- Revaroom has seen practically no play in competitive VGC in Scarlet/Violet so far... until now! This team features a unique set with Overcoat, Clear Amulet, and Water Tera to have a very favorable match-up into the common core of Flutter Mane, Palafin, Arcanine, and Amoonguss. With Shift Gear and support from Maushold, Revaroom can quickly turn into a fast paced threat!

Thanks so much for featuring my team! I didn't expect the team to be any good going into Portland, but it greatly exceeded my expectations. Having played around with Revavroom for over a month now, it's super fun to watch people approach it so differently. I don't think I have ever gotten three Shift Gears up in a single game. Keep up the awesome content!

It's so funny to me that the only Pokemon that gets Misty Surge currently is the Fairy Revavroom in Team Stars quest line
I'm hoping future paradox mons take advantage of other terrains and weather. Plus dlc pokemon with terrain setting abilities to help aid this.

QOTD: Revavroom, Baxcalibur, Tinkaton, Kingambit are all awesome looking. Orthworm, Tatsugiri, Lechonk, Maushold are all so cute. The Paradox Pokémon are also really cool spins on the old designs that I really love. Really love how the new shading makes the Iron mons and Scizor look absolutely wicked.
Battle 3 was incredible! I love seeing less common Pokémon on this channel, always a delight.

QOTD: Favorite new design is the Arboliva line. First time I saw Smoliv, I knew I had to use it on my playthrough.
I've used it before in Trick Room teams. It's great. I only wish it didn't monopolize Terrain Pulse. It would be great as a Terrain Setter next to Clawitzer if it could still Terrain Pulse.
I was actually thinking “I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a manual Electric Terrain setter here” when I saw the team preview for game 2. That’s a cool strat that should probably be seeing more play.
Qotd: I absolutely love Annihilape and Kingambit. Annihilape is a DBZ character turned Pokémon, and Kingambit looks like a Super Sentai-type villain. Great stuff.

As an Automotive Technician I love the representation of my career in my favorite video game (and biggest money pit/enjoyment) with my favorite pokemon vgc youtuber
we battled earlier and our game disconnected, it was such a good battle! I’m heartbroken lol. I was the player with the fire Tera iron hands + howl arcanine, if you remember.
I’d love to see you pilot an electric terrain team like that second match. You don’t see quark drive used in the same way as protosynthesis which is interesting

@@Midwest_ern thinking about this, Spin out just flat out getting hazard removal and *lowering* speed might be kinda cool, high-powered mirror of Rapid spin for trick room teams... if yknow, other pokemon ever get access to it.
@@K8aclysm I would be in favor of that too! A unique wrinkle for Revavroom and a contrast to Kleavor and Hisuian Samurott who get to have a strong attack that sets up hazards, while Revavroom does the opposite.

My favorite thing about Revavroom is that it works on teams as both a speed demon oon speed-teams, and a trick room sunday driver. Spin Out lowering your speed by 2 stages is so incredibly strong in a trick room setting since after 1 Spin Out, if you have min-speed, you're almost guaranteed to outspeed anything in trick room. It's just such a shame that Revavroom's TM move pool kinda stinks.

Revavroom does seem like the ultimate Amoongus counter. Immune to powder moves and even if amoongus is running an attack, it is immune to poison and quad resists grass. And I have never seen an Amoongus run a non-stab attack, and like 99% of the time it is sludge bomb or clear smog lol.
I loved the slow flutter mane, eject pack wo, with torkol and jumpluff with roaring moon. I threw in orthworm instead of the fish. And I love it, I miss having fun variety to shuffle pokemon in and out taking advantage of shed tail and smack down and so much other silly fun things.
Its great seeing all these pokemon most people don't use or try being used in different builds. I would really like to see someone preview a Hariyama with Burn orb, guts, Belly Drum and Normal Tera Facade. Everyone expects a fake out Trick room no one ever seems ready for the belly drum sweep. As much as I love using it, I do think it does require a better team builder than my self to build around it.
QOTD: I think I'm gonna say Gholdengo. I love that this is a fully evolved Pokemon thats not supposed to be bad-ass or angry. Its just a happy little guy!

My top 3 would be Great tusk, Meowskerada and Klawf , in this order. Great tusk is the justice donphan deserved, Meowskerada is just a cheeky magician cat, deffinitely one of my favourite furry baits, and Klawf is a crab, i love crabs.

For QOTD, I think Farigarif is by far the best gen 9 design, but also a big fan of Chien Pao and also Walking Wake and Iron Leaves
qotd: maushold is literally just a bunch of actual mice, but that makes it all the more funny and charming to me
QOTD: definitely Tinkaton, it instantly jumped into my top 5, just the perfect combination of cute and over the top is just so perfect. Also Paldean Wooper, but I’m not sure if that counts lol
Different format here but I have been doing a lot of Wi-Fi battles lately. I usually do singles battles and I have been using a team that includes revavroom. I use a jolly nature. Max attack and speed. Focus sash. Tera water. Moves are shift gear, iron head, poison jab, and tera blast. I have had SO MUCH success using it. After 1-2 shift heads it outspeeds even choice scarf pokemon. I usually prefer more accurate moves so I use poison jab over gunk shot. Also I know some people like to use spin out but the flinch chance (in my opinion) of iron head makes iron head the better move. Glad to see others talking about revavroom. I really like the Pokémon a lot. For the QOTD my favorite gen 9 Pokémon absolutely is farigiraf l
My most successful team this gen was a tera normal + normal gem Revavroom with self destruct and shift gear, alongside a telepathy Medicham with fake out, feint, helping hand, and trick room. I adore this pokemon
Mischief makers is one of the best gems of that era. Shake shake shake!

All the Future Paradox mons get Electric Terrain and all the Past Paradox mons get Sunny Day. It's cool to see people finally starting to use it.
Its possible in game two the opponent was assuming a non max speed/ timed fluttermane and thought iron hands would outspeed with flutter when its at -2speed so they would proc their own sash with eq.
Nice video as always Revavroom Overcoat is actually anti-Amoonguss lol its crazy!, favourite from gen9? i guess Ceruledge , but i liked a bunch of mons this gen: Skeledirge , Kingambit, Annihilape, Veluza and Cetitan, so its a hard choice lol.
QotD: you already hit Maushold, I guess my second choice is Annihilape. Though I think his battle pose is really weird

I’ve never played Vgc before this season, but I’ve made it master ball tier and just three days. It was quite a struggle at first as I had sunny day murkrow and 3 proto Mons so I felt the need to always bring murky boy.. went 8-1 then went 6-15 finally gave up on sunny day and it made my ladder climb much smoother! I wish I had the ability to use an off brand team and win with it though…
Steel type are really good in this meta currently. The only problem is that we don't have top tier steel types. It's why Orthworm, Corviknight and Kelfki are being used despite their stats. They have good typing and ability and pair with Pokemon currently in the meta

i personally think it would have been interesting if clefable received the fighting/fairy type paradox form but in the past.
CleFist! The Heroic pokemon. A Fairy/Fighting type. Main Ability: Justified. Hidden ability: Pure Power/Flare boost.
Description: This pokemon came from an ancient time long lost and was said to only appear wherever there is justice needed! be it protecting eggs/baby pokemon or providing berries to those pokemon no longer able to hunt for themselves. This pokemon was once the living embodiment of justice itself and would always fight evil!
Base Stats:
HP: 140
ATK: 130
SPATK: 130
DEF: 120
SPDEF: 125
SPEED: 105
This pokemon would be a balanced attacker.
You could go for a physical setup with pure power or justified or maybe go for a special setup with flare boost and catch opponents off guard if they go for a will o wisp.
The Speed is nothing too special i think tailwind would help alot.
The bulk on this pokemon is much better allowing it to hopefully tank atleast 1 or 2 hits without the need to outspeed.
moves: moonblast, play rough, aura sphere, close combat, bulk up, calm mind etc. This pokemon has a large movepool giving it plenty of options for category and types of moves.
The N64 nicknames for the team are great! Not sure why Volc is Goldeneye though.
Volc was going to be Body Harvest, but I didn't want to risk it being flagged by the judges as a potentially inappropriate name, so I went with GoldenEye at the last minute.

Iron Valiant has the best design to me. It’s a mix between gardevoir and gallade, two Pokémon I already think are awesome, and then it was given a whatever that weapon is called. It’s unfortunate that it’s shiny doesn’t hold up in my opinion, but it’s still an amazing looking Pokémon regardless.

Revavroom and Overcoat makes me wonder if Cloyster Overcoat with Loaded Dice could work. While Spore and Rage Powder keeps Overcoat viable, it is a shame that Overcoat has gotten weaken due to Hail being removed. Overcoat could use a boost, especially for poor Leavanny.
