the entire workshop.
Guns of 93 its the GOAT
Nice
Thanks!
Do you know if there's a mod out there that makes glass doors unbreakable? I wanna recreate the OG Dawn of the Dead and it's nigh unbreakable glass doors.
Hi I think the best shot you have is to edit the textfile of the glass door. And increase the HP of the glass door to 99999999 or so...or maybe change it to unbreakable (see other unbreakable items textfile?)
Unfortunately I don't know the location of the file for doors. Only for weapons...
I don't know a mod specifically for this I'm afraid!
really wish there will be mods for achievement and objective in the near future.. there is a mod called PZ achievement, but its a broken mod... it disabled any animation like drinking or reading book.
Try bravens achievements
It works fine on my 300+ mod game
@@Meganought oh, thanks man.. i'll try and give it a shot :)
an update.. it works nicely man.. thanks for the suggestion :) @@Meganought
10:18
Wait. Is that a Supra?
The only thing I hate about car packs is that vanilla cars still spawns and they look so out of place next to real cars.
Braven's mods are very creative but he releases far too many too quickly and then doesn't fix bugs very fast if at all.
There's a mod
For
THROWING KNIVES
I love it lol just found it last week
Also I couldn't get Bianca to work
Will it not work with yaki s clothing?
The build menu mod will not work with ladder mods.
So make your ladders. Put em somewhere then install the build menu. Should work if you don't remove the ladder mod if you have it.
😅
It's not usually advised to run two mods that do the same thing together. One fashion mod, one firearms mod, one vehicles mod etc. Its very possible Yaki's won't work with Bianca Wardrobe because they use and edit the same sort of items :)
Do we know when build 42 is meant to be dropping?
We've now had it confirmed we can expect B42 this year. Public beta in the first half of the year.
@@MrAtomicDuck hell yeah, I’m keen for it
Thanks for replying!
Do you know if there is somebody, who offers the service to make mods compatible? Into modpacks? I would pay for it, I've spend so much time, too much time on working on that.
I imagine that somebody who knows coding will have it easy to figure out where two mods collide and if it can be fixed - by load order, options or compatibility patch
If you don't know: Do you know, where I can find that out?
Also side note: I check all mods, that come out by "most recent" and still, I find new ones through your videos. Mods that did not catch my interest with their thumbnails or I though I did not need them until I saw video evidence...thank you very much!
As in, make two mods work together that don't already? The difficult thing there is that it requires editing the creator's code, which most aren't a huge fan of. You'd need specific permission from each creator. I'm afraid I don't know anyone that does that.
I will, like a MOD with a TESLA that you can dismantle and use it like a house battery 😅❤
Im stuck at work and my farts are spicy
So do you have to dress as a ballerina to gain more nimble experience?
Did anyone find a silencer mod that works with guns of 93? :)
Because of how mods work in Zomboid, probably not going to be a thing until Guns of 93 author does it.
Silencers are coming to the mod. Just getting other things worked on first and still figuring out the details of how I want to implement them.
@@Marrok-tj7cz That sounds great :)
1:00 Never understood the fascination behind farming. Please excuse my french but...so much fuqery when you just can go fishing with a crafted spear for food. Then grill it with a rag from a zombie plus a lighter. No watering, no seeds, no cropse disease etc. I always get a house by the lake or the river (Louisville)
You're looking at it purely from the "This is the quickest way" perspective. Some people just wanna play, not aim to do things the most efficient way, if that makes sense.
@@MrAtomicDuck I understand. Some people want to play Harvest Moon. While my focus is on loot and clearing out zones and the food and tiredness is just something in my way
Braven always been da GOAT XD
He's a good modder, that one!
💀 = me, waiting for the new update
Try PALWORLD mate
Not my taste I'm afraid, but enjoy it all the same! :)
In my opinion totally must play for every survival games buff @@MrAtomicDuck I personally will wait for a b42 (11 months haha), it's hard to play PZ when devs announced b42 this year.
I like this game
Me too :)
Same
Fashion mods...
Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean other people won't find value from it :)
@@MrAtomicDuck Just because someone yawns at fashion mods doesn't mean other people won't find value from it :)
I don't think Real Weather is realistic. Zomboid takes place in Kentucky in the past, a past where we have weather information for every hour of everyday for years all across the entire state. Real Weather boasts temperatures wildly outside of what they actually were. The mod has summer days over 100F. Actual Kentucky in 1993 never even hit 100F as a high, with summer averages more in the 60-85F range. The same is true of winter, barely any days in 1994 were subzero, just a week, with typical winter lows around 15-35F and averages more in the 20-30F range. Real Weather is just extreme for the sake of extreme.
Okay, I meant realistic in the sense that you actually have to treat the weather seriously, not necessarily realism with the variation of weather itself. In the vanilla game weather means nothing most of the time, and whilst the number values don't reflect real life, it does make you think about clothing and other items that can help with harsh weather without being as extreme as mods like Cryogenic Winter.
Kentucky's weather is and has always been some of the wildest shit to live in as well. As for the time, there were days where those temperatures were that high as well. Not all the time everytime but it's been privy to brutally humid summers mixed in with the heat.
@@MrAtomicDuck Maybe it's an improvement in some sense, but the only thing that Real Weather does is change the min, max, default, and variation values of the vanilla game. The entire mod is basically changing 12 numbers and that's it.
I love your channel all the content, mod reviews and all. But please dont become quantity over qualiry.
Not sure what about this is quantity over quality? 😅 I'm still releasing videos at the same pace and all the mods in this video are highly rated.
Dress for success not very good better use dressed for the job. Training targets good idea buggy lots of errors.
Dress for success makes no sense and NOT REALSITIC
It's still a very ugly game. I wish they did a graphic update on it.
