the coolest thing about the commander bluff in closed sheet bo1 is it encourages palafin to come to the battle for haze and then it just gets walled out lol
The fact that this stuff discourages Haze Palafin makes me wonder whether there's a world in which players begin bluffing in the opposite direction, perhaps by using these Pokemon in the same order as the publicly available team but running Commander.
I feel like your first opponent read from your switch in that you were storm drain Tatsu and tried to salvage the game with Pelipper and then just sort of had a blackout after realizing your Glimmora outsped. They were very explicitly avoiding the use of water type moves throughout the entirety of the match and making plays I can’t explain otherwise
I normally don't comment before watching any of the video, but I wanted to note: I had to pause the video as Aaron read off each individual entry. What a roller coaster! It's not just the movesets, these EVs are either really innovative, or reuse spreads from over a month ago that nobody really tracks!
He fr got that rizz in his name tho 😂😂😂 but itbh it's so nice to see a returning champion, this just goes to show hthe pkmn community is such a heartwarming one!
I've been super excited to see Ray making a return, and I'd love to see a Bo3 between either (or both!) of you and James on the Beastcoast channel. Keep up the good work, you're all doing great and I'm really enjoying following you all.
Time to make adjustments! I love the variation of this team. Had good results with the Toxic glimmora variant but this one is so much more consistent! Ty again for an insightful video
I don’t care what they say about “level of competition” you have to take into consideration the tools and information which was available at the time. What I’m tryna say is Ray Rizzo is the Michael Jordan of vgc, GOAT imo
the glimmora set is super interesting to me. i tried running max speed timid AV glimmora myself last season but i put all my remaining evs into sp attack and found it was too frail to be consistent. the bulkiness makes so much sense. especially when he described it as not really getting ohko anyway with max investment so you're kinda still always in that 2hko range the way he has it. pretty smart
Super hype to hear Ray is battling again! It's interesting to me that the tournaments in Japan are closed team sheet, best of one since Worlds is open, best of three. Do y'all think that makes it any harder for the Japanese Worlds qualifiers since they have less official experience with the format?
every time Wolfe says "the world champ difference" in one of his videos, I'm tempted to comment something along the lines of "I didn't know Ray was going to be in this video!" 😂
Chi-yu. I'm such an offensive minded player. Fast special attackers that have high damage are my favorite because they can't be slowed down by an ability like intimidate. Calyrex shadow rider was so special. 😊
"So the Ray Rizzo has returned" Is that a reference to today? Well, a surprise to reference specifically the worst one but still a welcome surprise nonetheless
QOTD: I havent played the actual game so I had to double check Tatsugiri to see if it goes into Dondozo's mouth with Storm Drain lol also grats for winning Pokemon Chess
In the battle against trick room, wouldn't it have been better to substitute with Flutter or just attack with it into Gyarados since Iron Hands was asleep?
the youtube algorithm has to be working against you, like how can 2k subscribers be this hard to get? i swear you had 198k subs like two months ago already? at some point imma just create 2k accounts myself smh
Does anyone know what tf the opponent in the first game was doing? Lmao. They only went for one attack the whole time 😂 and the double protect on pelipper like huh
It looks like they realised the tatsugiri was storm drain when aaron switched it in and their only way of beating it was pp stalling and confusion self hits
Aaron laughing maniacally while metaphorically eating orthworm is such a dark timeline hahaha I love it
Easily the best part of the video. I came looking for this comment.
Can you give a timestamp olease 😭
@@ratio8310 A little past 38:00 !
We need fan art of "Chi-you devouring the Worm", in the style of "Saturn devouring his son" XD
I was expecting him to set the gummy worm on fire ngl 😂

didn’t think i’d cross “aaron eats gummy worm after ohkoing orthworm” off my road to ranked bingo card today but here we are…
I feel like your first opponent read from your switch in that you were storm drain Tatsu and tried to salvage the game with Pelipper and then just sort of had a blackout after realizing your Glimmora outsped. Yeah, his plays were really weird, like why did he just keep protecting and substituting over and over?
"sorry orthworm, tastes delicious though" looooool
I love watching aaron cybertron zheng climb the online vgc ladder in pokemon scarlet and violet and eat gummy worms as he goes
Love to see you supporting Ray! His fun bug team to master ball or eat a bug challenge video is top tier.
Ray reminds me of MewtwoKing from Smash, just an absolute machine. The knowledge he has is incredibly vast for VGC.

I swear this year of VGC has been the most fun I've had with Pokemon in ages. Love to see the community thrive as well!
This is the first game I’ve really had an interest in vgc. I love the strategy in it
Aaron I just finished playing you on the ladder and honestly it was so nerve wrecking, hopefully you found the match interesting as well
38:42 "This is a worm"
Time to make adjustments! I love the variation of this team. Had good results with the Toxic glimmora variant but this one is so much more consistent! Ty again for an insightful video
That gummy worm stood no chance against Aaron's super effective teeth
Love the commentary on this episode. Great to see you having so much fun! Thank you for being such a positive part of this community! ❤

Omg Aaron eating Orthworm mid-match is absolutely legendary behavior 😹
I’m honestly always surprised when I realize you don’t have 1,000,000 subs
hey man finally got to masterball watching your vids!! super helpful entertaining content
Congrats!!! Thank you for watching the content :)
A Rizzo Team played by Aaron? Sign me up :-D Thanks for a great episode!
Can't wait to see how he stacks up to the current competition should be fun to watch.
"as long as it doesn't KO"
*gets frozen*
That jacket is fire (along with the gameplay ofc)
To put into perspective how good Ray is. He has been immortalized in the PWC in B2/W2 as his own downloadable tournament boss
13:20 oooo shinies pokemon
RAY WORLDS SWEEP 2023 💪🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
Ray 🔥 Rizzo 👑 2023. Stop 😤 at 🙏 nothing 😎
It's Wiltank!!!
Thanks, Aaron. I will now name my Orthworm "Gummy". :P
I was waiting for a new video 🙌🏼 thanks for the dope content Aaron 👊🏼
Spotted the album art for Ascend Illenium on your wall behind you, great album :)
What a good way to start the morning... With an Aaron video!

I am really excited to see how this team competes , and super excited to see what he brings to the big stage.
idk why thje first guy didn't just surrender instead of wasting time. Man really brought 3 water types and 0 fucking coverage moves to a battle
I was so waiting for that Storm Drain activation in the first game, only for it to never come!
Who knew orthworm tasted so good
After watching you mercilessly click Flamethrower on the Orthworm switch in, I'm wondering if a team could be built using Orthworm alongside Dachsbun.
3x world championship difference babyyyyy!!!
Oh Mighty RUclips Algorithm.

im waiting for the episode where you conveniently have sushi or a mushroom
Dang you did him dirty with that thumbnail 😂 he’s like a legit hot dude now in 2023
Left a like for that villain laugh! Lol!
Super hype to hear Ray is battling again!

R.I.P. 🪱
In the last game, maybe a substitute to avoid sucker from chien pao could have been the play! Great games as always ;)
Give this man a sushi tray for every Dongiri KO
It's time to give Levitate back to Gengar! That's what I'm learning from the escalation of power in this generation.
I swear watching yout videos is like studying from ladder. Im on a few day break after the randomness of ultraball hell 😂
you and wolfey are a huge inspiration for me
In response to the QOTD, definitely the Tatsugiri. It’s funnier because he also had to make Dondozo so he can play mind games on his opponents
The rizzler himself has returned!
Would be so cool to see a rematch between Wolfey and Ray at worlds!
This Wolfe - Ray worlds final for the GOAT title is gonna hit so hard
38:22 - 38:46 savage Aaron moment lmao
The glee on Aaron’s face when he ate the gummy worm made me laugh so much!
Remember to like and subscribe!
every time Wolfe says "the world champ difference" in one of his videos, I'm tempted to comment something along the lines of "I didn't know Ray was going to be in this video!" 😂
Is Wolfe a world champ? You would think he would have mentioned it.
Ray Rizz(o) showing his VGC rizz once again!!
Aaron Cyberrizz Zheng as well
Congrats on winning Pokemon Chess tournament!
The Goat of Pokemon has returned let's go.
I think in the first game he was praying you'd swap tatsugiri to reset the drops lol.
Chi-yu. I'm such an offensive minded player. Fast special attackers that have high damage are my favorite because they can't be slowed down by an ability like intimidate. Calyrex shadow rider was so special. 😊
I love how now this man’s last name is a meme, he returns 😂
Somehow Ray Rizzo has returned.
"So the Ray Rizzo has returned"
Is that a reference to today?
Well, a surprise to reference specifically the worst one but still a welcome surprise nonetheless
First game opponent was a straight up troll haha
QOTD: I havent played the actual game so I had to double check Tatsugiri to see if it goes into Dondozo's mouth with Storm Drain lol
also grats for winning Pokemon Chess
"Woah woah woah, it's Rizzo!"
needed a melted gummy worm as a prop lol
Do we know if Worlds will be Open or Closed Team Sheets yet? Is Worlds run by PC or PCI?
Would goodra over chi-yu help who if attacked will drop speed?
D: what did you do to that poor worm
Ray Rizzo...stops at nothing :D
Bro ate the orthworm 😭
Ah yes. the REAL World champ difference. None of that *other* "world champ" nonsense here. Bless you, Rizzo ^^
Aaron eats an effigy of Orthworm; savage 💀
I’ll take a gummy worm… and EAT IT
In the battle against trick room, wouldn't it have been better to substitute with Flutter or just attack with it into Gyarados since Iron Hands was asleep?
I was also thinking maybe yawning gyarados instead of double protect. Flutter could protect the next turn and hope for enough sleep turns?
The return of the King
Two words: dual wingbeat
Return of the King
I need help getting to those tournaments 🍿
When will aaron zheng be back???
Ray is the pele of vgc
What a perfect first game.
"DeLadinho" is such a funny name xD
Such a corny brazilian way of referencing something done from the sides with a somewhat sexual undertone hahaha
Let's goooo! Hypeeee!
Wait I'm confused. Were the qualifiers not open team sheet? Are only major tournaments open team sheet?
Yeah, it's set up the same way Global Challenges are set up. Closed sheet, best of 1.
Yeah the king is back
why do i hear boss music?
Nice jacket Aaron
HEXellent 😂😅
Jacket lookin' hella fresh 😌👌
the youtube algorithm has to be working against you, like how can 2k subscribers be this hard to get? i swear you had 198k subs like two months ago already? at some point imma just create 2k accounts myself smh
assault vest glimmora is frickin cool
Ray got that Rizz tho
Does anyone know what tf the opponent in the first game was doing? Lmao. They only went for one attack the whole time 😂 and the double protect on pelipper like huh
It looks like they realised the tatsugiri was storm drain when aaron switched it in and their only way of beating it was pp stalling and confusion self hits
What is "IQ" he brings up sometimes? 😭
