Gents, I apologise that for the first few minutes of this video, I am not looking into the camera. This was my first video filming with a new phone and I was looking at the wrong end 😅 I hope you enjoy the video regardless
Mannn... this is by far the best breakdown of Newman's style in all of RUclips. Your extensive analysis was spot on along with your tips to make it your own. Appreciate the leads on some of the pieces to acquire to mimic his look. You keep upping the anty, my friend. Really appreciate you covering the Newman method of fashion. The photo examples were chef's kiss. Cheers, brethren!
Thank you Chris! I'm glad you feel the videos keep improving. It is my aim to get a little better every week. I'm happy to hear you like the examples too. It helps me visualize how somebody might go about putting these looks into practice.
Another video with great examples. I enjoy his casual style. As you mentioned, the nautical influence is a look that I enjoy seeing. I have been wearing Sperry also and I am not an A lister (yet)! Sperry has some rematkable selections now. Of course, the canvas CVO's are very classic. They come in a variety of colors now and finishes. Some have a brushed look that are waterproof. Also, ankle boot styles and colors that are great for wet weather. I also have a pair of Sperry canvas sneakers that I like. They are easy enough to rub out a dirt spot or two. They have white leather sneakers too. Thank you for your videos. I always enjoy them.
Hi William, thank you for your comment! Sperry shoes are not something I currently own but perhaps next summer I'll try them out! I think the navy pair would go nicely with the nautical-inspired casual looks.
I've been slowly replacing my attire with good quality attire. Boots replaced with redwing heritage boots. Dress shoes replaced with Allen edmond shoes. Cheap blazers replaced with vintage wool blazers hand sewn in Scotland. Cheap belts replaced with high quality made in the USA leather belts. I mean still have ways to go but slowly replacing them.
Hey man! Great analysis. With regards to the Spier & Mackay sweaters, are they a decent midweight thickness? Two ply? I don't expect a chunky merino sweater for $100, nor do I want one, but I've been burned the last two places I ordered merino knits from (Charles Tyrwhitt and 'naner republic) They had paper thin sweaters that show every button and seam when layering. Thanks for any input!
Thank you! That's a great question. Yes, they are a good midweight thickness that you could wear over a shirt easily. Very much enough to keep you warm but without that nasty overheating feeling. I would say the quality is a whole step above what you would find at Charles Tyrwhitt and Banana Republic. I have no affiliation with Spier and Mackay whatsoever but they give fantastic value for money so I love recommending them. The store does not have good marketing images or social media, which I think lets them down. But the construction and quality of the clothing are unbeatable at their price range, and better than many more expensive brands.

Thant's kind of funny, but I never noticed until you mentioned it. I like these style icon reviews; please keep them coming? Thanks!
I'm glad it wasn't too noticeable! I'm glad you're enjoying the series, and yes, I will have a new style icon each week!@@arthurcatalanotto1151

It also helped that Newman was one of the handsomest men ever to have lived.
Great analysis of Paul Newman’s style. For other style icon videos you might consider Steve McQueen, Cary Grant, or Jude Law or even Richard Gere.
Thank you, some great suggestions there. Cary Grant seems to be popping up a lot recently
One of the greatest of the greats..I saw him many moons ago on 5th Avenue in nyc walking with Robert redford...people just looked 😊
Great humanitarian
